So I have a little over 4K dust and I’m wondering if: a) should I craft either gul’dan or jaina. I like both deck types involving these two or b) should I even bother since we now have year of the raven announced and a new expansion around the corner relatively soon. Thoughts?
I wouldn't wait, as it will still take over a month for the next expansion to release and both Gul'Dan and Jaina are good cards and will most likely still be good cards after the next expansion.
Which one of those? I don't know, that depends on what you like more. Personally, I'd go for Gul'Dan though.
It really depends on how many cards for that deck you already have if you do not want to spend too much dust. But if you're willing to spend it i'd say go for Gul'Dan for ladder climbing.
Agreed with what is stated above : Gul'Dan is better if you consider ladder climbing. Jaina is not as much played, and elemental mage decks are not that good.
As a reminder both won't leave standard before first 2019 expansion, so you still have time to use them.

I think GulDan is the safe craft right now. Mage is gonna lose several decent cards, that makes it more of a gamble i'd say. Mage is probably gonna get some decent cards, but you never know if it will end up good or not.
Warlock isn't losing much and therefor might end up still being a good class. Add to that the mere strength of GulDan who solo pulled warlock out of the dumpster it was in before his release and i'd say he'll be usefull for sure.
Is Raza worth crafting for a wild highlander deck, or is he completely dead?
I disenchanted mine and don't plan on crafting it again.
Currently highlander priest doesn't seem to perform in wild. Just checked HSReplay and its winrate has some 60% peeks, but has several below 40% days and is rarely played.
Firstly, well done on the list - it's comprehensive and informative, and serves as a good guide.
I would like to advocate moving Prince Valanar and Twig of the World Tree into tier 4. Twig is weaker than usual now due to premium weapon removal being a recurring feature in many decks. Valanar is also quite weak, having seen some play in koft, it is now outclassed by other options such as Fal'dorei Strider in miracle rogue. The effect is also weak comparatively and is especially bad with silence effects being commonplace.
Another point I was hoping to touch upon was rotating legendaries. N'Zoth, the Corruptor rotating does put him at a tier 2 craft for standard in my opinion, however I would also include Fandral Staghelm as a tier 2 craft, with the same qualifier of it being tier 1 wild. Continuing that line, can we modify the positions of the rotating cards, either ignoring rotation or taking it into consideration for each card?
I wonder if anyone would like to discuss DK Anduin, as he only rarely rears his head these days due to more tempo oriented priest decks becoming wide spread. He currently feels to me like a tier 2 craft (where incidentally I believe DK Jaina should be).

Thanks a lot. Posts like that are very important to keep the guide up to date. There are simply far too many cards out there to avoid easter eggs, don't be shy if you find one! Also interresting new uses are welcome!
The policy around the rotation needs to be discussed a bit, but in general classic cards are moved up when in doubt while cards with little time left in standard are moved down.

Gruul, Malchezaar, Darkness and Deck of wonders are safe to dust. Keep everything else. They might feel useless right now but I promise you that you're going to regret dusting them in the future.
gold Deck of Wonders - Extremely Highroll card, you can replace it. IMO dust it.
Dragon Soul - Priest will lose so many decks, Blizzard may support his miracle deck next month, so wait.
Confessor Paletress - In wild this card is extremely broken with Razapriest, even with the 1 mana Hero power.
Prophet Velen - Never Disenchant Classic Legendaries, never. ( Class legendaries )
Krul the Unshackled - If you hate wild then dust it, but as i said, wait until rotation, you may start play wild, i dusted so many cards last year and it was a total regret.
The Darkness - " Meh " Legendary disenchant him when u need the dust.
Feugen and Stalagg - One of Wild mode's best legendaries, dont disenchant them.
Prince Malchezaar - I disenchanted this card long time ago, i consider him as noobs trap, if u like him then you need to rethink about your deck building skills.
Gruul - Disenchant him when you need 400 dust, otherwise just leave him, because having a legendary is better than a 400 useless dust.
Arch-Thief Rafaam - i dont play him nor see him, disenchant him he is not either fun nor strong.
Disclaimer: I only play standard, so the only card I wouldn't consider DE'ing from that list is Velen (I'd keep Krul as well if his days weren't numbered).
2) Regarding Edwin - although he is a golden card, keep it. He is one of the few classic legendary cards, which thrive through the expansions and are used frequently.
1) Either disenchanting it and using the dust on an Ice Block, so that you will get a dust-refund and an extra card (like you suggested).
In other words: 1600 worth of dust card -> 400 -> HoF card -> 400 dust + an additional card (400 dust)
2) Or keeping it and hoping, that he will get nerfed one day? or he'll become super popular and staple in an aggro deck. (very unlikely) In other words: 1600 worth of dust card -> DE -> pure 1600 dust (crafting a legendary) or 1600 worth of dust card -> staple -> you spare yourself 400 d. for a craft
I would personally DE it and craft the Ice Block, because this is the most safe scenario. Not only that, but 1) Ice block is a solid card, you may want to play with it wild, 2) dunno 'bout you, but I'm not a fan of pirates. I don't keep aggro tools in my card collection. Anyway, it won't hurt, if you ask other people about their opinion.
I think that captain is a safe dust as you don't see pirates anymore since Patches nerf. You'll probably get another one over time, but the ice block HoF free gold thing is only gonna happen once.
Edwin should always be a good card to. You could DE it and possibly get another one from a pack, but the likeliness of that depends on the amount of legendaries you already have. If you already have a lot the odds are better then when you have few. So thats a gamble. Probably best to keep him.
I'd keep both, Southsea is a solid epic to just have around, besides the dust isn't going anywhere should you decide you need it in the future. Ice Block is rotating in about a month and 400 dust shouldn't be too hard to come by in order to craft before rotation. Edwin is a solid keep, just an amazing card that I would never consider dusting as golden. There may come a time where they decide to put Eddy in the Hall of Fame as well, so it's worth keeping for then.

The World Is Yours
We know NOTHING about the next expansion and it will drop in just a month.
At least wait until Friday or until the first batch of cards is revealed. Personally I wouldn't craft anything even if it is a good card like Gul'dan.

Deck of Wonders
Bladed Gauntlet
Prince Malchezaar
Gruul
i would DE this
Sunkeeper Tarim is the best paladin legendary
What MutuhPwn said... (I would maybe wait with Deck of Wonders though, as it's new)
Also, Dragon Soul seems to be underwhelming at the moment, but who knows, maybe it becomes useful with some new stuff.
Confessor Paletress, Prophet Velen and Krul the Unshackled are all useful and appear in some highlander decks.
Gruul, Malchezaar, Darkness and Deck of wonders are safe to dust. Keep everything else. They might feel useless right now but I promise you that you're going to regret dusting them in the future.
i recommend you to wait till rotation.

gold Bladed Gauntlet - Bad card IMO, dust it.

Arch-Thief Rafaam - i dont play him nor see him, disenchant him he is not either fun nor strong.
Sunkeeper Tarim : Tarim is paladin's best card, he dont have any condition, Insane board control, if u miss him disenchant : Deck of Wonders ( Golden ) - Gruul - Prince Malchezaar - Bladed Gauntlet ( Golden )
Advice: i used to dust Bad legendaries but i regret that decision a lot, because i disenchant without needing the dust for a worthy card.
Disclaimer: I only play standard, so the only card I wouldn't consider DE'ing from that list is Velen (I'd keep Krul as well if his days weren't numbered).
