Yes, exactly. You will just find a few Control decks running it, and most of the times they will be busy playing something more vital to their gameplay.
I currently only see 3 classes running this card. Mage, warrior and priest. All control variants and the second jade druid falls out of popularity, they will cut this card. People need to stop acting like its an auto include. Not everyone had trouble killing jade druid and those decks will not even bother with this crap.
All I'm saying is that they killed any future 1 mana spell that works in the late game by making Skulking Geist a card. That just seems backwards. You introduce a counter when something becomes an issue, you don't create a counter that also prevents the ability to design a particular card in the future

That's not what I'm saying, I'm saying why put a limit on what cards you're able to design at a given time? Solve the issue of Jade Druid by countering what makes it oppressive specifically, not limit design space

That's blizzard for you. Like warsong commander, they totally destroyed one archtype, and like it's not enough they kinda killed an spell type as well. But it's community's fault. They whined so damn much for a bloody archtype that it's a tier 3 blizzard didn't change jade idol problem, they compeletly destroyed the card. Oh and also this hurts Evolve decks as well so shaman will be lie warlock next exp., i didn't even talked about maly rogues in wild

Again, my point is not about reactionary counter prints. It's about limiting design space. Why not solve the issue of Jade Druid by designing a counter for the specific card that makes it oppressive?
Some archetype will be "killed" by this card, but for all the other spells that cost 1 everybody is crying like the opponent will run THAT card will automatically delete all their chance of winning. Not considering that 1-mana spells can be played before the new card or that the opponent may never draw it in the first place.

At what point did I complain about Jade Druid? What I'm saying is that this card limits the ability to release any sort of 1 mana spell that works well in the late game until 2 standard cycles occurs. If Jade Druid is so oppressive, why not make a counter to the specific card in that deck that makes it oppressive? Why limit your design space, for a year and a half. That's the point

Okay but how much value do you want out of a 1 mana spell? It's been said time and time again, if you have 1 mana, you shouldn't get insane value (a la Jade Idol or Small-Time Buccaneer ). No one would care if Jade Idol was 5 mana. The issue lies with blizzard giving insane value for low cost cards. 1 mana spells shouldn't make a such a big impact that losing it would be detrimental to your match. Think about if you lost an Arcane Missiles from hand - would you be that mad? not really, because what's 3 pings for 1 mana? Geist will not be overpowered, I think people are just terrified of it.

I would say that less than 20% of all decks will run Skulking Geist.
People are really freaking out about this card...

Eater of Secrets doesn't destroy all secrets from the deck and hand.
I really wanted to run Iron Hide, but shoot... this card has put a stop to my dreams.
