This can be seen as a 2/5 at worst and probably a 2/6 on average. It can even tank 3 attacks occasionally where tar creeper only tanks 2... The question is how much does that 1 additional attack matter, and I think its substantial... There are a lot of 2 mana 2/3s and all are super annoying to deal with
curious to see what other anti-aggro tools pop up. duskbreaker alone is meta-breaking. this coupled with the slow nature of a lot of the revealed cards points to a...control-ish meta?
1 - Fire fly 2 - Prince Keleseth (Fire fly was kill in turns 1 or 2 by the Rival) 3 - Shadowstep,Lone Champion,Prince Keleseth (If Firefly is alive, you shadowstep to, and use the two minion of none cost, to put edwin on play on turn 4)
Lone Champion into Duskbreaker into Drakonid Operative and you totally snowball the board? Of course, that means you're doing nothing on T1 and T2 - we'll have to see if there are any good 1/2/3-drop dragons in this set.

Life before death. Strength before weakness. Journey before destination.
this is so good in warlock tap or play a 2 drop and trade it next turn lone champion or defile, twisting clear board and lone champion plus a 5 drop or less is pretty good.
Very good for Paladins. With a single buff it's 3/5, divine shield, taunt. Easy to wait and play on turn 3 or as the first minion after the board's been cleared or your first few smaller minions are wiped out.
It's pretty damn sticky, though I don't know if it beats Tar Creeper as an anti-aggro tool since Tar Creeper's 3 attack kills more stuff. Though it will certainly be good in decks that run a lot of buffs, like in Paladin where you both care about the Divine Shield and can run Spikeridged Steed/Bonemare/etc.
Today in my free brawl pack I got Barongeddon, then I had a cup of fresh green tea. As a result of that, I think Priest is OP because my keyboard is not a mechanical one. I hope Blizzard will address this issue.
Better Tarcreeper in no-elemental decks, will see play for sure maybe in this weird control hunter with no spells and no early game beatss who knows, 5star card for sure.
Totally thought this was a paladin class card - as a neutral card, really darn good.
As a 2/4 without the battlecry, it's passable if you just badly need more board.
With the battlecry, it's effectively a Psychotron with 1 less attack for 2 less mana, which is a huge discount. In terms of raw stattage, it's basically at least a 2/5 taunt thanks to the divine shield, which puts it on a good stat level for a 3 drop, especially for dealing with late game minions.
Don't know what constructed decks it could fit into, but damn, good card all around, and should be a solid pick in arena.
dont overhype it guys. its a neutral wickerflame but a little worse. And wickerflame was not crazy by any means
Its not being overhyped. Its just a well designed anti aggro card and it is not op. Wickerflame is a paladin exclusive legendary and has 2 less health, this is available to all classes.

Trades better than Creeper! I love it
English isn't my first language, so please excuse any mistakes.
Good designed card...hard to trigger for heavy minion decks so will most likely be played by more controlish decks.
An early taunt but unlike tar creeper this cant be play in aggro/token deck, very interesting design for control

To all those saying this card isn't good because it's bad late game.....what 3 drop is good in the late game???

This will be so damn annoying to kill with any class that's not priest...

This card will be crazy in any kind of control deck. If the meta gets faster it will also be great in kazakus priest to compliment Tar Creeper. Nice!
Meanwhile in a Tempo Rogue deck:
Turns:
1 - Fire fly
2 - Prince Keleseth (Fire fly was kill in turns 1 or 2 by the Rival)
3 - Shadowstep,Lone Champion,Prince Keleseth (If Firefly is alive, you shadowstep to, and use the two minion of none cost, to put edwin on play on turn 4)
Rival: Concede

0/10 won't see play whatsoever, i cant believe they printed this trash card.

Card for control Hunter. This along with Tar Creeper is pretty good to fend off early game.
