It compensates for the extra 2 mana you may spend using Deathstalker's hero power, if you go for Deathrattle beasts that is.
It seems really nice, reasonable body for the cost and the effect is strong. Either playing it more a 1~2 drop on curve or following up with 4 mana Highmane + heropower is good already.
Midrange Hunter may be hard for Control decks to deal with in this expansion.
That's a nice tool for Midrange Hunter. And with some others minions of the upcoming expansion set it seems that something more controlish may come back to the meta.

For what profit is it to a man, if he gains the world and loses his own soul?
The point of a new expansion is to create new decks. If it does not fit in a current deck, it may fit in a new deck. And some midrange hunters do run nesting roc so hunters can run 5 cost minions in their deck. It may not currently fit in a deck at the moment, however if deathrattle hunter becomes a thing than they would play this card, and we are getting a ton of deathrattles in this expansion.
This card is a bit of nightmare for priests though. 4 attack and its effect can make stuff like savannah highmane cheaper. If it becomes good in the meta, priests will not enjoy seeing this guy.
Very strong card. Really hard to get rid of if you've caught curve with pressure and play this T5. Then the possibility of a T6 Highmane, HP and maybe another 2 cost deathrattle if not? Nasty.
Another 2-Cost? Nope, make it a 4-Cost. If this sticks on 5 you can play Savannah Highmane for (4 mana) + 2x Rat Pack (1 mana each) + 2x Loot Hoarder (both free) + 2x Kindly Grandmother (both free). That's how insane this card is.
Unless you casted nourish before or used the warlock hero power, you will also have casted only a single card up until turn 5. Sounds like a solid gameplan.
This scenario is wildly unrealistic since hunter wants to play 1 or 2 cards a turn. Which leaves (if at all) 2 cards to be discounted and not much to use the discount for.
Again, this is not how hunter plays atm and I have my doubt in control hunter.
I'm aware that it's highly unlikely that hunter will have that kind of hand size with the current decks they play, it was an extreme example to show just how powerful that card text is.
As a side note - if hunter ever gets to the point where they have enough quality deathrattles that they can simply curve out (1 card per turn), then playing 2 or 3 cards off the back of Corpse Widow could actually be fairly consistent.
Holy shit, that is busted! Turn 5 play this, followed by every deathrattle minion that costs 2 or less in your hand. Tempo Heaven.
And on top of that it has well-distributed stats, it's a beast, and it fills the 5-slot that has been pretty meh in Hunter until now.
Lastly this works wonder with Stampede, since there are several low-cost minions that are both deathrattles and beasts. Raptor Hatchling, Fiery Bat, Kindly Grandmother, Rat Pack and Infested Wolf. That's not even counting any new cards. 6-ish mana to both fill the board with AoE resistant minions, refill your hand, and put a must-kill minion on the board, really good.
This might as well be a vanilla 4/6 for 5 realy dont get the hype here. Hunter doesnt have draw so how many deathrattles youll have on your hand pre turn5, maybe 1 highmane?
Also set is full of cards that punish board spam, and this basically encourages it, this card is a timmy trap i say.
it might as well read "if this stays alive for 1 or more turns win the game" its going to create such and insurmountable tempo lead and you'll find yourself flattened by a huge board of near unkillable creatures in just 1 or 2 turns. right now people look at this card and think its good, but if the meta isn't hyper aggro this could easily become cancer
Hunter usually does not have all that many cards in hand on 5-6, so the effect doesn't do too much. Also, the hunter deathrattle minions have so far failed in making hunter a strong class.

imo to slow to see play in hunter, not a bad card but had the missfortune to be a classcard in hunter were itll see no play.
Could make Umbra viable.

Look Ma, it's a Hydralisk!
Can we keep it?

Voted playable.

Seriously wtf is that thing.
