I don't want discardlock to be playable. I want Blizzard to quit trying to make discardlock a thing.
I'm yet to meet a player who says "whoa, discarding cards is fun!". Had a Wild match with my friend one of these days. A demonlock, the classic voidcaller Mal'ganis combo. The glorious old days...
Good thing that Warlock at least has room on Wild.

This, so much this. Hopefully, they'll stop trying to push this shitty archetype, just like they did with Beast Druid.
This card is just bad. Darkshire Councilman has 1 hp less, but he's common, cost 2 mana less, and can snowball much faster becoz summon instead discard.
Good or bad or playable or trash, the real problem is Blizzard has a major disconnect with the warlock community. We did NOT want another discard legendary. We've made it loud and clear that we do not like discard. There's too much rng, not enough power cards to make it competeable w/o over doing it. It's just a mechanic we'd rather not be forced into playing, yet here we are again 2 expansions in a row and Blizzard once again shoves a trashy discard legendary down our throats. They're not listening to us. They're ignoring us and persuing their own agenda. Even if Tweaker boy says its good we already know it's not because we actually play discard many times. We all know that any card in your hand is discard fodder, and that the odds of it seeing play are very low. We also know how easy it is to kill minions in this game. With no immediate impact on the board, no taunt or battlecry, she's just discard garbage.
Good in Discard warlock, which apparently everyone except me loathes playing as. I am beginning to understand why I guess, feels bad to have your good cards thrown away.
there are a lot of problems with discard-lock, and since in the final reveal there was no additional support it still won't be a thing.
1) the cards are all over the place, fitting in different archetypes. the older ones are designed for zoo decks. in ungoro: clutchmother also fits best in zoo. felhound is midrange/control, same for the new legendary (and deathwing). the quest and dinomancer i can only see in heavy control.
2) that change of direction leads to the second problem: control (or a deck with strong control elements) will simply not work with random discards, a targeted discard or targeted(discover?) graveyard(resurrect and/or return-to-hand)-mechanic is absolutely necessary. control decks need specific answers for specific situations and just can't afford to discard those by accident, unless they have a way to get them back. a non-consistent control(ish) deck does not work.
if the design-team doesn't want to introduce targeted discard (or resurrect) mechanics, they should return to the zoo-approach, with enough synergetic cards that path has potential. without those changes control just doesn't, the cards would need to be ridiculously overpowered to compensate for the randomness.
i still voted playable, the card itself is good. if at some point a midrange discard deck has gotten enough support, Blood-Queen will be a part of it.
Heavy Control Discard doesn't really work/exist. All you can do is try to finish your quest as soon as possible and trying to minimize discarding valuable cards by adding/creating some you don't need. For a mid-range Discard-Tempo Warlock deck Prince Malchezaar is a must imho. He works quite well with Cruel Dinomancer. Aggro kills this deck but you can destroy control decks in return easily. Also you can use all the self-hurting Bloodbloom synergy vs. Control since they generally have not that much burst. Cho'gall into Nether Portal is quite nice. Cho'gall also works great with Sense Demons, Shadow Bolt or Blastcrystal Potion. DOOM! is also perfect for refilling your hand and works good with Nether Portal demons. A Bloodbloom + DOOM! combo midgame is quite effective vs Control too, since you can play minions on the same turn and the lost health is not a big deal vs. Control. Something like that can work:
I run something similar vs. Control and it works great. Still the randomness of discard prevents if from being viable in standard. And you auto-lose vs. aggro because of randomness and hurting yourself. Discarding any minion is not a big deal because of Cruel Dinomancer. The only thing that doesn't really work is Clutchmother Zavas with Cruel Dinomancer. Clutchmother Zavas helps a lot with the quest but if you get it from Cruel Dinomancer...idk. Maybe a second Bloodbloom or Chittering Tunneler would be better.
Anyways, Blood-Queen Lana'thel provides the needed heal vs. Control if your opponent manages to bring your hero down too fast. 2x Lakkari Felhound is sometimes not enough defense. So I think it fits perfectly in a deck like this.
How often does the deck go to fatigue? Unless you do fairly often, the case is that if you didn't run Malchezaar, any bad legendary you discard would be a more valuable card, that is true, but if you discard the legendary, you have also drawn it instead of the better card which is still in your deck. Therefore you don't have it anyway and Malchezaar is useless. Furthermore, if you don't discard a legendary, you now have it in your hand instead of the better cards.

So disappointing, because it is so boring.
12 wins in ArenA with: Mage and Paladin, first time legend with Rogue
I mean as long as you don't draw it too soon it might be ok.
But it's discardlock so...
Dust-Queen Disen'chant
Why u hav to be mad? is only card gaem.
Voted playable
Current discard cards and their payoff is not good enough, with future releases this might become a strong card.
If the word "discard" appears anywhere on the Warlock Death Knight hero card, I may very well lose my shit. In a bad way.
Please, when that happens, do let me know if you find my shit. I won't want it back, but I'd at least like to do the right thing and clean it up.

discard lock actually existed after karazhan...it was a combination of zoolock with a little bit of discard. It can still be playable
Brian Kibler said that we all are wrong and this is playable. I still don't agree.

If this gets discarded, it gets summoned, that's another story. For now, I am sorry but this is just ridiculous.

I swear there's hidden text on this card that says "if you discard a card while this is in your hand, discard this card."
