Good against Token decks like Token Druid and Token Shaman
but I'm not sure against Aggro Murloc Pally and Pirate Warrior
Murlock can pass the walls if warleader remain in game or get poison option from the beast but pirates will suffer, if have to waste all damage from your weapon give the time to druid play a big taunt in turn 7 or 8.
Someone on the dev team bumped into too many token shamans in a row or something?
Seems kinda silly tbh. I don't really play the types of decks that are affected by it, but it seems like a free-pass to play ramp/bigdruid without drawback.
This will be played in every Druid deck except for its most aggro deck. 5 mana 2/10, 3/15, 4/20, 5/25, 5/30 of stats spread on the board with buffs. I see a legit egg Druid deck coming up.
I feel that for this card to get real value, you have to summon at least 3 scarabs with it. That means your opponent has to have at least 3 more minions than you do. If you have even just 1 minion on the board, they need to have at least 4. If you have 3 minions on the board, they need 6, etc etc. Looking at it that way, I feel this card is only really useful against zoo style hyper aggro decks where there's a ton of minions alive on your opponent's side. But, there's a lot of aggro decks that are still very aggro but simply don't have that many minions on the board. Or, I should say, that many more minions on the board than you. This is largely due to the fact that most of the time when you play against aggro, you're constantly killing off the biggest threats to mitigate the damage. It's not that uncommon for your opponent to only have maybe 1 or 2 more minions than you do because you're focused on clearing them off while they're focused on smashing your face.
That being said, I'm going to say this is a bad card and am going to vote that way. Sure, there will be times when this card summons you 6 scarabs and that gives you enough breathing room to catch up. But overall, I don't see this card getting played much in constructed or arena.
One other thing. I feel people are misrepresenting the amount of power these scarabs are representing. For instance.
If opponent have 2 minions it gives you 2/10 status vs 4/6, if have 3 is 3/15 status
This is just one of many such instances of misrepresenting the amount of power on board. You just can't calculate power that linearly and have it be accurate.
I'll illustrate. Lets say my opponent has three 5/5 minions on the board. (quest rogue maybe) and I get three scarabs. On my opponents turn he kllls all three of my scarabs with his 5/5 minions and they are now injured 5/4 minions. In this scenario, my scarabs were the equivalent of a 1/15 minion, not a 3/15. IE: if I had a single 1/15 minion on the board and he puts all three of his 5/5 minions into it, then again he's left with three injured 5/4's on the board.
The only time three scarabs would be the equivalent to a 3/15 minion would be against a single target (which is not really how this card works, but anyway..). Let's use the three scarabs as an example again. Three 1/5 scarabs vs a single target will ultimately do 3 damage to that target. Say the target is a 15/15. It attacks the three scarabs and clears them out and you're left with a 15/12. In this instance, the scarabs had the same power as a 3/15 minion. Simple math, a 15/15 attacks a single 3/15 minion, it kills it and takes 3 damage leaving a 15/12 on the board.
Generally speaking, you simply can't evaluate this card as, 'I got 4 scarabs, that's the same as a 4/20 minion' because that's just a fallacy. As silly as this may sound, the best way to look at this would be, 'I got four 1/5 taunt minions worth of value' out of this card. Because that's exactly how much value you are getting. No more, no less.
Exactly. That's just another reason why equating four 1/5 minions to be 4/20 worth of stats is a silly fallacy and you see it stated as much all throughout this thread. It's just plain better to treat them as they are. If you get three of them, then treat it as three 1/5 taunt minions. People shouldn't try to equate it to 3/15 worth of stats because a lot of the time (most of the time), it just isn't going to be equal to that in one way or another.
I can't say it is very good. Hopefully it is a card that can lock aggro out of games entirely though. If the meta does become control heavy, this card becomes much worse. If it released today, it would be an outwin in some matches. It's a lot of stats against board flood.
Its actually pretty bad. 1/10 for 5 mana. It already exist a 1/7 for 4 mana, this card is not impactufll enough, not even against aggro, it might be usefull against full face decks though....but is not very good.

Bro that is the statline value on the board and to show how easy you can use this card gain value.
This card I was confused at first the meaning...now I understand.
you can effectively create a wall of 1/5's against aggro. Which seems to take most of standard. So probably a good pick in constructed.
Not really useful in arena though where this could often be a 5 mana 1/5 taunt....not even close to good. Maybe if it was 3 or even 4 mana would be worthy of a pick in arena

I think you misunderstand the text. I thought the same way.
its as long as the opponent has more minions cast this card again. If your opponent has three minions like a 1/1, 2/3 and a 3/2 on the board when you have nothing on your side. Then you get three 1/5's, and so on as long as you have less than your opponent, since this card will be cast 3 times

Druid finally has a hard counter to Paladin in Arena.

Does anybody know if the 2nd+ cast of this increases the count for Yogg?
Release the Kraken!
Blizzard just made SmorC guys cry
So if you have something like Mana Wyrm it gets buffed for each minion?
there is no way auctioneer doesnt get nerfed into the ground. they literally cast again so he triggers.
edit: i am 99.9% positive auctioneer actually gets moved to hall of fame because of these cards.
