I Knew it, I knew Kathrena wasn't meant to be played with Highmanes, she wants King Krush and Charged devilsaurs.
Now here is my non-beast 6 drop. 5/4 deathrattle summon a 7/7 or 8/8 with charge? How is this bad again?
This card is good on its own (with Kathrena) , and also makes abominable bowman a card worth considering.
I really like how it's a good 6 drop but doesn't compete with Highmane at all.
Or summon Alleycat. Card is playable, but in which deck? In deathrattle deck it has too many possible targets. In deck with only 2-3 powerful deathrattles you risk u draw those deathrattles earlier. And it costs 6 mana, I prefer to play Highmane for this cost.
Kathrena Winterwisp, Savannah Highmane, Abominable Bowman. Seems like a strong mid-range / control core, but it remains to be seen if they get enough support to actually get there. Also, the stats are rather crappy.
Oh look, an Ooze which I can dust to craft Carnivorous Cube for my deathrattle hunter...
Cube is just 1000 times better with deathrattle cards and has anti synergie with this will see no play its wayyy overcosted. Keep in mind also that highmane is considered to slow in most hunter lists atm, this has even weaker stats. Should have costed 5 but still i would run cube over it.
Not a beast, synergy with Kathrena & Abominable Bowman & Devilsaur Egg.
I think Big Hunter might actually be a thing and I like it.

Bad game design bad card.
Carnivorous Cube and this go in completely different decks.
I'm imagining Big Hunter so far is gonna look something like:

No alleycat, because deck building exists.
In classic tempo hunter Highmane is better of course.
This belongs in a different deck, you don't "prefer" Highmane. And that deck is NOT deathrattle hunter. All you want is Kathrena, 1 abominable bowman and 2 of this. Basically, seeping oozeling will replace Kathrena when you don't draw her. If you draw her, well that's why you play he bowman so your oozeling isn't dead.
And if u draw both, Kathrena and bowman? U will have understated card in your hand/deck and probably weird deck without synergy. Also bowman summons "beast that died that game" so if u want charge dino u need to play and kill this dino first (oozeling is 6 mana, bowman 7, charged devilsaur 8 and king krush 9 mana). Also whats your early game? No cheap beasts and beast synergy because Kathrena and bowman can summon them, no Animal Companion, no Razormaw etc. etc.

You can't have 100% consistency with these decks or they would break the game. Think about Barnes.
I play a rogue deck with Barnes, sherazin and Yshaarj as my only minions. Sometimes I draw sherazin and Yshaarj first, sometimes I don't draw any the entire game. But the Barnes combo is still most consistent that way.
And I think the most consistent way to run Seeping oozeling is to run Kathrena + 1 abominable bowman.
Barnes has battlecry, now imagine Barnes with same effect but in deathrattle. This is your Oozeling. And lets say u play Oozeling on curve and got Bowman deathrattle. But its deathrattle does nothing because u didn't played any beasts before. And this overcomplicated combo is for what? Finisher? I think Leeroy + Cube + Coin + Play Dead for 18 dmg is more reliable than Oozeling.

Then you did a bad job building your deck. Especially since Hunter has both Stitched Tracker and Tracking, so there's plenty of opportunities to tailor your draws to what you need.
Also the animal companions (except maybe Leokk) are all decent pulls from Abomniable Bowman anyway. But uh, I don't think Animal Companion adds a whole lot to Egg Hunter, Big Beast Hunter OR Deathrattle Hunter so IMO that's moot.
I think in general most of these suggested hunter decks probably need a less beast/tempo-based early game. Hopefully the remaining cards will give them that.
The deck I posted/suggested will main involve playing an early Devilsaur Egg. The Devilsaur itself is a potential pull from Abominable, and it has nice synergy with Play Dead. The main issue I see with the deck I posted/suggested is it just doesn't run enough big beasts for Katherena AND the Oozes to pull. I guess she's actually mostly just a tutor herself.
I think there's also probably a version that runs Highmane and N'zoth in place of the Ooze and doesn't run Abominable. Sort of in the style of the old N'zoth Paladin that just played high roll Deathrattles. (i.e. Sylvanas and Tirion) I think this version is probably more consistent and requires less commitment (also Stitched Tracker lets you pull multiple N'zoth's and stuff).
the priestdrake alone will force a decision from aggro Players and if there is way to much aggro and boardflood type decks you can just Play a lowcost Dragon priest deck. so going into a more Control style isnt wrong.
Priest is working as such a weirdly good equalizer right now. Highlander Priest really forces out a lot of tempo/aggro decks because it's so good against them, but it's really bad against slower control decks that apply a lot of big pressure and/or heal themselves. And it's looking like one of the main themes of this expansion is going to be BIG late game plays that will hopefully speed up games so slower decks that aren't just fatigue decks will see play.
I'm hoping with Mistress and a few other early control cards cycling out that we start to see some decent-good early game plays like Tar Creeper and Stone Hill Defender get added. Not just early big taunts but things which actively help deal with tempo boards somehow. Stuff like Spreading Plague.
Cool design but that stats are really bad and there aren't too many insane deathrattles that you can consistently hit, even if you hit Highmane who cares?
nice card, but you need a deathrattle better than highmane to make it really worth it. so Meat Wagon and Deathwing, Dragonlord seem the most obvious choices. probably in the same deck, along with Ysera and Malygos.
a deck like that could easily become quite strong in any meta i think... well, until n'zoth and deathwing, dragonlord rotate out with the next expansion at least...

Right now it looks like an understated Savannah Highmane or worse. Ya there might be some better deathrattles to combo this with but it could just as easily weaken your deck... though deathrattle hunter is looking a little better... still bad card.
I've said it before in the spiteful summoner thread and I'll say it again. What is Blizzard's obsession with High cost minions with poor stats that have a random ability? I guess having minions with relatively good stats for their cost with a consistent ability are not as interesting and I guess there still is not enough randomness in the game.
Ok enough sarcastic bellyaching, its a cool design but 6 mana 5/4 are really weak stats and because it is a relatively late game card at 6 mana, you run a bigger risk of drawing the deathrattle minion you want this guy to copy so this card may not be consistent enough, and there are not really a lot of deathrattles good enough to justify a 6 mana 5/4.
Never run in a Midrange or aggro deck (which is usually the only competitive Hunter deck), therefore probably won't see play.
As said earlier - only a deck with HUGE deathrattles (sylvanas, DW:DL) could make this work. But usually those don't fit in Hunter best.
I wonder whether the 'if it's your opponent's turn' condition would be removed if it's copying the deathrattle? Could then be OK with Skelemancer. But actually even an 8/8 is probably borderline making up for the terrible stats.
But if this expansion has a deathrattle version of Reno or something, then this could be good!

Very weird card. has potential, but the stats are awful. remains to be seen how many good deathrattles there are and are yet to come.
the real question is, would you run another 6 drop with highmane existing?
Why u hav to be mad? is only card gaem.
why not just highmane?
Oh look, an Ooze which I can dust to craft Carnivorous Cube for my deathrattle hunter...

Great, Mech Wild hunter with some big Beasts and Nzoth

The vanilla version in a highmane with slightly worse stats
But Meat Wagon is something Blizzard really wants to push
1st: it's not a beast; 2nd: it costs 6 mana; 3rd: it doesn't have nozth synergy

I vote meta defining. With just one good deathrattle card revealed you can build a deck around them.
