will we see a potential rise in chillmaw with all the dragon decks rising, ive been experimenting a bit with it and he's actually not bad at all in reno mage and dragon priest, thoughts?
Sorry for posting after posting. I'd like to add that I totally agree - Bandersmosh won't see much play - just like other unreliable cards. Shu'ma despite being played in Quest Hunter is very weak and should be demoted.
All expected tiers in! It is a ongoing debate how quickly it is safe to put them into their permanent tiers. Feedback appreciated!
bandermosh and shuma tier 1-2 ?? is there something good about them that I don't know about ? Also why waxedred is tier 4-5 it is used in somedecks spreads like plague.
Shu’ma is being used in Quest Hunter decks which are doing well, no idea about Bandermosh though. I thought that would be one if the worst cards of the set.
Shu'ma is actually great in Quest Hunter, one of the few decks that currently are close to favourable against Shaman.
I agree that Murozond is actually turning better than expected. The value can be insane.
Flik is another great contender. It's the only thing that gets rid of Shaman's 4 8/8s without destroying your own board while ALSO developing, and in case the Shaman is playing Barista with Faceless Manipulator to get infinite Shudderocks, it's also the only other way to destroy them not only on board, but on hand and even deck as well. Also matches pretty accurately against Dragon's Pack, instantly killing the 5/6s and allowing you to push the damage.
Can also hilariously wreck Holy Wrath Paladin by getting the Shirvallah.
Bandersmosh is being carried to a very high winrate by being included in some Galakrond decks. Cards like that have usually been placed in tier 2 (tech cards in top decks.)
Murozond is unfortunately pretty awful. Most cards requiring help from your opponent to get value tend to be...
I will start adding the most common uses of the new cards, starting with Shu'ma and Bandersmosh
I get that Murozond is situational but it can prove to be a nice counter in a control deck. I’ve had some positive results with. I’d personally think 3 or 4 would suit it.
Looking at the expected tiers, it sucks that I pulled 2 of the least promising (Mindslayer Kaahrj and Ysera, Unleashed)
I really feel like Frizz Kindleroost is insane. Dropping on curve, she has solid stats and saving 2 mana per dragon opens up possibilities that weren't possible before.

Yes, but things might change! I will get on revising all the expected tiers now, maybe placing some if it seems clear enough.
The expected tiers have been updated, but no cards can be placed in Standard yet as the meta is far from stable following the nerfs. A number of decks are batteling to take over the top spot from Galakrond Shaman, which did indeed see a massive drop in winrate. In general, almost all non Shaman DoD legendaries benefitted greatly from the nerfs!
Kronx Dragonhoof is close to being placed in Tier 1 for being a staple in strong Galakrond decks for several classes.
Some updates. The nerfs were a lot more impactful than expected, especially considering how new and updated decks are currently proving themselves to be viable.
I went over the list and I'd like to make a few suggestions:
Corrupt the Waters is not performing very well ATM, and I'd move it down to Tier 3. Even in Shamanstone, Quest Shaman was noticeably inferior to its questless counterpart in Galakrond Shaman, and in the post-nerf meta the deck has all but disappeared.
Speaking of SoU era decks, Quest Druid has also taken a severe hit in playability. As a result, there are a lot of legendaries that are in Tier 2 which really belong lower (probably around Tier 3). That list would include Untapped Potential, Wardruid Loti, King Phaoris, Cenarius, Flobbidinous Floop, and Chef Nomi.
Archmage Vargoth can go back up to Tier 1. He sees play both in Quest Priest and Galakrond Shaman, two top-tier decks, and his winrate is very good.
Making Mummies is another Quest which is way too high; it belongs around Tier 4. The death of Control Warrior really did this card no favors.
Rogue is the most popular class in the game right now, and there are several rogue legendaries who should move up due to their successes in Highlander Rogue or Deathrattle Rogue. Anka, the Buried, Heistbaron Togwaggle, and Edwin VanCleef should move up to Tier 1. Tess Greymane should move up to Tier 2.
Zentimo and Electra Stormsurge should also move up to Tier 2. Galakrond Shaman is still an excellent deck even after the nerfs, and both of these cards have great synergy with it and sport fantastic winrates.
It feels weird for Reno the Relicologist to be two tiers higher than Luna's Pocket Galaxy, and I would move the Galaxy to Tier 2. Highlander Mage is a respectable archetype and pretty much all of them use it, so...
Similarly, it feels weird for there to be no SoU legendaries in Tier 5, and I think Hack the System and Raid the Sky Temple both qualify. They're both meme cards who do see a little bit of experimental play, but their winrates are just atrocious and have never been good, even with the support that DoD gave both of them.
The Storm Bringer doesn't belong anywhere near Tier 2, I would put it in Tier 4. I can't remember the last time I've seen Aggro Shaman use this card, and its playrate is very low.
Lastly, I would move Hakkar, the Soulflayer up to Tier 3. I remember that Doom-in-the-Tomb era Resurrect Priest used to use the Hakkar/Elysiana combination with great success, and with Quest Priest coming back, it seems like Hakkar can be used this way again.

That Murozond looks great and playable beacuse of his value.

Latest dod placement soon?
It doesn't really make sense to do much with nerfs incoming. We could do some guesswork, but I don't think that is what the readers want.

Ancharrr has been placed in tier 1 in Wild.
Other updates:
Zerek's Cloning Gallery Tier 4 to 2
King Phaoris Tier 1 to 2
Shirvallah, the Tiger Tier 3 to 2
Shudderwock Tier 1 to 2
Some descriptions were also outdated.

Deathwing Dragonlord should be moved to Tier 3 because of his usage in a Tempo Rogue deck which uses Necrium Apothecary to cheat him out early.

Kronx Dragonhoof To tier 1
Catrina Muerte Tier 3 to 2

Zul'jin Tier 1 to 2
Da Undatakah Tier 2 to 4

Thrall DK is tier 3 since evolve shaman has a pretty good wr and is played a little though it has been slightly nerfed through fleshshaper
Is there a rough ETA on when the DOD cards will be tiered? I've been holding onto my dust as best I can but I wanna spend spend spend!
The nerfs were very impactful, so it did not feel appropriate to place cards right afterwards. Recently there has also been some RL business for me.
In general, cards are placed 1-2 weeks after a major update with exceptions for clearcut powerhouses.
PS: 2 DoD legendaries are in tier 1 already if you can't wait...

That 1 gem change in Corrupted Elementalist didn't do much I think. Still great card.
Anka, the Buried still in trash. Would you be waiting for DoD classement to move it up to rank 2 or else?
