You guys act like a 5/5 body is nothing. Plus the best times to play Sylvanas were right before a Shadowflame or SW:D. Or prior to a N'Zoth. Or some other shenanigans.
Sylvanas was good. This is crap. A 6 mana Corruption most of the time.
If the board state allows your opponent to treat it like a 6-mana Corruption....then maybe don't play it lol. This card is good and you are wrong if you don't think so.
Maybe you've never played Priest, in which case, you get a pass for being wrong.
I guess I am VERY VERY wrong then. Because I think this card is absolute shit and wont see play in either constructed or wild. (removal of any sort is good in Arena though, you might even take the 1 mana version of this card in there sometimes)
This seems pretty good. Yes, the opponent will try to trade it off after you play this but you'd be playing it on their best minion which may not be able to kill itself off from one trade. It may not see that much play but it will definately give Tirion Fordring a run for his money.
Too slow. It'll give your opponent the chance to kill or even silence the minion before your turn starts. Mind Control is just outright better.
And... the card you just listed also costs 4 more mana.
This card is good since priest can quite reliably make this card cost 4-5 mana without being really in fear of losing their Radiant Elemental. In an expansion where Deathrattles are important, this card is good since you don't exactly want to silence your own stuff and the idea of 'they can just trade it away' ... well, then you probably used the card very badly if you allow 'em to do that.
Is it 'brilliant'? Nah', but its damn good because its a Mindcontrol for 4 mana less in addition to Radiant Elemental reducing it further!
You can't be serious with this nonsense. This is one of the worst cards in the game lmao. Do not compare this to MC. The opponent just trades away whatever you blew 6 mana on and you basically waste a turn. This card is absolute garbage. If anything this is now one of the best ways to completely throw a game.
How in the world can they trade when you don't have anything on board ? usually priest doesn't have multiple minions on board. And by the way the meta is shifting there will be tons of huge bodies. using this on a tyrion/ragnaros/cairne/Ysera/Malygos/Aya/Big Golem ... when your death's end what do you do in a control matchup ? you have no answers. This is it. You take their big minion and turn arround the game. hell if you want to can use divine spirit/inner fire combo on it. The card is not bad, is situational if the meta allows it. If we are still in aggro meta this won't see play much.
Granted, when you are playing priest, you and your opponent are most likely trying to keep each other off the board completely. So that's going to limit your opponent's ability to trade the minion you cast this on. So if you can take the punch in the face that you are going to get, then this becomes a very nice board swing provided he can't deal with his own minion.
It can also be good on a big minion that your opponent can't just straight up trade, like Ysera or Tyrion, but not all big minions. If you use this on malygos you are dead, if you use this on Alexstrasza you are dead, if you use this on a fat jade golem, you are dead.
I just don't see this card justifying is place in a priest deck when it's a bad play in the large majority of circumstances. Could it win a game for you? Absolutely. Is it going to get you the win more often than any card you might replace it with? I doubt it, but I could be wrong.
Feels like a Mind Control for 4 less mana although they get to keep the card for at least one more attack. If they just want to kill it then it just acts like another form of removal. It may be like Corruption but has the added effect of taking control of the minion after the turn is over.
Its a solid arena card, with probably some potential in constructed priest decks.
dust, only good if the board is empty and your opponent plays a big minion, meanwhile you get smacked in the face.
this card is also anti-tempo, it doesnt do anything the turn you play it. If you're playing an expensive card, you really want it to do something immediately. think ragnaros (firelord and lightlord), spikeridged steed, dinosize, nzoth, etc. you might likely be dead the turn you play this or have it countered by a silence or favorable trade.
This card is waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too slow to see constructed play, and I doubt Arena players will care for it either. Wow this is a really bad card.
Maybe back in Classic, this would have been acceptable, but not this late in Hearthstone... Wow. That just astounds me that they always make these ridiculously bad cards and they usually end up in the Priest class.
lol if you don't think this card will see play, you don't play enough priest. good card.
edit: in fact, the more i think about it, the more i realize how bonkers this card is lol. people are stating all throughout this thread that 'well they can just suicide their minion,'. WHO CARES, NUMBNUTS?! that's what i want! go ahead! use one of your own spells against your own minion to keep it from me! trade it into something (what, I'm a priest you know i don't have any minions down)! priest is like the only class that can afford to play this on turn 6, cool their heals, have a sweet new minion next turn and throw up a Greater Healing Potion to counteract, 'doing nothing,' on turn 6. we're all going to be sick of this card.
Why the hell are they still printing mind control effects? When they will stop? Why Priests have to got 120 cards in the deck? This game is becoming more and more stupid. Ben Brode needs to go away.

Dunno noobs might think that you can attack with the minion the turn you get it? No you cant. Or why is this rated anything but dust lol?!
They really are out of ideas for Priest cards, it seems.

Too bad it's not "at the end of your opponent's turn". At least it could be used the following turn instead of two turns later.

Why, because "Battlecry: Win the game on the spot" wasn't printed? Come on man, get a little creative.

IIRC, this is the first priest card that queues mana. It also may be the first non-weapon that queues mana into future turns on the board.
Generally, this is a strong mechanic. We'll have a chance to see if it isn't here.
