Good. Mage has way too many OP cards right now. It's not even fun to play against. They're decimating the class and i for one am glad.
Creating one card that may or may not be good (depending on the hero power) most certainly does not decimate the class. Mage didn't lose an of the "OP cards" that it has now, so the class isn't going anywhere.
I'm not sure Anomolus would work. It would work in Magic the Gathering because of last known information, but in Hearthstone Anomolus will be off the board prior to its Deathrattle trigger resolving so I'm not sure if the lifelink would trigger too? Think poisonous + fiery bat, which would also work in MtG but doesn't in HS.
I still think the card is good. If you have any elementals out at all then it turns into a massive lifeswing and if you get the turn back afterwards there's no way an aggro deck can ever win, barring going face and praying. Also, the card actually costs 5, you just have to pay for the Water Elemental too.
There's no way this is real, the effect seems terrible, the cost is too high, and wtf is that art. It's so shit. I think deathknights are supposed to be around the same cost, 6-8. But 9 is too much for a shit effect
Well... Anomalus would clear the board when he dies and Poisonous didn't worked on deathrattles (i'm not sure about that). Even if it would heal for a Reno Jackson, Anomalus would still suck because it needs to die. Meanwhile Geddon looks like a pretty reasonable card. AoE for 2, at worst heals for 2 at the end of the turn and token druid is still a thing. But it also kinda hurts that you need to pay 9 mana (propably) to get the healing from geddon other elementals.
I totally forgot Anomalus had to die. Lol. Well then it's still crap. Still a board clear with Reno effect I guess. Yeah I liked the idea of Baron. Continuous AOE with no effect to you while still hitting face. I like that it could bring him back into play again. I hate having unplayable legendaries.
This discussion about Anomalus makes me wonder: since we'll be revisiting Deathrattle mechanics in this expansion, is it possible the team will modify how Deathrattle effects trigger to take on the properties of the minion? It would open up some possibilities in terms of how Deathrattle minions are designed, as well as bring upon-death effects in line with pre-trigger effects like Feign Death and Terrorscale Stalker. And, of course, relevant to this discussion, it means Anomalus would heal you upon dying while in Frost Lich form.
I think it's plausible because of that recent announcement that the interaction between Archenai Soulpriest and the now keyword-ed Lifesteal effect is being changed, now that they're expanding on that mechanic.
I'm not gonna talk about fake or real but I'm curious why mage get benefit from elemental instead of shaman ? _?
Because Shaman isn't the only class with Elementals, duh. Mage got 3 cards to support Elemental-synergy, so why shouldn't they get another card that supports that theme?
We mages always get shafted in the legendaries and then get broken commons and epics that unleash cancer on both constructed and arena, and I am not saying this proud or happily :/

Or maybe summon an even better "token only" elemental with a possible deathrattle effect, who knows?
We will find out tomorrow when a bunch more cards get released. If any of those 3 heroes match up in mana cost alone, it will be proof the leak may be real.

I am not even sure if this is "bad". Okay, let me give my prediction. With life steal becoming a theme, there is a good chance the meta slows. If the meta slows due to people being able to refill their health then this card won't see play for a while, even though it seems like it would. I think it won't see play at first because in a slow meta with high life totals = Exodia mage will rule the day. That is until everyone runs Secret eater, at which point mage may switch to this card as a way to deal with being smorced instead.

Turn 8 Anomolus. Turn 9 Lich Jaina and sack Anomolus. Clear board and full heal. I'm not saying it's good.

Feels fake and is waaaay too high of cost to be viable. If this is true, the Hero Power change had better be amazeballs.
If this was a 5 or 6 drop, it'd be viable for a Mage Stall/Control deck. Too bad that Ele Mage is poor as piss at the moment.
