Thanks for your feedback! The latest updates were actually to move Dr. Boom up and Emperor Thaurissan down.
Dr. Boom was promoted because of extremely good performance in odd paladin and odd rogue. If those decks get weaker, he will be moved back to tier 2. His most recent global winrate is 63,75, though, so he seems to stay strong!
Emperor Thaurissan is played more, but is not seeing as much success. He is mostly used as an optional card in renolock, but has other uses in lower tier decks like mind blast priest and exodia mage. Aviana+Kun the Forgotten King have long been the main combo enablers in Wild, eventually pushing the ol' Emperor down.
Speaking of demotions, Sylvanas Windrunner is also demoted to Tier 2, as she is not doing as well in this meta.
Thank you for your answer. I'm still not really sold on the idea of Dr. Boom, even in odd-paladin, because he is simply too slow to be played. But maybe they need a lategame-answer, and for this he's pretty good.
But maybe it's also because i play in EU and the meta there and in other parts of the world might be different; at least i never saw him in odd-paladin at all. Still who knows.
And Sylvanas: i have already some bouts with her in Hunter with some crushing success for him; but yes, i'm not sure if this is good enough in wild right now; the meta is still far too unstable to predict what decks are good and what not. (and with priest getting absolute 0 improvement or another competitive wild-deck, not really in the mod to play this game)
I view Boomship as an alternative type of Varian, which ultimately didn't see much play. Imo Boomship will receive a similar fate outside of Mecha'Thun decks.
I mostly play Wild - given that the format isn't particularly competitive, and the various meta-reports which are posted for the format are quite incomplete, I find the play-rate & win-rate numbers the most compelling way to sort out Wild Tier lists for individual cards. Presumably, highly-played cards that have higher WRWP than the decks in which they are featured are best considered as Tier 1 Legendaries. Among the top ten, the only cards with lower WRWP than the decks in which they are played are The Lich King and Zilliax - the rest are likely the best candidates for Tier 1 inclusion.
As far as Dr. Boom goes - his play-rate has gone up from 3.8% prior to the expansion, to 5.2% a week after. He's currently the 23rd most-played Legendary in the format, though he has a fairly unimpressive WRWP 5% worse than the overall win-rates of the decks which include him (mostly Odd Paladin, Odd Rogue and various Mid-Range builds of Hunter.)
I'd also point out that the suggestion that "Reno Warlock is the only good Highlander deck" post-expansion isn't really supported by the numbers - both Reno Mage and Reno Priest have win-rates above 50%, as does Reno Hunter (I've personally played over 3,000 games with Reno Hunter, and the deck was popularized on ladder during the WW, mostly owing to DaneHS.) Among the non-Kabal classes, Shaman is the most popular Reno deck, with play-rates of 7%, mostly owing to infinite Renos off of Shudderwock chains - the deck has a win-rate of 49%.

It is a choice to make the list more about win- than playrates. The player population does not always play what wins for various reasons. The most recent examples were Shudderwock and Kingsbane which reached very high playrates, but sat around 45% winrate for a long time. The opposite is also true some times, like you can see in this thread: https://www.hearthpwn.com/forums/hearthstone-game-modes/standard-format/222223-whats-wrong-with-even-shaman. This is why the list does NOT reflect what you can expect to see on ladder, but rather what we think is the best crafts.
It is an interresting topic to bump up the highlander cards for their versatility. We will discuss it! They were demoted from tier 1 because of dropping winrates a while ago.
Such a joke, I've got 5 legos from the Boomsday, 3 of which are Dr. Morrigan, Harbinger Celestia and Zerek.
Sort of how my pay account went, but then again I usually end up getting all but a few on that account because of saved up dust.
However, my f2p account has been incredibly lucky the past two expansions. Genn, Baku and Hagatha were 3 of the 7 legendaries I received and this expansion I've added 6 including Flobbidinous Floop, Electra Stormsurge, Zerek (which I think is actually pretty decent; the deck recipe with it feels pretty good), Myra's Unstable Element (might be good?), The Soularium, and wonderful Whizbang.
I'm struggling a lot on what I should craft haha. I'm trying to climb past rank 5 (haven't had much time this month to play around yet). I already have Zilliax and Kangor's Endless Army, so I've got a decent mech package done already.
Part of me is also leaning towards Mecha'thun, but then I'm missing key elements to each of his decks. I'm missing Lord Godfrey for the warlock deck, Hemet, Jungle Hunter for priest, and (as mentioned earlier) Floop for the druid variant.
Another maaayyybe card I'm considering is Luna's Pocket Galaxy. I've had fun with big spell mage in the past, and this could help in other control matchups, though I'm not completely sold on it.
I have about 3200 dust. And I'm also sitting on a gold Whizbang just begging me to disenchant him lol. No other cards are really jumping out at me. I just need someone to make my decision for me! Haha. Half kidding. It's a real struggle though. I just don't want to regret anything.

