I'm gonna be crazy blunt here. This last Epic should have been a Weapon. Hunter has half a dozen variants on this kind of removal, from Arcane Shot to Grievous Bite (released last set and has a cleave) while if I look up Weapons in the listing? We have two base, one rotated out (and pretty damn good) and a borderline halfway decent. Rogue and Warrior have gotten weapons this set, and pretty damn good ones too, along with synergy. Hunter getting no weapon love, and seems like it never will.
Blizz, if you want us to play slower, non-face decks, give us more minion/board control. Like a weapon that is good vs minions like Valeeras shiny new Shadowblade, that thing is made for trading. Why can't Hunter get a weapon, with, I dunno, Beast synergy? Or something that rewards us for killing minions. Not a oddly worded, pretty niche, we-have-half-a-dozen-of-these-things-already cards. I am disappoint for the last, final Hunter Epic of this set, while I was starting to feel optimistic.. -sighs- Next expac Blizz, throw us a shiny new Hunter Weapon to roll Need on.
Interesting. Hunter's Mark is cheaper and better to use your minion to remove an enemy, but this will kill a 2 or fewer HP minion without having to use one of your own.
At first glance I do like the versatility, but am not sure which Hunter deck this fits into, or what you'll replace it with.
Much ablidged for the backup aTouchofZen, and tiny_wolf? I'm already fearing that reality, especially if it's a almost-possibly-viable weapon like the flavourful Piranha Launcher. And now that it occurred to me, if they wanted to make a proper Toxic Arrow outta this card? How about; 3 mana; Deal 2 damage, Poisonous. I know, that's an OP, target-able Kill Shot, but it's more in line with what a arrow laced with poison would do. Plus, this wouldn't have been the first spell with a keyword. Priests got a Lifesteal AoE. Heck, with this expac, I fear I will see even more obnoxious Priest decks I will have board dominance and almost kill potential over before sighing deeply as he heals back to full while clearing my board.
Awful, it should have only granted poison if you target to a friendly minion, and without dealing damage! The fact that you can make an enemy minion poisonous with this makes it so clunky.
This could have made control Hunter viable. All it had to do is give poisonous first and then deal 2 damage. I guess they didn't want to give Hunter an Equality/Consec level combo but without it all these slow Hunter cards they made are worthless.
Know how sometimes the board doesn't allow you to do a good trade with sylvanas because of minions with too low attack/high health. Now you can damage your own Sylvanas beforehand and trade into a minion you didn't want to steal and couldn't kill otherwise. I think that's only way to fully utilize this card. Still a joke haha.
neither choice is strong by itself but the flexibility is good I guess when you don't have a minion hunter's mark is quite bad, this is like a strange mix between hunter's mark and arcane shot.
doesn't seem too good on paper.. I think this card will have better results than it being good on paper might be good in the end.
Combo this with the new "Make a friendly minion immune" card? 7 mana, 3 card hunter board clear! (wild pyro)
Or put it on an enemy card to make sure one of your powerful deathrattles goes off when you want it too.

Blizzard gives Hunter one weapon per year. So, you'll receive your new Piranha Launcher this winter.

This card is Sooo much worse than Hunter's Mark it actually hurts my brain.
...There is just no way that happens...
(It happens)
It is a mix of arcane shot and hunter's mark.
I am not a Mage player, just thought my avatar would go with my name.

Check out my homebrewn Paladin deck.
Absolute garbage. Unbelievable.

Why u hav to be mad? is only card gaem.
bloatbat, houndmaster, coin, play dead.
Meta solved.
It fits the Hunter's flavor: bad epic and legendary cards to keep decks low budget.
You're clearly supposed to use it on your own minions or something, but what the hell is with the 2 damage condition.
I mean, it turns an Abomination or an Unstable Ghoul into a board clear, right? But what in Standard would even be worth using this on??
That's an awesome and "smart" card!
