I don't think rogue needs a better weapon for this to work, obsidian shard is good enough. What it needs is a way to discount it fast. Ethereal Peddler is too expensive, a mini variant with same battlecry but 3 mana 4/3, or 2 mana 3/2 would be perfect to keep control of the board long enough to gain advantage of cheap stolen stuff and lifesteal weapon.
Actually, you don't get it. Unless something else is announced, this is most likely unplayable as is. The healing portion of this spell is marginal at best.
Let's say you manage to use it with a Assassin's Blade - You are looking at a 7 mana cost for 12 damage and 12 health upon 4 turns.
That's almost your *best case scenario* and this is *only* if you are not using your weapon to deal with the board (IE : racing against aggro)
Sure, let's add another card, Deadly Poison into the fray, which will happen once every 100 games for 5 damage and 5 healing over 4 turns for 3 cards and 8 Mana.
How often do you find yourself struggling against aggro decks when you have reached turn 7 ? Turn 8 ?
The best cases are too slow against aggro decks. The nominal effect of the card is (with the current card pool) not good enough to warrant a spot in your decklist.
I'd rather have 2x Earthen Ring Farseer which serve the same purpose and can even be used as a tempo play rather than dead cards that provide zero benefits without specific other card types which are weak to often played counters (Weapon removal - everybody runs that)
This card isGarbage and will not see play. 2 mana is overpriced and it dont buff you weapon just apply lifesteal. Control Rogue will not exist guys sorry to end the dream.
Why does it cost 2? Are they afraid of giving Rogues cheap spells?
It's costed for the best case scenario (Assassin's Blade) when it should be costed for a middle-ground scenario, like a Deadly Poisoned hero power. 1 mana heal for 6 over 2 turns is perfectly reasonable.
Even with Assassin's Blade, it heals for 12 over 4 turns. That's still worth about 1 mana, it's just not that good.
it does not feel good enough to see constructed play but maybe rogue will finally get a weapon that is playable, if it does I could see this making it into midrange rogue. I have doubts but the cards is about vanilla level power if you have a weapon, so maybe it is good enough for arena.

Just fill your deck with one drops, that is creative deck design, right?

Of course control rogue will not exist with only this card.
It's a step in the right direction. It shows that they now feel okay with the idea of healing tools in the rogue kit.
Sorry, you didn't end my dream, it literally just came true with this card reveal, now I just have to be patient.
btw, every card should have counters, mentioning the anti-weapon cards is irrelevant. Remember the good old days of Doomhammer ? The anti weapon techs didn't prevent a 8 durability weapon from being played.
Well that's the thing, I don't need luck anymore, it's just a matter of time, control rogue is in the grand scheme of things now.
All I want is something viable, not something meta defining, so this will come soon enough !
Well said . If they want Control Rouge to be a thing i wouldn't be surprised if we don't see hmmmm a 5 mana 5/6 battlecry discover a Weapon for example:D
Basically it's a 2 mana "Heal 2 while taking face damage". Weapons ? None is playable. Weapon buffs ? With only Deadly Poison, you'll need those 2 cards right when you need them, and it's still 2 card 3 mana "Heal 6 and deal 6 while taking face damage".
It's overcosted ... even at 1 mana it would be bad. And absolutely no synergy with other cards like Blade Flurry ...
Even if this is supported by strong weapons/weapon buffs in KFT, it is still a terrible card.
Terrible? Probably. But healing in rogue is dangerous in a similar way that giving druid to much control is dangerous and giving shaman... well... everything was dangerous. I also think saying "while taking face damage" isn't fair. You are playing a weapon class. You are going to take face damage and you can always go for the opponent's face. If this ends up healing for 6 it did as good a job as Holy Light. Period. And it could heal more.

Not sure if trolling about Blade Flurry or you live in another dimension.
The real question is, how many hero powers after equipping Poisoned Blade do you need to do to make vampiric poison good. hmmm.

2 mana heal for 2 op

Acidic Swamp Ooze (in lower ranks) , Gluttonous Ooze , Bloodsail Corsair , Harrison Jones .
Enough said.
This on Gorehowl. :) If Rouge had a Weapon like that this card would be nuts. Maybe Rouge gets a little support in that direction.

Conditional and vanilla heal. Really bad card. Pack filler I guess.

2 mana: restore 2 life to your hero
It's a really weak heal. 2 mana should give a heal of 6 going by other classes, which needs some serious set up on Rogue beyond just this card.
nice combo heal
Maybe a equiped Weapon can be buffed with Captain Greenskin ^^

Wow, I think this is easily the most powerful healing ever printed as a rogue card.
Also, this is complete garbage.
