I don't really play wild, but that is a very good combo. If we are expanding into that meta, I would aim for Feugen and Stalegg to just swamp the enemy (p.s. after both feugen and stalegg die, any future deaths by either summons a thaddius).
With all of the new rogue releases, I'm stoked to pop this into Jade Rogue. With Journey Below, Cheat Death, Sonya, Zola, Cube, Umbra, Shadowstep, Shadowcaster, N'Zoth and Valeera, you can get an absurd number of Jade Swarmers going and overwhelm your opponent with golems.
One fun combo is to go... (over two turns or one with a Cheat Death used)
Jade Swarmer --> Spiritsinger Umbra --> Carnivorous Cube. This gives you Umbra, Cube, 3 Swarmers and 2 Jades. If they drop a single AOE to full clear you, you still have at least a 4/4, 5/5, 6/6 and two Swarmers left over.
I can't see any deck you could put this in that could consistently get use out of it. It's expensive, slow, and difficult to trigger its deathrattle due to its high health. Not to mention the strong possibility of it being countered by Silence or Spellbreaker, threatening to render this card worse than useless. I wouldn't use this card, since its risks outweigh its rewards, but I bet there will be some annoying meme decks centered around this card.
How will this card work with Spiritsinger Umbra on the board? Will the Cube have a deathrattle to trigger or will it be 'empty' at the time Umbra checks?

Life before death. Strength before weakness. Journey before destination.

Battlecryes trigger before the minion hits the board so the cube should get the full value deathrattle from umbra
Also, if you somehow bring one of the golden Voidlords back, they stay golden. This is handy if you want to know if a Voidlord came from the cube or not.
Anyway...yeah they were way off with their reviews. This "Cube" card will never see play. Although it doesn't seem to be as bad as that Creeper card O_o
That card is a candidate for a nerf to 6 mana. Many people predict it will be this card to get a nerf to tone down cubelock and whatever new OP cube decks spawn.

Yeah, but that would be too straightforward and pragmatic. Nerfs often come flying out of left field - remember poor Warsong Commander? Seeing more potential for a Doomguard HoF anyway.

I rather see Doomguard nerfed to 4/7 than rotated out alltogether, he's OP in wild too. Cube will probably become a problem elsewhere since he's neutral so he should be nerfed.
Something wrong with the dynamics of Carnivorous Cube that maybe Blizzard should look into.
So this is the scenario, I'm playing rogue class against warlock cube.
- At the end of Warlocks turn he killed his Golem with Carnivorous cube
- Warlock with hands full already because of my cold light oracle
- My deck has Sap, a card that returns the card on the hands of the opponent, which makes the card unplayable for that turn. I sapped Carnivorous Cube and expected it not to play its death rattle. Since it lifts up the card and cancels out its play.
- Sadly, the card burned (hands was full) BUT it played its death rattle.
What I understand is that SAP returns a card in the hand canceling out its play that turn returning it. It shouldn't have played the summon 2 copies.
But maybe I'm wrong, I don't know. But if I'm right please correct Sap's dynamics to other cards. If I was wrong then so be it.
Let Cube deck rule the meta Hahahaha :)

I think this card will go in jade n'zoth rogue................................. until the next expansion when nzoth is gone.
Im pretty sure this card will be meta defining for hunter paladin and priest.
Paladin Quest sucks..

For famous Jake #eggspansion
I see 2 viable options:
1. Hunter and Play Dead - coin and Leeroy, maybe Dinos or Highmane if they survived last turn.
2. Warlock and Shadowflame - eat your Doomguard (or other big demon), clear board with Cube and Shadowflame, ???, profit!
At least this card has 4 attack stat, either way this card could be useless against priest

I managed to make what I think to be a pretty good deathrattle Rogue for the new expansion using the Cube. Check my signature below.
Rarely seen played as I expected. In a long grinding game this card might shine but this is hearthstone, game sometimes decided by turn 4.
Community was wrong against.
I decided to answer a question I had and could not find an answer for:
If you have a GOLDEN Carnivorous Cube and you activate it on a normal card the creatures that come out ARE, indeed, GOLDEN.
So, if you play a golden Carnivorous Cube on a regular Voidlord then when the Carnivorous Cube has the Deathrattle activate you get 2 golden Voidlords.
Also, if you somehow bring one of the golden Voidlords back, they stay golden. This is handy if you want to know if a Voidlord came from the cube or not.
No real purpose other than kind of fun to track.
