What legendary should i craft from KOTFT? I'm f2p and don't plan on buying a lot of packs, plus the one legendary i got from the 10 card guarantee was Prince Valanar
I'm not partial to any class in particular, so i just wanted to know what legendary I would probably get the most mileage out of.
The basic rule of thumb is that you'll get far more mileage out of a Neutral Legendary than you will from a specific class Legendary; after all, you can use them in any deck. You can use them in any deck, after all. With that in mind, The Lich King or Arfus would be your best bet.
Beyond that, I am quite partial to DK Jaina and Thrall, plus Sindragosa and Moorabi.
Behold, foolish interlopers! I am commanding this mortal to spread the will of the Scourge throughout the interwebs, encouraging you to seek out me, Archlich Kel'Thuzad! Now coming to you as the tenth class of Hearthstone!
I am a finalist in this Class Creation Competition, so if you could give it a look I would be greatly appreciative <3
The Lich King would be my best bet. It's comparable to Ysera in that it has a similar effect by generating powerful cards each turn and has 16 total stats, however it also costs 1 mana less and has taunt, giving it immediate board presence that the opponent has to deal with. Beyond that, wait a little while for the good cards to become prominent, though a handful of the Death Knight cards appear to be pretty powerful from a first glance. I'm crafting a golden Frost Lich Jaina once it goes live in EU, as it's my favourite class and have Golden Jaina, but also because it seems pretty damn strong when paired with survival cards.
I think The Lich King is probably the first choice for a lot of people in a similar position. The Princes all seem to be tier 2 stuff but I'm there will be a deck at some point. And at least you are 1/3 of the way towards that deck.
Ysera may be a card that gets ditched in a lot of decks over The Lich King just for the effect and an added taunt minion which you don't get with Ysera. The deathknight cards all seem to be pretty game winning if you can get any of them to their full potential so that would be my suggestion.
Obviously we are all heavily reliant on a much slower meta for a bit....
Lich King. But honestly with a short collection is all situational. The question is what's your goal in Hearthstone? Is 100% fun, climbing or a mix of both? I give you an advice from my perspective: if you care about climbing just wait for the meta to stabilize (I know it's not an easy wait) then craft the best deck; what does this mean to relate to your question? Let's say you craft the Lich King that is objectively a great card, but your collection can't support to craft more than one deck that can well use the card, suddenly you just spent 1600 dust that doesn't give you the flexibility to build a wide range of decks.

for climbing, I disagree take advantage of the unstable meta and get your wins now. PW was working great today - if classic PW and aggro sham somehow become unplayable switch to tried and true midrange paladin (this is all wild mind you). Everyone thinks you can go controlly now - great time to mix it up with fast decks.
Overwhelmingly the response seems to be that The Lich King is best, so i'll probably end up crafting him. Plus i used to run Ysera all the time in my old decks, so i can't imagine he'd be all too different. Thanks much for the responses!

Yup this is another side. I was speaking long term.

Hey, I opened the Lich King and played him in a few games with a few different decks. He is a great minion for f2p players but he is not as good as he is hyped up to be. Most of the spells you get do not interact well with most decks unless you are very lucky and get a good spell. He is basically a new Ragnaros for standard and you will get more value out of the LichKing than any other legendary right now. He is not bad by any stretch, just not as good as you might think.

I recommend The Lich King ,Neutral and Strong!
