hi guys today I noticed some thing it might be a bug! I was playing vs Druid and he was running a Jungle Giants deck and I was having Archbishop Benedictus in my hand so I waited him tell he finish the quest and play Barnabus the Stomper so I can steal his all cards with 0 mana but after I did that I got his cards with its original mana! so Archbishop Benedictus copied the original cards from his deck, not the actual cards in his deck which supposed to be a 0 mana cards!! so I think this might be a bug or that 0 mana cost was just an effect for the rest of Druid game and not actually affecting the cards in his deck when he completed the quest. what is your opinion?
Mana discounts for cards trigger when they're on your hand. If it was the other way you'd see they cost 0 in jousts. Basically reducing the cost of cards in your deck to 0 is the same as give your cards "when you draw this, set its cost to 0".
My opinion would be keep it as it is so that you're not inconsistent with other things like jousts.
well, if you play curious glimmer roots and arch bishop you have the chance of getting the quest, finishing it, and using the rest of their cards at 0 cost.
