This is Druid's very own N'Zoth. I always wondered why people say that Warrior is the Taunt Class when Druid has the best Taunts in the game(Ironbark Protector, Dark Arakkoa, Ancient of War, Druid of the Claw, Jade Behemoth). However I don't think that Ancient of War and Druid of the Claw will be re summoned as they originally don't have Taunt. Still this card is amazing in Ramp Druid.
But the question is why will you play this card when you can play Jade Druid????
Rating: 4.5/5.
This card will only see player after MSoG rotates out(April 2018).
Honestly not sure this card will see any play. Looks like the Druid Quest all over again. The Deathrattle is the real issue here. If you dedicate 9 Mana to this one card, and it just gets silenced, your end-game plan is pretty much ruined. What made N'Zoth so strong was the immediate impact on the board as he was played, this is nothing like that at all.

Druid of the Claw will. It's a transform effect and therefore stays even when bounced or resurrected.
This card is going DIRECTLY into a C'Thun ramp druid that drops this card to summon two 5/7 Dark Arakkoa and a giant C'Thun, then to N'Zoth into two C'thun and four Dark Arakkoa.

oh! yes. Now I understand the wording difference between Transform and gain attack except the silence synergy.
Does it work with taunted Druid of the Claw and Ancient of War ? I guess yes with Druid of the claw, but with ancient of war I am not so sure, since the taunt counts as a buff. Makes it slightly worse, if that is the case.
edit: I think it's too slow. No threatening stats, no taunt and one or maybe even two free turns for the opponent. Admitted, the effect is great, but I think it will come too late.
Don't see why people are rating it so highly. It's a 9 cost card that does nothing the turn it's summoned. There hasn't been a single good card that costs 9 or more that does nothing immediately. Too slow even in a control format. Too vulnerable to removal and too hard to kill off to get the deathrattle even if it isn't removed. If only it had 5 attack you'd be able to cheat it out with Anaconda. If there's some way to cheat this card out it could be decentish. If quest druid could ever work this may be playable who knows. But without some very good cards to support it I don't see it happening. Who knows though.
I think a great card for Blizzard to release would be something like 3 mana 2/2 battlecry your next Deathratte triggers on summon instead (idk wording, trying to make it so you don't get double value, just instant value and it gets rid of the deathrattle after). This would be a very nice way to make these slow deathrattle cards like Sindragosa and this much more effective. If not, I'm afraid a lot of these really cool effects will be too slow and counterable to work.
i think this might be really good in Wild mill Druid with deathlords and Belchers and NZoth (and the naturalize combo). In standard though, I don't see it working without something like the aforementioned synergy.
Too slow to see play, like a weaker version of N'zoth. if the stat were reversed 7/3 maybe, butright now you need to have both a 7+ attach minion to have the resurrect effect one turn later.
Most likely it will take you at least 2 turns until you can pop the deathrattle. Against any aggressive deck, token deck and other damage heavy deck, you lost already by play a 3 attack minion for 9 mana.
Well, it's very hard to effectively evaluate cards like this. As it stands, I personally don't think it will be played. Too slow, very niche, no immediate effect etc. However, with effects with as much potential and power as this has, all it takes is one creative deck to skyrocket it into Tier 1. This is one of those cards that if it manages to trigger and you aren't on the verge of death, will pretty much single-handedly win you the game. This guy dies and you get something between 3 to 5 large taunt minions? Maybe even more? Yeah, the effect is pretty insane.
We all know that minions with deathrattles that summon more minions are very powerful. Back in the old days, Harvest Golem was king of the 3 drops. Piloted Shredder dominated the meta for over a year. Even today, we have hunters with Rat Pack. The main issue here is that this card is just so damn slow. Sneed's Old Shredder used to be king when it comes to this kind of effect and at 8 mana, wasn't played too much. It was just too slow. However, it's effect was far less reliable than this card here and it's in the one class that can help offset the 9 mana cost with ramping and innervates. What I'm saying is, it could work and if it does, it'll be insane.
Overall though, I simply don't see this being played. Any way I look at it, it just feels too slow and countered too easily. I mean, you can't even face a shaman these days without running into two Devolves and two Hexes. So I'm sticking with my vote of Playable. However, if just one person can figure out a way to make this card work reliably and can build a deck around it? It could easily skyrocket the deck into Tier 1 as a meta-defining card. Until then though, I'll retain my skeptical vote of 'Playable'.
Did someone say taunt quest druid?

Nzoth is good cause of the battlecry effect . This might be too slow and easy to remove . It is playable but not that great in the moment.

Spiritsinger Umbra? Hell Yes! 6Mana summon a copie of a beast? Hell Yes!
"... but not less than (1)" is needed now more than ever!

Taunt Druid hype train...
Dead but dreaming
Also, The Curator. I don't care if this card is "good", I'm playing the shit out of it.

Poor stats and it's too slow. Maybe will see play in wild with N'zoth and sludge beltcher.

Not obviously terrific, but I'm sure would fit in the right N'Zoth deck.... Too bad it's a deathrattle.
question:
if my Ancient of War and Druid of the Claw were summoned, will they be 5/10 taunt and 4/6 taunt or 5/5 and 4/4?
never lucky
