I figured they wouldn't print Glacial Mysteries without realizing Mages don't have secrets that generate value in the late game. A staple in those decks for sure. Just like with Mirror Entity, you need to play this later in the game to make it harder to give you dud cards. A fine secret.
If your opponent plays Snowflipper Penguin you've probably already won. But hey, at least you'd have two 1/1's and spare mana to ping their penguin. ;-)
A combination of Mirror image and mana bind. The first being very easy to counter, and the second having no extremely negative immediate externalities for you opponent. Chances are, this card would have an affect similar to the combination of the 2 and would just be good. 6.5/10
Wont see play for the same reason Potion of Polymorph didn't see play: Same trigger as Mirror Entity. And everyone plays around mirror entity.
However, playing around this card doesnt work as well. To play around Mirror Entity, you simply had to play a minion with low onboard stats. With this secret, if you are playing around mirror with say, Swashburglar, the opponent actually gets really good value.
I don't understand why people said it's OP it just another mirror entity Every one in rank 15+ can play around it. only different is make your opponent play around harder if they wanna play some powerful battlecry
We've already had Mirror entity and potion of polymorph...who the hell plays anything into a secret above a 2drop these days unless they are desperate? Blizzard really need to come up with new activation mechanics for these kind of cards, way too easy to play around to be any good. And it's nothing like as good as duplicate, or even effigy, which were easy to set up.
to be honest. It's good with glyph. You just play it late game when their only option is to be aggressive with big drops and suddenly you've got 2 n'zoth in your hand or something like that.
This card is quite a swing card. It can be very bad - you can copy two Snowflipper Penguins. And it can be very good - you can copy Amara, Warden of Hope and gain a pleasant 80 health. In general, if you're looking to disrupt your opponent's turn and perhaps gain a bit of nefarious value, Mirror Entity is the better card. That's because it puts a body directly onto the board, disrupting the opponent's turn and saving you the mana cost of whatever the card is. But I'm sure everyone looking at this card already thought of that.
So, what sort of Mage deck would ever run this card? Perhaps a variant of the secret Mage they're attempting to push with Glacial Mysteries would. One of the most frustrating part about clearing the Paladin tree has always been Mr. Get Down, not because he kills something, but because he disrupts the opponent's first attack, forcing them to waste mana. Running one Frost Clone in a deck like that would force the opponent to play a bad minion first. Combine this effect with Mirror Entity's and you've got a cheap board fill to play the following turn while you're opponent is still struggling to clear the Secrets.
Consider, also, that we may be in a Control meta. If most decks have a specific win condition card, what better way to win a control game than stealing TWO of that win condition card and playing it yourself? I could see that being a worthy investment. But we'll see. In any case, I'm definitely slipping this in my Rando-mage for a hellish ton of fun, so I'm excited!
This card is not playble, you pay 3 mana do nothing. If your oponnet plays around it, you got two trash that does not have enough impact. In a control match up if you get a really good minion, you have to deal with the minion that is on borad, and play the minions in your hand after that, if you have time for it.
Playable secret. Not very good, not very bad.
OH SHIT! YOU MEAN I CAN GET TWO Snowflipper Penguin FROM THIS? HOT DAMN!
I'm here to kick ass and play cards, and I'm all out of ass.
Very Good card
It won't come on early stages don't worry.

woopty fucking doo! ANOTHER OP CARD FOR MAGE!

Even the worst minion your opponent can give you is still a minion they put in their deck on purpose so it can't be that bad!
I think this is VERY strong
Just my 2 cents
Easy AF to play around.
But fuck Mages.

Blizzard's version of the old saying "A bird in the hand is worth two in the bush":
"Two copies in the hand are worth one on the board".

My magic will tear you apart!
3 mana draw two 1-drops
Anger is the punishment we give ourselves for someone else's mistake.
At WORST, it's arcane intellect into two 1-drops. This is a very good card!!
