- Howlfiend will make Warlock Quest playable. You'll just put every discard card in your deck and don't care what you lose because the Quest is your win condition.
I had a question on this one. I would love for Questlock to become viable since I recently opened Lakkari Sacrifice, but can you complete your quest on your opponent's turn? Assuming you can, I think it would be dangerous to have Howlfiend still on the board, as your opponent could use it to try to make you discard your quest reward.
since that chakki stream everyone is saying bonemare is good. i think its garbage. also i think defile is bad even if control warlock becomes good, i think people are overlooking the clunkyness of the card. and skulking geist is not even a good counter to jade, i mean how many games really go to fatigue? not many.
Ticking abomination might be a viable card in an amara priest deck without n'zoth (aka, the one I run, because I'm poor), because it provides so much value while played early, and allows you to retake the board, which priest struggles with early on, particularly amara priest. It also curves well from devilsaur egg on turn 3, and most of the cheap deathrattles that this deck wants to run have stronger deathrattles than bodies anyway. It would be bad late game, but the early game boost could be enough to push it over the edge and make it competitive.
and skulking geist is not even a good counter to jade, i mean how many games really go to fatigue? not many.
Control vs aggro decks? None go to fatigue. Win or lose, those games tend to end around turn 6.
Control vs control? Almost every game goes to fatigue.
Control vs jade druid? Sometimes it would get to fatigue, sometimes the game would end sooner thanks to a good Auctioneer turn. With Skulking Geist, those Auctioneer turns will not be nearly as scary (no 1 mana huge threats, no 1 mana huge heals)... and in fact, Auctioneer will become a dead draw, because it will only hurl you closer to fatigue.
Skelemancer will be crazy good in some sort of paladin deck and any deck that can buff it or give it taunt. The only counter to this is transform removal and even that means it's a hex not going to tirion and therefore you are already getting tons of value. It's a freaken 8/8!!! Kind of weak vs aggro but very powerful vs control, just like cairne.
I think pirate warrior will take a hit if lifesteal minions pan out. Aggro decks won't be able to ignore the board as easily.
Bloodworm will be at least a one of in control, curator paladin. If it blocks four damage (and it should against aggro), then It's got a leg up on antique healbot.
I think Thrall, Deathseer would shine most in a control shaman list, and more controversially, I think it would be great in N'zoth shaman despite the obvious antisynergy.
I run 2 stonehill, doomsayers, 1 Manatide totem, Hallazeal, and Barnes in my N'zoth shaman list. Several of these cards are dead in the late game or in control v control matchups, and I think they have the potential to be great when evolved. Hallazeal is great to combo with elemental destruction, but often ends up dead the next turn due to his low health, and on turn 10 I have enough Mana to evolve him into something better. Barnes is always a great card with evolve, and now if he whiffs with a Nzoth I can evolve him into a giant. Similarly the introduction of the new giant means I can evolve Nzoth into snowfury with the hero power.
I currently run charged hammer in my list so that I won't have totems get in the way of my big Nzoth turn. Now I have a better hero power, and I think I have enough minions to get serious value off it.
None of the Deathknights will be in the meta by the time every deck is refined. The Druid hero is too slow, the mage hero is too slow, the paladin hero isn't as good as other control cards that you could put in your deck, the warlock hero isn't good in standard, the shaman hero won't be good enough and too often will be too clunky, hunter card is too slow, it isn't good in midrange, and control hunter will never work, warrior card is only good in a control deck but you can't afford to lose armor, rogue knight is 9 mana do nothing and the miracle rogue doesn't want to play the card, there's not enough support for a slow rogue deck, and finally, priest otk with the hero isn't going to be good enough and the Battlecry is too weak.
I don't know if this is an uncommon opinion but I honestly find this to be the most OP shit in the game if you have a board full of low attack minions. Mill them for 6 cards they are trying to keep in their hand? I don't see ANYBODY coming back from that.
Lilian Voss will act in a similar way to Elise Starseeker to give you some possible useful cards in the late game. Massively under-rated, won't see play if lots of aggro and will be replaced by Prince 4.