Edit: wrong Hemet -.-
Unfortunately none of those crafts are going to help you too much climbing the ladder. The cookie cutter climbing decks are still Odd Paladin, Odd Rogue, Spell Hunter, Deathrattle hunter, Even shaman, Even Warlock, Zoo and some heavy druids, and neither of those need any new legendaries.
Otherwise, I would wait a bit and see how good Floopy Malygos druid and Mecha'thun decks really are. They are pretty expensive, and it is too early to say if they can compete with the decks above.
Thanks, that does help. I will probably go back to Deathrattle hunter as that got me to legend last season, and I don't think it changed tooo much since then (except maybe Flark's Boom-zooka or whatever, but I can do without). My preorder didn't get me a single Spider Bomb lol, but whatever, I'll man up and craft those at least.
Some time I just have to realize that if I really want to climb every month, the climb isn't meant to be fun lol. Just a grind. Then at legend I can resume playing more interesting combo or midrange decks.

Based on my own games, I'd say that the must-craft cards of Boomsday are the following:
Zilliax: amazing versatility, a must-have card in any mech-heavy deck, imo a safe tier 1 once the tiers are decided.
Whizbang the Wonderful: best way to test many popular decks, while the decks made by designers are often not as powerful as the meta decks, they usually serve as the barebones for the meta decks players build. This card itself is hard to put in a tier, since the decks it generates are not tier 1 themselves, however.
Other honorable mentions (probably tier 2 eventually) go to:
Kangor's Endless Army: Paladin can create massive mechs quickly, but a single large minion is easy to remove. This is a good way to keep the pressure going after your big mechs have been removed. In a way it's like DK Gul'dan's battlecry to get your demons back.
The Storm Bringer: In general really good, especially since you'll be using it on a bunch of 1-2 mana minions/totems. Sometimes I play it on almost dead minions right after trading with the opponent. It's a good way to regain the board and often disorients the opponent.
Flobbidinous Floop: A devious card that can enable several creative archetypes and play styles. It even makes Mechac'thun viable, which would otherwise be a meme.
Floop's Glorious Gloop: amazing synergy with board clears and very powerful vs agro decks. Most players don't use this card well, but I had one opponent completely destroy my Odd Paladin simply by playing this card at the right time in his Treeant Druid deck. The momentum he gained from this card alone was such that I could never catch up again. He basically played 2-3 turns worth of cards in a single turn.
Decent, but not amazing:
Dr. Boom, Mad Genius: Despite getting this as my freebie I have yet to play it myself, but have experienced playing against it multiple times. The card is interesting, but seems too inconsistent to make it into tier 1 decks. Other hero cards usually have enough power to turn the tide of battle, this one does not seem to. If you're already behind, this card won't help you to catch up.
Boommaster Flark: It's a decent card that's probably a must-craft for the Bomb-Face Hunter archetype Blizzard is pushing this expansion, problem is that so far I have not been impressed with this build compared to others. It seems to run out of gas too early and does not produce as much pressure as other agro decks. The deck does have potential but needs more deathrattle synergies.
Poor/Trash (IMO):
Myra Rotspring: usually discovers a pretty mediocre deathrattle in an already clunky Deathrattle Rogue deck. In standard Deathrattle Rogue isn't worth playing, and in wild you're better off replacing Myra with something like Sylvanas Windrunner anyway.
Should I craft Hagatha or aya for my even shaman (wild)
Aya hands down. She is amazing, and works in other decks as well. Hagatha doesn't really see play in Wild, there are too many other good cards for the archetype.
I've been seeing a resurgence of Thrall, Deathseer recently being run in decks that include The Storm Bringer. I'm assuming it's because it's such a minion heavy deck that it's better to upgrade a full board at turn 5 rather than risk waiting to play the spell and your opponent draws a board clear.
Pretty sure that this little bit of play isn't enough to see an upgrade, but the card is definitely seeing a bit more play.
Also I definitely agree that no card can really be called a Staple yet, but if I had to throw my hat into the ring on which will, i'll definitely say Zilliax. It sees play in so many decks and each of them flourish in their own ways. Probably one of, if not, the best legendaries they've put out this expansion.

Thx. Thrall, Deathseer is moved from tier 4 to 2, as he indeed sees a lot more play now.
Zilliax finally goes to tier 1, mainly for his versatility, being playable in a large number of decent decks for several classes.

Yeah, I'm pleasantly suprised at the new hybrid shaman that combines various archetype mechanics such as elementals, battlecries, and evolve. It's a blast to be able to play thrall on ladder, and end off with shudderwock to create a wide, buffed, and evolved board. No one saves removal for it.
I've been playing a lot of mechpala amd it shows a lot of promise, the legendary spell saved my ass so many times..
Also, discovering a second copy is an instawin (about 1/3 chance trhougt arcane dynamo)

I already have the solarium, crafted day 1 since it’s an obviously good card. Maybe I’ll wait another week before crafting another legendary.
I view Boomship as an alternative type of Varian, which ultimately didn't see much play. Imo Boomship will receive a similar fate outside of Mecha'Thun decks.
FWIW - one of the simplest ways to evaluate Wild Legendaries is to use the HSReplays filters to see the play-rates. There are currently five Legendaries with play-rates above 10% - Brann Bronzebeard is the most-played Legendary in the format, and Malfurion the Pestilent, The Lich King, Emperor Thaurissan and N'Zoth, the Corruptor also enjoy high play-rates. Kun the Forgotten King, Reno Jackson, Aviana, Zilliax, and Sylvanas Windrunner are all clustered around 8%, and round out the "top ten" list. All of the cards have very high "win-rates when played" - obviously, the combo Legendaries have the highest WRWP, but the rest of the Legendaries in the top ten range between a low of 53% (Zilliax) to a high of 62% (N'Zoth, the Corruptor).
