Hm. You could run Hydrologists instead and try for secrets than respawn your slain minions with their bubbles, or go for the Tyrion/Wickerflame/something divine shielded on demand. Both minions are 2/2 but Hydros are cheaper.
Anyone going to sneak C'Thun in a divine shield deck, as he's got two followers with shield? I only noticed a few months ago there were no C'thun pally cards while trying to make The Last Kaleidosaur work. 10 points of damage on C'thun drop might come in handy.
Doesn't fit in a divine shield deck as 2/2 draw a card is not that good.
Could only see this being used to tutor for a particular card (that happens to have divine shield). Maybe Tirion in control paladin (to get it killed before N'zoth). Still seems pretty weak though.
It's good in a control deck tose that use acolyte of pain could replace it with this card since it's instant draw which is important, weaker than stonehill defender though.
I love this card! A rng tutor-spell tied to a minion. Will see testing for sure. Will get better over time if paladin starts running/gets more divine shield minions!
I love this community a 4 mana 2/6 create a terrible spell= useless, a 3 mana 2/2 draw a specific type of card from your deck= good people debated me that 2/6 ws good cause of synergy but this card everyone says suck, yet some divine shield minions are very strong, obviously not a card that beats aggro but some paladin decks run AOP so this replaces it on decks with 3+ DS minions
You know. It's like. Fair. Okay. Drawing tirion is obviously really strong. But you probably won't run this just for Tirion. Burnbristle as well? That seems okay, but also maybe not enough? Anti synergy with corpse crafter. My question is, is this better then stonehill defender? My gut reaction is "no". Drawing tirion is really good, but discovering him is even better (drawing him obviously makes your remaining draws, on average, worse) Stonehill isn't perfect but he's pretty good at that. If he's not better then stonehill, I don't think he'll see play. Because stonehill will be enough "draw" from low stat 3 mana cards.
Overall I think the stats are just going to be slightly too weak for the offer. Literally 1 or 2 more stats and I think it would have seen play. Which is close enough to make me very unsure about my assessment.
That said I guess there's hope in the future for this card if they release a ton of bad taunts for paladin. That'd sure make this card better in a really funny way.
I want to say it has potential because the art looks awesome. The effect is pretty good as well. But, why the hell is this card 3 mana? I am looking at Arcanologist, it fits on your curve 100% but it gives you a spell. So, your next turn will not be that active. But, this card gives you a minion, specifically a divine shield minion. This is why I understand that this card should have less stats than Arcanologist. But 3 mana looks kind of bad.
This card could have been 2 mana 2/2 or 3 mana 3/3. Noone wants to play a 3 mana +1/+1 Novice Engineer which sometimes doesn't draw you any card. At least that is what I think.
Great card. As usual, tutor cards are the strongest cards in any card game: they further your game plan by avoiding rng and thinning your deck. Especially in a Paladin deck, in which you'll always play at least 1 divine shield minion - Tirion. There's no point comparing this minion to Stonehill Defender; that's a random discover effect, this is a tutor, meaning it draws you a card you want when you need it. Stats are perfectly fine - and yes, Arcaneologist is broken as a tutor card, so don't compare this with it. This kind of cards is what HS needs more of
Thank you. At least someone understands how card games work.
Cards like this make me realize how bad the HS community is at understanding its own game. This card will be a 2-of in every control paladin.
A cheap minion that replaces itself with another minion will usually see play, but will probably be cut when decks get tuned/stuffed full of tech. I won't be crafting it but I'll throw it into a handbuff or a divine zoo deck if I pull one.

3 Mana Loot Hoarder
Wrong text! should've been "destroy a dragon and gain +2/+2"

Gorge you hatred, embrace your rage.
The stat just made it unplayable. Maybe some good Divine Shield Minions which arent revealed yet will make it better curve.

50% vote for "Playable": for 3 drop 2/2, with very mediocre effect.
Dust it, too too weak. If it was a 3/2 instead of a 2/2 it would be bad, but this is unplayable.

a card that gives you controllable cantrips is a good card

Doesn't curve well with Minibot. Unless we see a crazy 4-drop with ds, this won't see play.
Divine shield deck will not work, this card will draw Tyrion only, so Tyrion on curve, very good.
My magic will tear you apart!
If they don't use the flavor text to make a Skyrim joke, this card will have no purpose to exist for whatsoever.
Rage quitting: the best way to ensure your opponent knows they beat a giant baby.
