It is not a salty topic, I don't think the card need nerf or HoF, I asking because I open a golden shadowstep and don't know if is better keeping for maybe full dust refund.
I honestly don't think shadowstep is problematic, maybe they just need to do something about keleseth. On the topic of rogue nerfs: Edwin is way overdue
It'll never really be a candidate for the hall of fame. You are putting a bad card/ dead draw in your deck for synergy purposes. There are other cards way more problematic.

There's already a discussion about that. At first I thought it is serious candidate for HoF but after some discussion and other people's arguments I changed my mind. There are way more serious candidates for HoF. You might still keep it because it could be nerfed at some point but I doubt that. If you really need 50 dust then dust it

I know that Blizzard hates Rogue, so that's why I've been holding a second copy of Edwin Van Cleef for months. At least I'll get 3200 dust when they destroy the card with a nerf.
Yah they're gonna nerf edwin, a card that has been around for years without being touched, that's been a staple favorite of rogue players.
Edwin shows up in a lot of varieties of rogue decks, they aren't going to nerf it because of the keseleth deck. That's like assuming Antonidas would get nerfed because of quest mage.
I make it a practice to keep all golden commons because they aren't worth enough to be worth dusting and you may actually use them. Golden rares I will collect until I have a target card I want and insufficient dust to craft it. Golden epics get the same treatment unless they are a great card and I don't have a non-golden play set. Golden legendaries that suck generally don't last very long, especially if it comes from a new set, as there's generally something better to craft.

While I agree that others are more problematic, Shadowstep is definitely limiting design space. I could see it being included in rotations just so that Blizzard doesnt have to worry about Keleseth - Shadowstep - Concede happening so damn often for over a year in standard.

Well true that can be a real problem sometimes. We'll just have to wait and see what Blizzard will do :3

Yeah you're right, they don't do that. Fiery War Axe has been around for years without being touched, that's been a staple favorite of Warrior Players.

War Axe and Innervate is a good comparison, comparing either of those cards to Edwin is idiotic.
War Axe and Innervate also weren't nerfed because of their respective decks in the meta. War axe is still played in pirate warrior, you know where war axe isn't played? Every other warrior.
Innervate nerf doesn't hold jade back by much at all, it actually hurts druid decks that want to gain tempo more than anything.
It is theoretically possible but given that the card is only op because of a neutral card that is run in many decks across the board, it seems likely that they will instead nerf the neutral card. And given that rogue has so many cards that are much better, even after having been nerfed in the past, I think that rogue if it receives a nerf to anything, won't receive a nerf to its most unique card.

Just fill your deck with one drops, that is creative deck design, right?

Put the entire Rogue class in HoF, IMO.

For what it's worth (which isn't much)....
Why would the nerf something that doesn`t need it. They won`t nerf shadowstep just for Keleseth.
SHort answer, no. Long answer, the general consensus on this issue is that there will be no change to shadowstep at all.
