Comparing this to eater of secrets is stupid. It only effects what's in play. This card wipes your opponents hand and deck of a particular card. Not the same thing, please shut up with that comparison.
It doesn't even matter if this card will see play, as the OP was saying, just the fact that it exists kills deck design. Eater of secrets didn't see too much play until recently but just because it existed secret paladin died. The only reason Secret mage isn't hurt the same way is because the deck isn't 100% reliant on it's secrets. So back to this card. Say in the future Blizzard prints nice 1 mana spells. They might see play for a week or 2 tops and then they'll disappear from the meta because this card exists. That's the point here
Side note Druids have next to no removal and this card also kills that too. I hope one of the remaining cards is some sort of a removal tool.

Secret paladin died because it lost its (arguably) best secret: Avenge; and its powerful curve in Shielded Minibot, Muster for Battle, Piloted Shredder and Sludge Belcher. Eater of Secrets being in the game doesn't stop people from playing variants of the deck in wild, even though running it as a tech card is much more common now than when it first came out.
This bad card only kills 1 mana win condition decks that make up a decent chunk of the meta that is all.
No one is running this crap as a two of that's for sure and the only way your going to want to run this is if a decent enough chunk of the meta uses one mana cards as a win condition.
Other than jade and evolve no other decks need one mana cards to win that make up more than a tiny sliver of the meta.
Also eater of secrets didn't kill secret paladin I see plenty of it in wild.
it will be run in control decks looking to specifically counter jade druid or combo decks that don't use 1 mana spells for their combos to thin their decks while running cheap 1 mana spells for that (looking at rogue mainly) also works well on warriors who might run whirlwind since that card loses value late game.
it's not auto include don't write off1 mana spells thats very dumb..
eater of secrets was voted as "meta defining" lol
as long as jade druid is popular people will run this card in control decks having trouble with jades (tech) once jade druid falls off the meta the card won't be played outside of those specific combo decks or tempo decks
we saw how good it was to thin your deck with mysterious challenger back in tgt.

Can anyone tell me, how to beat jade as warrior without shieldslam?^^
Some classes dont deserve to win against jadedruid.
Sry but :'D (isnt it the whole "ihatejadedruidthingie"? jade can!xD go infinity)
But all of this doesnt matter, this card design is bad^10. I really hate destroying cards from your opponents deck. dr3amb3ing i really feel for you.
Blizzard pls nerf jadeidol or gadgetzan auctioneer. But dont do this :'(

I'm just gonna run it as a Hemet Mage-esque deck thinner. Now I can use it immediately and not worry about erasing my AI, Ice Blocks and Frostbolts.