I think there is a deck possible where Skulking Geist will mostly act as a method to thin out your own deck as well as that of your opponent. Similar to hemet and can also be used to filter cards from Archbishop Benedictus.
Fair warning! Im not a really good player my highest rank was 5 with a curator token druid I hit it during ungoro (cant remember which season) but truth be told i never really pushed for it before or since.
I think a new midrange freeze/elemental mage will emerge and it will be if not powerful then at least annoying as fuck and some psychos will play it for the lulz
Hunter dk is very underrated. I have a (wild) control hunter list and truth be told it is not too powerful it is inconsistent. It is always lacking big finishig threaths (mayb that is mostly bcoz im f2p) or board control cards with this dk included u can craft some big juicy zombeasts for late game and have the rest of the deck filled with board control (mayb add in some late game threaths for added consistency). But i see the problem that every zombeast actually costs 2 more bcoz you have to craft it, this can be soved by a passive reactuve playstyle controlling the board and crafting zombeasts whenever you can, and after a while steamrolling with big lifestealing taunts and all thoose crasy posibilities
Warrior dk is overrated. The weapon is really good, but loosing the armor gain hurts really badly, "but what about midrange nerage warrior?" I hear you say. Well having a whirlwind effect at hand any time is pretty strong, but i rarely see a scenario where you need to whirlwind twice in two turns. Your minions are already enraged so your aim is to keep them as healthy as possible by weakening them you are graining advantage for your oponent. The three (mayb i missed 1 or 2) cards i think will be good whit this hero power are rotface (this one is the best hands down, but it can lowroll pretty badly) acolyte (but by turn 8 its a bit late to start drawing cards) and the new warrior rare (?) that gets +1/+1 per damaged minion (but it is "just" a big guy and silence will be a thing)
The lich king is overrated, there are just some death knight cards which are straight up bad lile army of the dead and doom pact (just loose u the fatigue game) also frostmourne deals a a lot of damage to you too and delayes its spawns by 3 turns
God help us against the (shadow)reaper
Memedictus will see a lot of play in a drawheavy fatiuge/mill priest
There will be a control quest rouge with dk and sherazin
Silence will be a thing
Everyone will shit themselves from the lich king so black knight will be a thing
Wild will be swarmed with exodia healadin also some demonlock and shadowreaper will be sprinkled in there so that ll be fun
And....webweawe is a playable card. Well...at least in a type of druid: the plauge lord druid! With the dk two webweawes and the new druid of the swarm you have 8 poison effects! Each will eat up a) a minion b) a single target spell c) an aoe spell add in some more poison effects (emperor cobra or maexxna for wild) and you got yourself a big ass annoying Mr.druidman who eats up your minions and spells and grains 3 armor per turn. But no probably 1/2 minions arent sricky enough...so some buffs are needed, also the new taunt support for druid helps theese fuckers eat up the minion of your choosing. I know this seems like a meme (it is right now) but i believe that with enough tinkering this could be a thing
Probably theese are all just plain wrong and ill be labeled disabeled by anyone who sees this but my hones uneducated guesses are theese.
love you hunter brothers <3

I feel like Necrotic Geist is being ignored by too many players. The card is absolutely nuts in board flooding decks.
I think Archbishop Bendictus might have a home in combination with Hemet, Jungle Hunter

A Treachery Howlfiend Defile small minion combo will appear be not very good and everyone will complain about it being overpowered
I think Deathstalker, Rexxar is one of the better DK cards and will see play.
Sunwalker and Blood Worms will be the default 5 and 6 drops outside of Paladin just for Corpse Taker
Lilian Voss will act in a similar way to Elise Starseeker to give you some possible useful cards in the late game. Massively under-rated, won't see play if lots of aggro and will be replaced by Prince 4.
I think Ice Fishing will create a nice defensive murloc package for control shaman.
Gnomeferatu is useless and won't see play outside of rank 18-20.
