This is going to be a rant on the new Warrior spell card revealed recently, Dead Man's Hand
First off I wanna say that I am a huge fan of the Warrior class ever since Naxx, Garrosh first ever golden portrait I got and that was 90% playing Control style decks. I also like the Blood Warriors deck alot one of the most satisfying decks I've played. Currently trying to reach Legend with Dragon Warrior. Warrior has been such a fascinating class in that it's combo potential, cheap and powerful removal options that all synergize with one or the other feels almost unnatural and consistent in a game like this but at the same time it feels like how a card game like this should be. Warrior has always been since beta a meta defining force with it's crazy OTK potential, and so many deck archetypes, Control, Combo, Fatigue, Tempo, Midrange, Aggro..you name it. No other class has that potential.
This expansion gave Warrior some very interesting cards so far, namely Blood Razor and this card, the other cards not too appealing but viable somewhere for sure. But I'm mainly here to talk about Dead Man's Hand.
Some of you probably already figured out the card quite literally has endless possibilities thanks to this one single card has and how much of an impact it will make to the class but if you can't see how then I'm gonna tell you why Warrior now breaks the game by a landslide.
Okay, think about the current meta. What is really strong right now? Aggro and Freeze Mage. Know what beats those decks consistently? Control Warrior. Jade Druid a problem still? Not anymore in this expansion. Never fatigue and potentially never run out of brawls, shield slams and executes for the big Jades that come pouring in. Control Warrior has always been a fatigue style deck and now this is exactly what it needed to go over the top. Not only can you potentially never deck out but never run out of gas and have the big impact cards for the rest of the game, if you can afford to hold onto them until you DMH. (Which with huge stacks of armor warrior can afford to) and against the mirror match...it's the most grindiest and longest games ever that will probably end up in a tie due to the turn limit.
Not just CW warrior that got a buff but Blood Warriors decks appreciate this being able to out last opponent with giants that ends up looking like another Jade Druid deck.
I'm glad CW got buffed and I knew one day CW was gonna be a tier 1 deck but this is just absolutely insane how much this card catipults the deck that high, I go as far as to say it's the single most broken class and deck in Hearthstone's history thanks to this card. I can go on and on about how many applications this has on the game and the class as a whole moving forward.
Going to be really hard to consistently get brawl back out as well as the other Dead Man's Hand quickly enough to shuffle them back in so you can use them. Remember that you still have to draw the cards, something fatigue warrior has a hard time doing.
I think Jade druid still has the upper hand in this matchup
This card gets out of hand if you can consistenly put another copy of it in your deck. If you get dead man's hand in your opening hand/poor mulligan but the second one in the bottom of your deck it is gonna be very hard. Then again this card is only good if you can consistently put your good cards/finishers in your deck, but you can't always wait on this card to be drawn. Against a aggro deck you need to be more quick, This card is powerfull and will in my opinion absolutely see play and probably revive/strenghten CW but the power will not be broken.
I'll be interested to see a full Wild PyromancerCommanding Shout warrior will do with this card to prevent fatigue. But the card is far from broken, it gives zero tempo and negative value. It only increases deck size that is rarely relevant.
Life gain would be a pretty big problem, not to mention against a standard control warrior they would probably and eventually outlast you. Just because of the consistency of the removal. Not to mention infinite N'zoths etc
That's literally impossible unless control warrior is unplayable for some incredibly insane reason.
You mean like Jades not rotating for another 8 or so months, that is literally all it takes. You can clear all day, but eventually an n'zoth filled with ayas from rogue, the tempo of shaman or a 30/30 jade from druid will reach your face.
I mean, I definitely agree the deck has what control // fatigue Warrior needs to get off its knees again (when Jade Idol rotates probably), but I wouldn't say that the card is broken. With enough setup and card draw, you can thin your deck to what you need (Brawl, big Legendary finishers, or more Dead Man's Hand) and turn-by-turn control the rest of the game till your opponent fatigues.
I don't necessarily agree with the argument "the game would have already been decided by turn 20-30, therefore this is useless," as fatigue warrior in the past has demonstrated it's longevity. Now, of course this may not be possible without a few more proper Warrior cards in the reveals, but the base set of cards Warrior has are already enough to merit a control-esque deck for the class semi-viable.
Additionally, this is a dead draw early game, which is something fatigue Warrior certainly does not need when facing a faster meta. This card definitely has the potential to see play in Warrior, but only time (and more card reveals!) will show if fatigue can survive in today's metagame.

Like Jades and sticky minions?

I'm going to take the dissent here and say that this card will not even see play. It makes little to no difference in the game unless it's in the fatigue stage.
This card is too slow to break the game.. it will have some trolden moments, but never on a consistent basis.. you must draw all your deck to consistently pull it off, it will never be a thing.. you compared it to jades, but jade idol is ao much easier to como because of card draw.. warrior has a lot of draw, but more conditional draw..
i can definitely see some Arcane giant deck that shuffles them into your deck(when they are 0 mana). You have 2 arcane giants, sudden genisis, blood warriors, whirlwind and deadmans hand in hand. Shuffle them into deck and then next turn drop this:
If a super heavy fatigue/removal warrior becomes a thing, Exodia mage will show up to stomp on it and say thank you for dragging out the game long enough to draw through the deck.
Also, I think you overestimate how well fatigue warrior will fair against jade druid. I think that is going to be a far more even and skill testing match at best, if Jade doesn't just steamroll. Do you think you will be able to hold onto the second brawl long enough to reshuffle with consistency when the Jade monstrosities are smashing down the wall?

I guess by the time you would actually get use of this the game would have already been decided. I mean we are literally talking about turn 20-30 here
Just remember the good times!

Will do dead mans hand in my Quest Warrior. Endless taunts and 8 damage a turn. Should be pretty good. Thoughts?

Inb4 card turns out to be really, REALLY bad.

Yeah, a toast!

Just to ask, what is the record for longest Hearthstone game?
2-1 odds Brian Kibler will pull it off in a video
