If divine shield gets a whole lot of support, I could see this being alright. As of now, though, it seems pretty unlikely to be great. At least it's better than shaman's new weapon.
I think even if DS paladin is good, this card will still suck. Bolvar has much more potential and is much better on its own, and much more crucially isn't competing for much at the 5 drop whereas this competes with truesilver, Blessing and potentially Lightfused Stegodon in a DS deck

I've been waiting for the other shoe to drop for Paladin + Divine Shield synergies. There's not a reliable way to generate Divine Shields yet besides Steward of Darkshire, but we're definitely very close. I'm just glad I still have my Blood Knights still lying around.

With this, I'm taking a guess and saying that the Paladin Hero card will either read something like "Give all your minions divine shield" or have the hero power be "Give a minion divine shield". Might not fit with the Death Knight theme too much, but fits with the divine shield theme we're starting to see.
I can imagine this card beein played in a aggresive token deck. 4 Swings could generate an insane dmgoutput for 4 mana if u have a lot of divineshield tokens. I can see potential
A bit slow. If you can pop one shield the turn this is played, then can't play any minions the turn you play this so you can't pop any more, your first two attacks have 2 attack. After that it's easy to make this 5+ attack but after two attacks that's too late. If you can pop two shields the turn you play this, it's extremely good, otherwise it's extremely bad.
Feels well-balanced for now, we'll have to see what the new meta brings. Forces trading to activate the weapon buff, so that's good. and with 5 separate weapon removals available, this is also a great target for Gluttonous Ooze.

Reason why weapon so popular - tempo gain, weapons without tempo gain is bad, specilly weapon who requires trading your minions, specially 1/4 for 4 mana, 100 dust.

It will see play just like Poisoned blade did. Ohhhhh wait....

behold, Light's Sorrow + Steward of Darkshire + Southsea Deckhand x2 + Patches the Pirate = 9 mana 3/4 weapon, 3/3, 2/1, 1/1
*pirates have charge so you can instantly trade away the divine shield for Light's Sorrow buff

As much as I like Divine shield decks this wont beat out truesilver for the slot.
Are you really sure this is not a rogue weapon? Shit weapons are class identity of Valeera for ages...
I fully expect to see a Paladin spell that gives all friendly minions divine shield.
