I am afraid to analyze this card. Everyone thought Xaril sucked. But he was pretty good. Everyone though Sherazin sucked (myself included) and he is pretty awesome. I guess I will leave this one at we'll see.
I still don't for the life of me know why people thought Sherazin would suck.
Lilian Voss? Really? isn't a ripoff from Magic the Gathering?
They are just similar sounding names. The only thing would be that are undead related (actually liliana is not undead I think) but the looks are different as well as what they do, intentions, etc.
Well, given how the other classes have shown that the Legendary and Death Knight are supported by about half of their respective classes each, or slot into existing decks, we should expect to see Weapon synergy with the Rogue DK (to fit with Leeching Poison, Haunter, and Shadowblade) and some more Token-Spell generation to support Lilian or some more Burgle stuff (though I'd prefer the former).

The problem is cost 4, rogue need much more the defense/healing from prince than more random class cards, I will use the prince.
Wait, seriously? Prince is awful. Even in Rogue.
Prince is awful in all other classes, in rogue maybe, MAYBE not, because the complete lack of decent neutral healing.
Mistress of Mixtures seems better to me. It's almost guaranteed to heal you (silences and devolves aside) and it only costs 1 mana, which enables your combo cards easily. Prince can get removed by other means.
You need healing vs token decks and pirates, vs pirates and shamans mistress don't heal you, it is destroyed before the damage in your face and if you play after the first turn the 2/2 body is irrelevant, the prince gain life twice for you, taking the axe hit and 4 heal, vs shaman you have a better chance to get a good 3 mana minion than 0 mana minion from devolve, in other matchs both are irrelevant but rogue is not so helpless vs them.
I think this is legitimately good card. Aside from the obvious synergy with various Burgle style cards, Ethereal Peddler and Razorpetals, the ability is simply good in general because it is very possible to get stuck with hand full of Preparation, Counterfeit Coin, Backstab and Fan of Knives when you can't find Gadgetzan Auctioneer in a reasonable time frame. We have all been there and you know you would trade those worthless cards for literally anything else. Lilian even clocks in with a rock solid statline and at manacost where rogues have almost nothing anyways.
It's playable if you run a deck built around making token spells (potions, pedals, thieving) and then you turn them into something hopefully better, and then run that card that discounts cards from other classes. Outside of that I would not run this card at all.
This is the best Legendary yet for thief Rogue decks, I'm glad they don't make something to buff Miracle style since Gadgetzan will be sent to Wild sooner or later anyways "it is known"
I like Lillian Voss from warcraft lore, not a huge fan of this card though. Obviously rogue can generate a lot of spells that they can just turn into your opponents class spells. The problem I have with that though is currently the base rogue kit makes a crap ton of use of those coins and razorpetals because they are cheap. A new deck would have to be constructed around this and then you still have to pray to RNG. This doesn't currently belong in any rogue decks, we we'll have to see if something new pops up. The only other potential use for it is to drop it when you have a bunch of cheap spells you can do jack all with, even then though you spend four mana to drop her and unless you are in the late turns that doesn't give you a whole lot of mana to cast something to come back with IF you get a card that would allow for a come back.
I will say this if you can hit three generated spells (coins or razorpetals) it's kinda like a 4 mana thoughtsteal with a 4/5 body attached. Obviously it takes the cards from the class and not the deck so it's actually a bit worse than a thoughtsteal but you do get a 4/5 body, it's not bad in that case. Just that, that case isn't going to present itself often enough.
I wonder how many people posting in this thread have tried the thief rogue architype lately. It is really close to being viable. In fact I would be shocked if a Thief/Pirate midrange rogue is not at least on the Tier lists after this expansion. The deck wouldn't play this on curve, it would play it in the control matchups to get a re-roll on some of it's situational cards and the dead burgled spells. There is definitely a deck here. The Phantom Freebooter fits well in this deck as well as the 0 mana 3/3 weapon creates a solid 4 mana 6/6 equip a 3/3 weapon.
Makes me wonder why in the 7 bloody hells does Xaril have 3/2 statline..
So that it can die? If Xaril was a 4/5 it would actually be somewhat difficult to make it die. Just look at Cairne! It will sometimes stick on the board for two or three turns, when you really want it to die to get deathrattle value. I do think it could do with maybe having a 4/3 statline, but then it would be played in every Rogue deck. Xaril is designed to be played in decks that want to get some cheap spells with good effects and don't mind sacrificing some stats for that.
Ethereal Peddler. Heavily discounted random spell on average better than a typical rogue spell (which tend to be numerous and efficient but individually low impact)

Here we go again another rogue legendary that people are already calling garbage and writing off and every time the rogue legendarys end up being very good .
Never learn , heartpwn never learn .
I just love how this is the first rogue legendary that people can't complain the stats are bad on
Is it just me or have the class legendary minions across the board so far been pretty lackluster. I'd say that Hadronox has the most potential but I'm not even sure that is good enough to see play.
In a nutshell, I don't see Lilian Voss seeing play. Her only value is turning coins into real spells. But, turning actual rogue spells into random ones is bad. So the question is, is turning coins into random spells good enough to see play? I personally don't think so.
1) Why would you want to replace spells you put in your deck ON PURPOSE for random spells that will likely be less compatible with your deck from another class? I put spells in my deck for a reason....to use them not to trade them in for who knows what. I mean nothing like trading in that prep for shield slam right?
2) This means that even if you want to play this on curve you might not be able to....if you have a spell you want to keep or is critical to your deck in your hand...you cant play this card safely so its stat line means crap in that case.
Overall...very disappointed personally with this card. Not only because its bad but because its not fun. For example even though Archbishop Benedictus is likely not a "good" card it is still unique and fun to play. It does something that no other card does at that scale (coping an ENTIRE DECK). So while not competitive its at least fun. This card is not good nor is it unique or fun...you get the same effect by playing 2 hallucinations (because we know that you arent going to be replacing more than 2/3 spells on a good play of this).
Something like "gain a random spell from your opponents class for each rogue spell in your hand) would have been entertaining and fun at least...but trading in the spells YOU WANTED IN YOUR DECK for a crap shoot..and not even discover its just a roll of the dice...

I wonder if she's related to Veronika Voss?
the card is good, but too boring. We need more good efects like sherazin, this is too random.
About this card seem good change some dead spell for some better like razorpetals or preps

Bruce Garrabrandt
good card you can remplace coin or spell that you dont want
This card is soooooo bad.
as a rogue, most the time you going to play a miracle style deck, so all the spells in your deck are cheap in cost.
so every single spell in your deck has a purpose, which is to removal, burst, and card draw.
Lilian can turn your back stab into a mind control, and you lost the game.
never lucky
thanks blizzard for this horrible legendary
