I really hope that rogue either gets an awesome weapon along with this card, or that they buff bladeflury (maybe to 3 cost) and make it work with this card. Else this card is just trash ...
One thing to keep in mind....Rogue will be getting a new weapon, in the form of whatever hero power upgrade the deathknight card will give. The weapon will probably be pretty good. If it has high attack/durability then it could synergize well with leeching poison and make it playable. Deathstalker Rexxar's hero power changes him to be more control based, so maybe this upgrade will too.
blade furry doesn't work with Envenom Weapon, because it's like an deathrattle effect which means that it deals damage after destroying the weapon, so there won't be any synergy like that with Leeching Poison
I really want this to be good and make way for a new Rogue deck, running this blade furry, deadly poison, that card that gives your weapon poisonous etc.
However, I feel like it won't be viable due to it being a very clunky combo deck and any kind of weapon removal will outright destroy this deck...
I did some theorycrafting and testing on the wild ladder (rank 7), and i must tell you that this stuff is going to be dangerous. I ran two swashburglars, two hucksters, brann, one raptor, shaku, two squidfaces, two peddlers and two obsidian shards. From spells i had two preps, two backstabs, two hallucinations, two deadly poisons, two eviscerates, two shurikens, two burgles, two fan of knives and one shadow strike. In most games i had complete board control and pumped up the shard up to 12-15 even vs rogues when it wasn't discounted. It's a great weapon, i think a burgle/lifesteal shard archetype will be pretty cool with even more board control with that poison giver fella so let's wait out the rest of the cards to make the judgement.

Thank you for shining some positive light onto the card. I've taken a slightly different approach with looking at the card (I have a midrange pirate/burgle deck I've theorycrafted) but I've come up with similar results. Everybody says "weapon removal" or "heal for 6 worthless". Of course this is going to be a bad card if just dropped into any given rogue deck with Deadly Poison tacked on.
The highest rank I ever made it to (rank 1) was achieved using a weapon buff Luckydo rogue. If you're running several weapon buffs (Deadly Poison, Captain Greenskin, Naga Corsair, Southsea Squidface) alongside two Obsidian Shards and perhaps even an Assassin's Blade, you'll have plenty of situations where you'll have a big weapon that can heal you for a ton. I imagine that we'll often get 9-12 healing out this. People jump to drop Ooze as soon as they see Deadly Poison or a Naga buff because they just assume no rogues ever run weapons. You bait their one weapon removal out with a wimpy weapon and then buff up a bigger weapon afterward. It's just like anything in this game.
The card won't be clunky or slow or too combo-reliant because it will be used in decks that already benefits from having buffed up weapons. Of course if you threw Gadgetzan Auctioneer into a zoo deck, it would be a total piece of crap. But in miracle rogue it's incredible. Same thing goes for this card. It's a very niche card and that's something I really like about it as someone who enjoys theorycrafting.
Voted dust it. Unless rogues get a 4+ attack weapon that isn't garbage and even then, this card is complete trash until you have said weapon equipped. Almost all cards that are this worthless on their own are almost always without fail pretty damn awful.
This card should have cost 0. At least then it could be used as a combo enabler and on a solid weapon would amount to some pretty decent trickle healing over a few turns.
They just took a bad fanmade card and printed it without even bothering to change anything. I guess we're stuck with Miracle for yet another expansion.
This is just Team 5 spitting in our faces for asking for Rogue healing, the card is literally shittier than that Priest Silence card everyone bitched about and even that found an archetype. This is like a backhanded Rogue Arena nerf, lame shit is lame.
So in the interest of making this card work, I've theorycrafted a deck and run it on the standard ladder with two substitutions (another SI:7 and a Shadowstrike) in place of Leeching Poison. In about 15 games at rank 6-9 I went on a huge win streak and ended up 11-5 with it. I beat four jade druids, a token druid, one pirate warrior, three mages and two murloc pallies. I lost to two pirate warriors, a mage, a token druid and a control pally. I feel like losing the Shadowstrike and SI:7 would be a bit of a hit but not big enough to justify leaving out the healing I would have received, making all my token druid, warrior and mage matchups easier. There were several times where I could have easily healed anywhere from 9-12 damage from one Leeching Poison. People make that sound like absolutely nothing but as a rogue who uses weapons to regularly remove minions, it's huge. I'm stoked for the rest of the reveals and hope that there's some better weapons as I wouldn't mind tossing Assassin's Blade in the trash bin if we get something strong with high durability. For everyone saying "Ooze, etc", I had a weapon Oozed once in 16 games and one durability taken away from that 1-cost pirate. And with all the weapons and buffs I have, it's really not the end of the world.
Anyway, here's the deck. If you like it, toss an upvote as I'll be playing and refining it all through the next expansion since Thief Rogue has always been my favourite archetype.

Worst card I've ever seen.

Violet Illusionist >>>>> This shitty card
Well it is two mana for pretty much nothing ^^

Eh, it's okay. Too bad everyone's teching Ooze because of MedivhPiratePaladin.

Rogue gives weapon lifesteal and hits opponent...
Opponent plays ooze next turn..
So weapon was only played once...
Potentially crappy card.
"Be excellent to each other." Bill and Ted
This card can work if they give to Rogue a Hero who allow you to add a random weapon poison to your hand (so far Deadly Poison, Leeching Poison, Envenom Weapon, Tinker's Sharpsword Oil... and maybe new ones).
Voted bad.
A poor lifegain card, whatever. Just play earthen ring farseer, it's better.
Bet you fuckers didn't expect this card to end up gettin nerfed huh?
