Ridiculous. This helps the Mage quest in two ways: first by giving us one of the six off-deck cards required to complete the quest, but in addition Sorcerer's Apprentice requires this type of card to explode the combo.
That you did not like this card and that you doubt it can enter your deck is one thing. But it is clear that when you get it through one of the many cards that give a random spell (or via Discover) in your hand, it will appear to you as a "Meta-Defining" card.
it doesn't give an off-deck spell though so your 1st way is wrong. the card is still good
It most certainly does give you a card that will uptick the quest. You didn't start with the copy, so it triggers the quest.
The text is kind of confusing. Can we get some clarification on how this card works? Is it a 3 mana card that is always a copy of whatever your lowest minion is while it's in your hand? Do you play it for 3 mana and it adds a copy of the lowest cost minion to your hand? Do you play it for 3 mana and it transforms into the lowest cost minion in your hand?

Life before death. Strength before weakness. Journey before destination.
This card actually helps quest mage quite a bit, all you have to do is use this to copy apprentice BEFORE you actually go for the combo, meaning you dont need to go through your entire deck to get all the combo pieces, you can copy the apprentices to make it faster and more consistent.
I don't see how this would make it faster, you still have two draw two apprentices, antonidas, and two of this/ molten reflection. Sure you can start preparing for the combo using your extra mana in the turns before (assuming you don't have doomsayers/arcanologists) but you still need to draw the same amount of cards
With this card you only need to draw 4 of your 5 combo pieces (and complete the quest obviously).
You need either: 1x apprentice, 2x Molten Reflection and Antonio. Copy the one apprentice BEFORE THE COMBO TURN, then pull off the combo as usual (play 2 apprentice, cast MR for 2 mana, then 2nd MR for 1 mana plus time warp for 1 mana = 8 mana)
Or: 2x apprentices, 1x Molten Reflection and Antonio. Copy an apprentice BEFORE THE COMBO TURN, then play all three apprentices and use molten reflection for 1 mana plus time warp for 1 mana = 8 mana)
Simulacrum acts as a 3rd apprentice, thats how it helps the quest. If you're desperate you can even use it to copy a doomsayer for more stalling if needed, this card was custom made for quest mage really. Only needs careful setup, but thats what makes it fun.
This.
Redundancy is exactly what Exodia mage needs right now. With multiple ways of going to combo, it adds consistency and allows combo pieces to be used for survival in desperate situation. I for one can't wait to play with this card.

I mean it's what exodia mage can use right now. "Need"...the raging baby in my head would like to speak with you about that.
For me this card is one of the sleepers / most underrated cards in the expansion. People that never played exodia do not understand how much stronger the deck will be with this.
Exodia will feed on a lot of control decks. Inb4 quest nerf, because of lack of interactivity. Until than, I will have fun freezing the board and not caring about 40 armor or any of the death knights.

Perhaps if the generated card had a mana discount...

Really cool card, I'm very curious to see how viable the combos you can pull with this are since I loved playing echo mage.
