I didn't say it's exclusive to Rogue, I'm saying it's mostly associated with with it as more than half of these cards are Rogue cards. It's like Beasts and Hunter, all classes have them but they're still a Hunter thing.
A while back they half-arsedly tried to make battle cry shaman happen. I guess they are giving it another go.
<3 seems really strong, kind of faster spirit Echo with a body + elemental synergies. Also makes spellstone more usable, will see if it is still too slow
Exodia mage will never rule the meta. There is only 2 combo decks that ruled the meta ( Patron warrior and highlander priest) and if you look this decks, you can see a very important difference. Minion quality, yes mage can spawn board clears allright, but when a hunter druid shaman or even a dragon priest gets a tempo it's over for them. Warrior and priest can handle the tempo bceause of their heropowers
Your reasoning doesn't make sense. Warrior and priest's hero power has nothing to do with tempo while mage's does. Warrior and priest provide survivability but mage has that in the form of Ice Barrier, Ice Block and freeze stall. When other classes get tempo, clears are how you reset that. Mage has tons of those. And even if they can't handle the tempo, they have at least two turns of survival from Ice Block which negates the worries surrounding your opponent having tempo. I've had it where I had lethal on the board for 6 turns straight and still couldn't kill a quest mage. That is never the case with patron or Razakus. Minion quality helps a deck out but spell quality and win conditions are equally important. And I would argue that there are plenty of high quality minions in quest mage.
The only reason Quest Mage hasn't ruled the meta is because it is a hard counter to control and we rarely have full control metas. If it comes to that, Quest Mage has a major leg up on some of the competition. It is pure ignorance to say that the deck could never rule the meta.
I don't know why, but this feels like a win-more card. If you are already ahead on board so as to make substantial use of its battlecry, i'd say you won't even need this card to win, e.g. you were somehow able to make a fire elemental, and a blazing elemental, stick on the board.
The key to decks utilizing this legendary is how well the deck addresses the aggression of Tempo Rogue and Zoolock and the parade of threats from Big Priest and Big Druid. I think Hex needs to return to the meta and shaman needs ways to better play the tempo game.
Quest Mage is only really a hard counter to Big Priest. They are favored against control lock and big druid but those decks can overwhelm the quest mage.
Meanwhile, Quest Mage has about 6 to 7 hard counters. I don't see any evidence that those decks are going to up and disappear even with dragon priest possibly becoming a thing.
They'd better release an understated 6-mana minion with a powerful battlecry in this expansion. Otherwise that is some serious Doppelgangster+ Evolvebuff
Well, I really don't know what to thing about this. This is one of those cards, which can't be evaluated that easily.
But I'm really happy - it looks decent, it has the elemental tag, nice stats and not a useless shaman card. I would definitely want to put it in my jade elemental deck. Would be really happy, if I pack him.
Why 8 mana? It costs only 6. And 7/7 for 6 mana is always good even on empty board.
I've voted "very good" because Grumble is really very very good in Elemental Shaman and, probably, even in Evolve Shaman (I've always wanted to trigger Battlecry for those evolved minions). I've played Elemental Shaman, and Grumble will be really amazing there: Servant of Kalimos, Jade Spirit, Aya and Blazecaller all have Battlecry. Even Golakka Crawler benefits a lot from it!
I should probably vote "meta-defining", as it will definitely strengthen Elemental Shaman enough to keep it Tier 1.

edit
HOly shit. I thought this legendary makes your cards cost 1 less.
I re-read the effect. Definitely would want to pack him.
This card is extremely good for an Elemental Shaman deck. Might be a bit iffy in an Evolve Token Shaman though.
iffy on an token evolve shaman, but on a control evolve shaman? (which is actually pretty good) this is pretty broken. return 3/3 kill a minion to hand? OK, return 2/4 draw a card to hand? OK, return 2/3 taunts (to create 2 extra 2/3 taunts. ok. It's another way other than evolve to make their already broken battle cries more broken. And the deck runs most jades too, wich are also great with this card.
Well this is like an apology card for the Shaman weapon I guess :P
This + Saronite Chain Gang is a good synergy of 2 very powerfull cards

Surprise!
I actually love Elemental Control shaman played it a bit and the problem this deck has is the same as any other fringe control deck atm.
It loses to Chaingunduin and Jade Druid, however Raza and Jade will rotate out next year thatll propably be elemental time.
Cool card with an interesting statline that pushes the border i like it.

Something tells me that there can be a OTK in Wild, but a pretty complicated one.. Thaurisan, Malygos, Grumble and bunch of spells

Just want to remind everyone how strong Bonemare was at 1 mana during the Miniature Warfare Tavern Brawl... if you get this card, do NOT dust it.
Come visit my Card Emporium. Strange things, you will find inside...
Come take the test, if you're daring. Feel free to show me your results in a message.

UPD: nevermind, we already have three such cards revealed: Seeping Oozeling, Rin, the First Disciple, Spiteful Summoner

Well... I am actually pretty happy with this.
Gorge you hatred, embrace your rage.
This card seems pretty powerful.
a 6 mana 7/7 is already good stats above the average.
returning cards to your hand is a little meh, but now they cost 1???? seems pretty flexible
I say has some potential and looks fun to mess around with.
Actually as others have been bringing to light, it's great in a heavy elemental deck too, The Elemental chain just never ends.
Control evolve shaman and elemental shaman.
