Agree, still a very, very strong card. Making it 7 might have been a better change, but hard to tell with the Innervate nerf as well. I think we will still see Druid is powerful, just *slightly* less so.
I feel like this was the wrong nerf, but we'll see.
Idol and Infestation remain. An entire turn is a lot against aggro, especially if most of the prior turns were spent ramping, and now you can't innervate this. But still...
Can't decide if I'm happy or not. Yes it delays Jade Druid very slightly, but it's still a very strong card. I would have reduced it's health. I honestly don't know.......
This does nothing to address the issue at the heart of the card: This is a druid card that heavily counters zoo, historically one of druid's great weaknesses. Futzing with the cost won't remedy the fact that this card builds a board out of nowhere and gives a fantastic amount of stall/delay power. This change seems totally irrelevant to me, and I predict we'll continue to see 2-of plague in slower druid lists.
And how this is a nerf? Jade druid RAMPS HARD on first turns. So druid basicly dont play it on turn 5 now. Changing MANACOST is not nerf Spreading shit in any way. This card is still covers jade druid issue with aggro decks. Warleader and waraxe nerf make aggro mathups for druid even better. Jadestone is not just going on, but becoming even worse i guess. Time to craft exodia mage. Oh wait. Druid now can rid of innervate and tech dirty rat or eater. GG Blizzard. WP.
Okay, so if Jade just forbids Druid from getting good anti-aggro cards, why not just handle Jade instead of pigeonholing the whole class because of an arrogance-driven mistake?

Start of Year: Provoke the failure of 3 expansions, force nerfs on otherwise balanced cards, bring deckbuilding to an all-time low and get rotated one year earlier for being such a threat to the game's health. - Genn and Baku's historical entry on the White Book of Shit Design, shortly before retiring unpunished
Aggressive decks now have the time they need to finish off slow Druid decks before getting shut out, but not so much time that Druids cannot shut them out eventually if they play well.
Uncalled for I say. Yeah it wrecks certain aggro decks, but it's only a problem in specifically Jade Druid. Blizzard's statement that it's the most powerful card in Taunt Druid is straight up stupid, of course it's the most powerful card in a deck based entirely around using said card, that's like pointing out that Gadgetzan Auctioneer is the most powerful card in Miracle Rogue.
Since Jade is the problem, hit Jade, not Druid as a whole. Nerf Jade Idol, let control decks free up a slot by not having to run Geist, that will result in fewer Jade Druids on ladder and thus you will see this card less.

Spreading Plague will change in an upcoming patch:
It's still usable in some way.
HEY CHECK OUT MY DECKS:
Overload control Shaman
N'zoth Raza DK Priest
HANDBUFF AGGRO Paladin (my precious one)
HANDBUFF CONTROL Paladin (also my precious one)

Reducing the health makes more sense but I guess with the innervate nerf this card might be one turn too late against aggro.
i don't like that they nerfed the anti-aggro card, would have been much happier with a jade card nerf
Why not 6 mana and 1/3 minions?! So aggros can still have a chance

Fuckin' knew it =) dust here I come!
The cake is a lie.
I think a health change to 1/3 would have been fine. Will still see play if many swarm decks exist.
I see no change! The card is still ridiculous OP

why did they nerf this crappy spell? it was fine at 5 mana.
if anything UI should have been changed smh do they not care about our opinions

I saw this coming. The second they revealed this card, I just KNEW it would be the first Frozen Throne nerf.
The card is a lot weaker now than you might think .
A 1 mana increase is a lot !
And that isn't the only problem for this card . the thing is people are gonna play less aggro decks because
innervate nerf - destroys aggro druid .
Murloc nerf - makes murloc paly a lot weaker .
fiery war axe - removes warrior from the game .
So it won't even be much reason to play this card .
Aggressive decks now have the time they need to finish off slow Druid decks before getting shut out, but not so much time that Druids cannot shut them out eventually if they play well.
