Interesting tempo swing. Forces a bad trade from your opponent or at least some kind of guaranteed removal. Is it worth putting in a deck? Maybe not. But getting it off Professor Putricide would be fantastic.
I think it might be if you are going for a controlly type route. Now the question is control hunter a deck worth building? I think it may just go back to midrange, just a slightly slower variant.
You know you can play a 2/3 cobra for 3 mana without having to trigger a secret, right?
You can also play jungle panter for 3 yet cat trick is considered one of the better secrets, it's also better since when the sneak comes into play your opponent already did a trade that doesn't play around it.
It's a little bit worse than snake trap/freezing trap. Maybe about as good as cat trick. Definitely not a terrible secret, though. The conditions are certainly easier to meet than cat trick.

I'd think maybe a 1 of for this is acceptable.
Snake Trap doesn't really hit me as a control card, I find it hard to compare them. Freezing trap is considerably better as a control trap however. I think 1 of is appropriate. Perhaps two if you really want to push the control theme, which I will, and will likely fail at, again. Was thinking maybe 1 of these, 1 snipe, two freezing and two explosive.
Really, really good with all of the Trap synergies. Way better than cards like Bear Trap that can be more easily played around, this almost always trades 1 for 1 at the very least.
This is a great card. People who don't understand why Cat Trick is so good will puzzle over this one, but if you are playing against hunter, you are likely closer to a loss than you realize.

I mean... it is a 1-mana discount Emperor Cobra, but it requires trap activation. Seems rather meh to me. I don't see it being particularly good. Giant Wasp and Stubborn Gastropod would probably serve just as well if you want a poison on the board. Doesn't synergize with Tundra Rhino either.
A cool application of this card is that it makes hunter secrets harder to play around. Let's say you have a 3/2 and a 4/5 on the board. Do you attack with the 3/2 to face to play around freezing trap, or do you attack the 4/5 in to a minion to play around this card? Usually with secrets you attack with your smallest minion first, but this card makes that decision a little more complicated.
Needing to be aware this card exists makes other hunter secrets stronger, even if this doesn't make it in to most decks. It's a little like how pirate warrior and quest warrior make each other stronger by making mulligan strategies less obvious when facing them.
So original thinking. Let us make a secret that summons Ironfur Grizzly, then let us make another secret that summons Jungle Panther, and then let us make another secret that summons Emperor Cobra. What does design team do? I would have made these suggestions as well.
No, stop pointing that out, or the next secret will summon Silverback Patriarch!

$100 says next expansion we get Rat Trap.
OK, it's a new Secret. Nothing to write home about. It is just an alternative card to Snake Trap but is most likely worse.
You might not put it in your deck, but you probably won't complain when you get a free one from Professor Putricide.

Not Face. Therefor bad. /s

This card doesn't seem good enough to earn a spot in your deck, but it's decent when you get it from Professor Putricide.

New Hunter Card Reveal - Venomstrap Trike
Looks like a "filler" somehow, but imo it is important to keep the variety of secrets.
12 wins in ArenA with: Mage and Paladin, first time legend with Rogue
Voted playable.
Similar to snake trap, which is sometimes played. I think the 2/3 venomous cobra is probably better than three 1/1's.
This needed to be like noble sacrifice, or give your minions poisonous. but as is . . . . it's playable
