Your post read as if you thought this was a Mage card. That was how I read your post too. So if that is not what you meant, there is where your confusion lies.
Not bad in wild in a slightly longer game aggro shaman? Totem Shamanx2, Feral Spirit x2, 477 x2, Crackle x2, Lightning Bolt x2, Lava Burst x2, Doomhammer x2... that's a lot of discounts (22!).
With this, I'm guessing we'll get a card that says "Freeze all minions". That's the only way I can really see this card working out in any capacity.
Mike Donais said we won't see mass freeze for shaman. They're sticking with good single-target freezes.
Frankly I'm excited for this card. I hope it'll play similar to handlock, which used many taunts for stall and crushes the opponent with enormous minions later in the game. This card could be the new Mountain Giant for this archetype, Frozen Crusher could be Molten. The freezes would be analogous to the taunts used for stall in handlock.
Or maybe I'm mischaracterizing Handlock, I'll admit I was really only there for the end of the handlock era.
Mountain Giant was effective in Handlock because you could get it on the board relatively early. I don't think Shaman has enough freeze effects to get this out before the late game, though, which means it's just a low cost big body with no board effect late in the game.
I like freeze Shaman conceptually, but I don't think this card is necessarily all that valuable. Though I suppose it could have some nice synergy with Cryostasis...
At last, the fabled 11-cost minion. Considering half of the 10 mana minions in standard have stats lower than 8/8, this is a fine upgrade.
Addressing the card itself, it's fantastic. It's the payoff for Overload effects that's been a long time coming. It also works great with Moorabi: you play this, play Moorabi, then a cheap freeze or Cyrostasis to get another one.
Since we know every class gets at least one Lifesteal card, that means the last Shaman card has something to do with Lifesteal. Can't wait.
Overload shaman...while it doesn't have overload by itself, overload may be too much of a drawback for it to see play in standard. Maybe in wild though.
this may be a decent pick in arena where you just have to pick at least 1 or 2 overload cards for this to be at least playable

Turns out it was actually based on overload, not freeze. I still think this could see play in freeze shaman if you played two elemental destructions, but in standard control shaman I don't think it's good enough. It's a bit of a bummer, the Moorabi synergy would've been nice.
Of course you're probably right about the card when we thought it was based on freezing minions, it might've been too slow. Though maybe it could have been combo'd like with molten, which in hindsight was a better comparison, though frozen crusher isn't nearly as fast as Mountain.
I was hyped for the freeze. To bad it's overload. Freeze would be fine with another spell or minion for shaman to be able to freeze to make that work but yeah nvm that...
Just seems like a significantly weaker arcane giant to me. Maybe it will see play in Wild shaman because of more overload synergy. But right now it seems to me a realistic best case scenario for this card is maybe a 6 mana 8/8 which is too fair to be worth running. If Sea Giant cant see play in current shaman lists I really dont think this card can.

It still synergizes with Moorabi, though. You can discount it to zero or close to zero, then play Moorabi > this > a freeze card or two.
Will evolve actually work? I'd think so but would like cobfirmation
Lol what kind of confirmation do you need on that? There are 12 mana cards and 10 mana cards. This one is 11 mana. 11 is one less than 12 and one more than 10.
That actually can make a difference if the giant has been given taunt or some other buff. Devolve will at least silence it now instead of just wiffing.
The minion itself isn't anything special. The only news here is that we finally have an 11-cost minion for evolve type effects.
Other giants or 10 drops having guaranteed this giant as the effect, sigh.. Not that it matters that much though. Maybe when shaman is facing Rogue with giants.
I am just worried Shaman once again is STACKED with synergies and possibilities. Elementals, Jades (now with Elemental tag, Synergyception), Freeze, more huge taunts (plus freeze on taunts which is a first), Evolve plus double Evolve on the most single cheapest DK of them all. He costs HALF of other DK's and the effect is undisputably destroying. Shamen can easily refill a board and end a game with 6 or 7 mana (wink to nerfed I end the game now Druid) or nullify the best minions from any class for 3 mana. I mean, what kind of numbers crunshing are they doing at the office.. We have to be thankful they didn't print a second Tunnel Trogg I guess even though patches plus Flametongue isn't far off of that. I feel it will be ShamanStone once again for a very long time.
This is simply 10>11 evolve 12>11 devolve material. Sorta meme.
Correct version
If you can cheat it out, it is broken.

OH FUCK. Nevermind, now that we see it's an overload synergy card and not freeze this is actually pretty good.
I'm here to kick ass and play cards, and I'm all out of ass.

now u can devolve Arcane Giant into Snowfury Giant kappa!
Not bad, you're bound to overload a few times.
But why make it cost 11? Seems unplayable if you get it by random in a brawl or something.
