Balanced body, awesome deathrattle that sets up for either taunt play (Defender of Argus!) or just ping if you're in dire need of a minion.
Part of me wants the legendaries to appear on board and not i-hand, because battlecries can be super powerful, but then again, forcing mana usage for that also means that your opponent clearing a (likely) taunted Frozen Champion can continue to control board.
Above all else: N'ZOTH (and/or) DRAGON MAGE

Rage quitting: the best way to ensure your opponent knows they beat a giant baby.
Potion of Madness alone isn't going to work, since the minion needs to die the same turn for the deathrattle to take effect and it can't attack while it's 0/1. Cabal Shadow Priest would work better, but even then the opponent can play around it.
Really slow, "win-more" card.. Gotta pay 8 mana, pop your own 0/1's and MAYBE get something good which is meh.. cause 3 turns for that?.. But its cool af and it'll be my first craft for sure. (Only play mage)
I hope that DK jaina we saw isnt real and has something other than elemental synergy.
Slow value card with N'Zoth and dragon synergy. Could be good, although I am concerned with "Random legendary". Can't wait to get Nat Pagle and Nat, the Darkfisher...
Guys seriously this is just a meh card 8 mana slot is for Medivh
That's actually a great point, it seems this whole thread has forgotten about the new deck building rules that will be rolled out soon, where you can only have one card for each mana cost above 5 in your deck.
Also how fucking dumb are you guys? 8 mana 7/7 is STRICTLY AND UNDENIABLY BETTER than 8 mana 8/8.
Don't forget this I will come back and point your comment when you figure out how bad is this card at next meta. Medivh also does nothing at the turn you play him and 7 body for 8 mana but it has way greater value at next turns because you get double value from the spells.
This card works better in a dragon mage deck than Medivh. You tend to play less spells and have more bodies on the board. The 0/1's give you a reward once they wipe the board. I could definitely see this work in a value dragon mage deck. Not big on the Nzoth synergy since you kinda want deathrattle minions that are useful right away when summoned by him. Waiting for the 0/1's to die to get some random card is a bit too slow.
Fun! Obviously it can be triggered by opponent AOE, but for some reason I've always loved pinging my own minions (usually an Acolyte of Pain) for resource gain. I won't craft this card, but if I open one Mage will probably become my go-to casual class.
Since deathknight jaina seems so Elemental focused its kinda weird their pushing dragons also into this. Until now it was never a good thing for a class having pushed to many archtypes into it in one set.
Mage also has enough lategame winning options already, this is just overkill. Mage needs good options on 3 mana more than this.
I assumed people would understand you'd have to combo with dragonfire, or shadow: pain, or a buff card :P... but Cabal Shadow priest.. didn't think of that one.. the dream play anyways haha!
Should read "Battlecry : your opponent will think twice about using AoE"
I don't know if I want to run value control mage with this or dragon mage or N'Zoth mage...oh the possibilities. Regardless I'm gonna craft this guy golden.

"Let me change your mind"
Dibbity don't touch that!

Spiritsinger Umbra
After the Warlock legendary, I am just happy to see a class legendary with a legendary level effect, even if it does end up being too slow.
Would be really good in control mage if that's a deck that becomes popular this next expansion.

N'Zoth, the Corruptor value is real
Imagine this being a priest card O_O
never lucky
If RNG si strong with you, you cab get infinite value with Elize the trailblizer and you can never take fatigue damage
just consider Netherspite Historian and Alexstrasza in your deck. this card will be free.

8 mana 8/8 draw 2 cards....hard to argue against.
