This card has more chance to see play in warlock than priest imo.
Wait...what? Do you think the is because warlock has a greater tendency to want to tempo out the board? I mean, that makes sense, however it's not that easy for lock to heal itself. I mean, drain life synergy I guess?
Em Earthen Ring Farseer, Mistress Of Mixtures, Siphon Soul. And just the fact warlock is damaged all the time, while priest not really and has no way to deal damage to himself.
Keep in mind, as the meta develops, players can start to play around this card by holding out on damaging face until later turns, and their board is already built. Priest is one of the few classes that does not have natural access to damaging its own face.

Nice Strategy, dont go face as aggro just in case your opponent has ghoul in his hand so he cant heal himself, ...did you ever reach rank 20 ?
Play around ? its only a 3/3 wich is only +1 Stat over the normal 2 Mana Value (2/3) and the cardtext doesnt say "Kill everything in the hole world when you play this"

The only class to be considered not to dmg face is warrior. In case Pirate Warrior could lethal with less than 12 health or back in the Patron times where you could consider not attack face on turn 1 or 2, and then after Warrior gained shield it prevented 1 (or several) draw from Battle Rage because the Hero was still on full health.
Regarding Happy Ghoul I can't see a very good deck with it. I don't see it as an early thread where you might want to heal minions with Cleric on board. But yeah, healing "could" have more depth to it and maybe even bring Lightwarden back. I guess Ghoul and Warden just are killed too easy. And I don't know if I want to have Ghoul in deck instead of other cards. As a generated card this would be awesome. I don't see a consistent way to get it though.
I rather see it in Paladin with the new healing tools. Healing face, damaging another minion with the 3/9 stated minion and play a 3/3 at the same time sounds more powerful.

This card is too slow and will most likely not see play. Blizzard are going the slow way yet again with this card. We need impact and value on the very turn we play the card - that's to say we need direct damage upon play.
You win the game by getting your opponent to 0 health, not by going all out fatigue, master chess style.
Too slow for what? For Priest facing quite much aggro it is very fast and OP and will definitely help early game.
Only viable thing against aggro when using this, the way i see it, is to drop two of those on T2 after heal hero power, or smash the mistress of mixture you dropped on T1. Which is gonna happen once in 20 games, and doesn't the stop the opponent smacking your face.

Well ... here it is and it's quite simple - Let's say you are getting your face caved in on turn 2 by these so-called "aggro" decks, yeah? With this slow as a snail card you'll need to heal and put out a minion that does nothing by itself. Next turn, your opponent plays another minion and you're going deeper and deeper. You can trade with this ghoul thing but the dude already has three things on the board and is hammering you in.
Now ... in a scenario where Blizzard are not actually trying to turn this game into a chess mach, they would print a card that does either good direct damage or has charge or is pressing tempo hard. That way you can do two things: a) do what the game is supposed to be and try to turn that 30hp into 0 by going the right place or ... b) for whatever reason spend 20+ minutes in a game and establish board control by using the direct damage, burn, or whatever to kill the aggro deck's early minions on the turn you actually play the damn minion.
So your ideal deck would be full of frostbolts and elven archers or something lol? This is honestly one of the stupidest things I've ever read pls write me back an angry response I'd love to see it.

Nah, no need for angry responses, let's be civil instead. No need for frostbolts and elven archers either. Here is an example of what I'm talking about, yeah?
Let's say you're getting your shinebox handed to you in the early game, yeah? What would you prefer - a passive card that does nothing, or say an argent horserider that has charge and can clear the damn board for you? Let's say you are getting your shinebox handed to you by quantity of minions, yeah? Would you prefer a passive card that does nothing or a card that does damage as a battle cry? Let's say you are getting your shinebox handed to you by quality minions, like was the case with mech mage, yeah? Would you prefer a passive minion or a tempo play that will make sure to go over the other dude's head?
You see where I'm going with this? Zoo's been doing this for a long ass time, yeah? Cheap ass minions - lots of cheap ass minions. So zoo is able to do one of two things - Race the Face or push and keep the board. How though? Not through this damn ghoul thing, that's for sure.
First I want to make clear I agree with the ghoul sentiment.
But Zoo sucks butt right now. It can't keep up with the board pressure from token druid or evolve shaman. More over, when those decks are laying down beefy taunts it becomes difficult to even get to the minions you really want to kill. Also, weapons are really hurting zoo in comparison to other aggressive decks. Basically other aggressive decks are better at creating board presence, more efficient at buffing their minions and have harder to deal with sources of damage (weapons). Shaman even runs some minor clears that wreaks havoc on small zoo boards.
That being said lock got some good tools. Defile is pretty spectacular. It may not be a zoo tool, but honestly cards like this are going to be necessary to combat the crazy early game.
While I don't think ghoul is the answer, not by a long shot, I don't think zoo is a good example for the point you are making considering the state zoo is in.
I've played Dread Corsair in Paladin because of Truesilver. Truesilver also activates this, but Dread Corsair has Taunt. Perhaps in a strange pally deck you play Both Dread Corsair and this?
I guess turn 4 Truesilver double Dread Corsair double Happy Ghoul would be useful in an aggro pally deck.
Could give priest some tempo, but will probably be less good in control matcuhps. Cool card.
Tun 1: flame imp
Turn 2: coin + earthen ring farseer + happy ghoul
Profit?
Card is great for Priest
Artwork & Name are terrible and ugly as hell
You can play ist turn 5 with Raza, Holy Nova, fiest of the priest + PWS + 3/3 for free, even turn 4 with greater Healingpotion,
Turn 2, trade Mistress of Mixtures, play Ghoul for free, coin out Talonpriest, 3/6 + 3/4
Keep in mind, as the meta develops, players can start to play around this card by holding out on damaging face until later turns, and their board is already built. Priest is one of the few classes that does not have natural access to damaging its own face.
Jaraxxus: "I WILL FEAST ON YOUR SOUL, THIS WINTERVEIL!!"
Medivh: "Happy feasting, Champion!"
Lets see how aggro will exploit it.
My magic will tear you apart!
Minion tempo priest is gonna be a thing
Seems like an auto include in basically any priest deck ever. Excepting maybe aggro priest. Maybe. Possibly.
Seems fair and fun. Not OP I guess.

I like to make cards and discuss game balance.
I enjoy when "No similar decks were found."

This card is absolutely ridiculous in Warlock right now. My favorite card in my Bloodreaver Warlock.
