Anyways, I have my deck buffed, but when I use Mimic Pod, the copied minion carries the base line stats, not the modified. I can reason the card text to be within that behavior, but can see it the other way to.
Its copying the card itself not the minion (if it is one). That is why faceless copies buffs (because it says copy that minion) and mimic pod does not (it copies the card from a database and not the card in its current condition).
Here's an official explanation of the different copying mechanics in game from a while ago, which should more or less give you a better idea of how things should work (should because sometimes hearthstone doesn't seem to be too consistent, but these rules are what they aim for).

Even if getting a non-buffed copy of the card isn't a bug, it's certainly counter-intuitive.
