I would assume this works like Barnes. If so, it could be pretty strong considering warriors run A LOT of spells and will naturally have a fair few late game minions, however there are some wiffs too. I guess a lot of people will naturally say EZ BIG EZ PRIEST or whatever, but that deck is tier 3, and the Barnes pull/servitude which is the only thing that makes it playable is consistent, and this will probably over 50% of the time hit something you don't want it to hit.
hmm "recruit a 2 cost minion" from your deck, that seems about right actually but then it's quite MEH if it costs 2, like why not just play that minion then?
if it works like a search mechanic then it's alright then since it's not highroll but something you build around, this specific card could potentially see play if big warrior is ever a thing but CW got screwed with the FWA nerf.
2 Cost minion would obviously attached to a body, so it's a 4 mana 4/3, It's a "draw and play a 2 cost minion from your deck", which is way better than "random 2 cost minion", because you can actually influence what you get and I doubt you'd play trash 2 drops in your deck.
Are you people even trying to proof-read your complaints? Shadow Essence is good, but "Summon an actual minion, rather than a 5/5 copy" is bad? The fuck?
If anything, this is a bad sign of an even more high-roll meta to come.
Edit : "It doesn't fit current warrior builds". Right, all those refined t1 warrior decks that dominate the meta.
Guys...doesn't appear good on the face of it, I admit. But very likely this will have synergy with something else in the set. Let's see some more reveals before we judge too much.

could see such card being a hunter card with "2 cost beast" really and the warrior one is like the vanilla of the mechanic like some other cards like the 3/3 life steal for priest or Verdant Longneck
hen blizzard releases a new mechanic they always have a simple card to showcase it.
Oh yeah, it's "doesn't fit in current warrior decks" bad, I forgot how shitty people are (including myself at times) at reviewing new cards.
Because Barnes is, at worst, a 4 mana 4/5 worth of stats.
This card can be a 6 mana 1/3 or 3/3 if you're playing a Control Warrior deck with Acolyte of Pain or Ghouls. Of course, you could choose to play without low mana cost minions, but I think this would be suicidal to play Control Warrior after Fiery War Axe nerf, without cards like Ravaging Ghoul, Acolyte of Pain or Armorsmith.
I just don't like RNG based mechanics - this reminds me of Big Priest, a deck, which wins by highrolling. And no offense, but decks like such make hs a joke, when talking about competitiveness.
So I really, really hope, that this mechanic will turn out to be for casual purposes only. If this has an impact on how decks will be build in the future, then ... Dunno how to finish the sentence. I just think, it;s really stupid how RNG has influenced deckbuilding in this game, how rolling the dices with the hope to get lucky and thus to "outplay" your opponent is more important than actually outplaying someone by making the right actions.
I'm not calling this mechanic OP yet. If we think about it warrior doesn't have any tutor cards like Shadow Visions, which can fetch him the spells and then to play itself like BIG Priest. But I am aware, that we are yet to see more of the Recruit cards, so I don't like how this is going.
Inb4 I haven't played Yu-Gi-Oh like some people did, but this kinda reminds me of some broken powercreeps - I don't know if I'm right with this assumption, but I'm talking about xyz and pendulum.
I think no one should judge this card at the moment. WIth the right early tools a deck that continuosly summons big guys for 6 mana (thanks to dead man's hand that shuffle infinitely this card and your big guys into the deck) could exist. Sure, with the cards we know right now this deck can't exist, but we only saw 1 warrior card from this expansion.

so its like a 6 mana barnes really so in my eyes bad 6 mana is a big cost
Yes, the card will obviously be extremely powerful, depends mostly on what new minions Warrior has access to.

Yeah, I also started hating it.

Not a very inspiring mechanic?
Wonder if some combo could be pulled off with Dead Man's Hand

Wow, there are really people here who think pulling out a RANDOM MINION from your deck is worth 6 mana? REALLY?
Heck, you don't even get the battlecry with this effect!
Not really good I think, because:
1. A lot of big minions have a strong battlecry
2. ''Big warrior'' isn't a thing, and certainly needs more cards in order to be good
3. In the decks I could see it be played in (tempo/control) it won't be consistent enough.
1/5 stars
Fuck cubelock
It says "pulls a minion", therefore I don't believe you will have to choose. Basically RnG-fiesta.
