Card is bad 2 mana deal 2 damage. Life steal is just way over valued by blizzard at this point. Any good Hearthstone player knows that board control is more important than life total.

Should have cost 1. Ok it has lifesteal, but it has a restriction: it can only damage a minion. Therefore the fact it has lifesteal is cancelled out (in my opinion) by the restriction. Best comparison is Holy Smite and Arcane Shot. It is a 1 cost deal 2 damage (no restriction or anything). The same thing with Arcane Blast. Again it deals 2 damage for 1 mana. It has a benefit (deals double damage with spell damage) but is again restricted to only targeting minions. Other examples are Lightning Bolt (benefit: 3 damage instead of 2, drawback: 1 mana overload)and Arcane Missiles (benefit 3 damage instead of 2, drawback 3 random targets). Backstab also deals 2 damage (benefit: it costs 0, restriction: must target an undamaged minion (so actually 2 restrictions).

dark bomb was also worse in comparison to other removal cards for 2 mana but it was still a very good card just because it is a warlock card
Besides that, the heal is tied to it's damage, meaning if you target a Divine Shield minion with it, you won't get healed were as Drain Life heals you even if you target a Divine Shield minion

Yes for 2 mana 3 damage you will need to add a benefit with a restriction similar to Quick Shot

Better than drain life that because it cost 2 mana but minion only condition is so bad for single target spells
As it turns out this card is quite good with Tainted Zealot and Happy Ghoul ^^
