That is, decks that have cheap minions early on to control the board. It really is a weird card that might create it's own type of deck.
In Warlock, it could be interesting. Twisting Nether is viable if you failed your zoo job, and now you have this card to buff the Twisting Nether. I like it, if it works, then we can have a novel kind of deck. Current zoolock isn't so fun to play with.
Why not "Summon a random minion from your deck with the same cost"? This eliminates RNG and encourages creative deckbuilding. Might be too restrictive, but I think getting rid of random minion summons like this is better.
I like the card, I'm just so tired of cards like Blade of C'Thun, Big-Time Racketeer, and Bomb Squad showing their ugly faces.
For play use the obvious deck is current zoo-warlock. Currently the only spell played is soul fire. Dropping soulfire and 2 other cards to play this and 2 copies of twisting nether or doom will give a crazy turn 6 (even from an empty board) that can be followed up by bonemare.
The downside is the twisting nethers are mostly dead cards.

Maybe the 5 manas spells? Give 3 damage summon 3 tokens and summon 1/1, 2/2 and 3/3...
Some sort of Token Paladin with 2x Spikeridged Steed, Dinosize, Lay on Hands, and maybe even the 5 mana double attack spell and this card could be broken.
Im going to say playable as to make it really good you generally want it to hit specific targets generally in the 7-10 mana range 9 being the best target spot. So it would take some thought to make sure the slow where your hitting spells on is giving you value so you want to make sure your always hitting those high value spells and can you survive without the other spells.
Blood reaver gul dan has shown that decks like Zoo can run 10 mana costed cards if the effekt is realy strong. Especially i think about midrange hunter, you put 2x Call of the wild in the deck add 2x this.
6 mana 4/4 summon a random 9 cost minion? Looks nuts op to me.
Yo, this is a midrange Paladin card. The deck already only runs 4 and 6 mana spells (coincidentally the best mana slots to summon random minions from outside the crazy 8 and 10), with 1-of high and low roll spells of Lay on Hands and Equality. The odds that this minion pulls out some dirty tempo/value are pretty high as a result, and you don't even need to sacrifice anything to make it happen. I think this bodes well for a more traditional list.

Good call, man :) I hope new paladin weapon will be some low cost one too, to fit midrange playstyle
More likely than not decent value, however mage runs some quite heavy spells and you don't see the 5/5 that creates a random 3 cost minion even being close to playable.

Eh, best mana for pulling randoms is 8, as shown by Atiesh. 6 is solid, but still has some absolutely awful lowrolls.

Why it is not using the recruit keyword for this card?
Perhaps in zoodecks.

you are right, misinterpret what does the card do

Woow good. *Heavy breathing
Unfortunately this looks strong.

Seems fine in Druid, at worst a 4/4 plus 2 drop but good chance of 5 or 10

If there is no equality, i think there is a place for keleseth :D
Another great card for Dragon Priest. Just cut out those ShadowWords and Powerwords. Add Free from Amber and a thought steal or two. Bam.

Excellent miracle rogue card!
