Savagery is 1 damage deal your attack in a class that can only temporarily get its attack up. Rogue is a class that, at least, can generate a weapon each turn. Plus you get the value of replaying the weapon if it has some kind of effect like the new 3/2 weapon, perditions blade. Also, since the card states that the weapon deals its attack it should also work with lifesteal (if the leeching poison was ever any good.) So it's really like a deal damage and add a new weapon to your hand versus savagery which is deal damage.
This card is so cool. I don't know if it will be played but it has awesome flavor and you can do a lot of stuff with it. If it was submitted of a Weekly card contest it would have won hands down.
It won't work because the damage dealt actually comes from the spell, not the weapon. I suppose the weapon will also lose poisonous once bounced back to your hand.

I made one very similar to this once (except the wording was different). It did not do well :P

The spell says "It (your weapon) deals damage" so I think you're wrong.

What happens to the daggers (hero power) though? Do they return as a 2 mana 1/2 weapon?
Yeah, that's what I figure will happen. This will be great in weapon decks though; it'll still be okay in decks that just run weapon buffs but it'll really shine in weapon-oriented decks.

The phrasing on the card is "it deals it's damage". This seems more in line with Betrayal which triggers poisonous. I think it'll murder the creature and bounce an unbuffed weapon into your hand.

Blade Flurry also says "it's damage" and it doesn't work.
Best rogue card.
Nature will rise against you!
sort of - it puts the weapon card back in your hand. So pay for it but you get the battlecry and the durability back.
Perfect card, hmm, perdition blade, come to me again after long time :D

does it count as a "deathrattle" trigger if you play this with Frostmourne? if so...
Turns out maybe all rogue needed for weapons was the ability to bounce its weapons

wonder if it somehow keeps the buffs, doubt it, it's also the first time we see the hero power of rogue, as a card.
Seems good. Rogue needed a way to get value out of weapons and it's costed very well. Easy to cycle with auctioneer. I like it.
The problem is of course, you want to throw a 3 attack weapon at minimum. Using it with your dagger is awful, and it's a dead card in the early game.
I can't say if it will see play or not.
I know other people might be frustrated with the expansion but I love the way it's pushing a midrange weapon style rogue. Many of the cards released (Leeching Poison, Doomerang, Phantom Freebooter, Runeforge Haunter and Shadowblade) fit extremely well into this archetype and have great synergy with old cards that rarely saw play anymore in rogue (Deadly Poison, Luckydo Buccaneer, Naga Corsair, Obsidian Shard and Captain Greenskin).
