I don't think this card will be played, unless there will be a lotmore good deathrattle cards. Museum Curator saw play although not very often. Nevertheless, it is a decent card. 2 mana and discover a deathrattle card. This one costs 1 mana more, is killed by everything that causes damage and gives you a random dr-minion. Only if the Ratio of good deathrattles to mediocre deathrattles is high enough, People will play it competetively.
For Paladin some People already stated that you will get Tirion Fordring. He's a class card, so you can expect to get him more often than neutral deathrattles. But other class Cards are Selfless Hero , Primalfin Champion and Meanstreet Marshal. At present you will only get 1 out of 4 times a tirion and 3 out of 4 times a nearly useless 1 drop in case you get a class card.
And priest have some acceptable Cards with Shifting Shade , Tortollan Shellraiser and Crystalline Oracle, but with the tempo loss shallow gravedigger provides, you start to fall seriously behind and these cards do not gain it back.
Nah, in view pf the present card pool, even hunter would not play this (who at least could take some Advantage of teh aggressive stats and alwas can use carddraw.
Random effects do not have a class bonus, only discover does.
Only if the Ratio of good deathrattles to mediocre deathrattles is high enough, People will play it competetively.
This.
Aside from specific decks which might (or might not) leverage this card better, like the already mentioned Quest Priest, for the most of us it will come down to a good DR / bad DR %.
Which we'll be able to calculate only after the rest of the new cards are revealed.
So we go again ... another card which will ad a RNG card to your hand which exploit deck building rules (2x card 1x legend).
Why Blizzard just wont change game mechanic to picking hero, and then the deck will be 30 random cards from your collection ... then it will be simple, clear, and bring them so much ca$h ... :/
They've already told that we'll get tons of deathrattle minions, so I guess this card won't see any play. I only say that because we should get better deathrattle cards than this.
But of course, better DR cards make this card more viable. I don't know, we'll see.
I feel like this card might not be as bad as it seems since i think we'll see a whole lot Deathrattle this expansion which means you could get some very interesting ones, besides i feel that this could possibly be alright in N'zoth decks, that's why i think they were afraid to make it 3/2. It's not a very good card but not bad either. Though i don't think it will see any play.
To all those saying its bonkers, ask yourself if playing this is better than just including the deathrattles you want in your deck in the first place. If it had a decent body or "on your next turn discover a deathrattle minion" then we would be having a different discussion, but the amount of garbage deathrattles is way too high to justify running a card that gives a random one. Sure you will get Tirion in a game or two (out of 200), but can you afford to do that in a non-greedy control deck? Probably not. Do you wanna run this in aggro? I will keep my Vicious Fledgling thank you very much. Deathrattle Midrange deck? I'd rather put solid deathrattles on curve, then this. Stonehill Defender at least was a defensively oriented minion that could block some damage to your face and certain classes could really abuse its effect, which is why it was only played in some classes, a random card compares poorly to a discovered one, which is exactly why you don't wanna run this.
Seems good to me. Understatted, but you aren't playing this for the stats. This is a 3 mana Loot Hoarder.
Except that 3/1 stats for 3 mana is not equivalent to 2/1 for 2 mana and that you do not draw a Card from your deck but get a random DR minion (even not a discovered one)...
It would be a lot better if it was "discover" and gave you a choice, there is to many bad deathrattles, the odds of getting the good ones are slim unless this xpac floods good ones into the meta.
This is really good in arena where it will most of the time trade on curve with 2 or 3 drop and give you some extra, potentially broken, value for later. Even if they ping with hero power, it is still to mana tempo lost in early game for them, and we still get value minion in our hand.
In construced I cant relly se this have a chance, to random and to easy to clear.
This card is to Quest Priest what Shimmering Tempest is to Quest Mage: forgettable.
Quest Priest will need to rely on stronger deathrattle minions than this in order to see play. If they do focus heavily on deathrattle cards in this expansion, as they said they were, then Quest Priest could become viable... but I don't think this card will see play in such an archetype.
Random effects aren't as strong as everyone says they are. When people complain about RNG, they usually complain about Discover, which is only partially random, because ultimately the player gets to decide on the outcome. Truly random effects fall flat more often than not... especially when the pool of random cards is something broad and generally weak, such as "a random deathrattle minion".
So, essentially; this is filler. It's a card that will be a decent pick in Arena, but will be overshadowed by stronger minions in constructed.
Many may look at this and say it's bad. but this card is great N'zoth value. when you play N'zoth and shallow grave digger dies you will get another minion in your hand which is great for late game since you don't want to draw but you also need things to play!
The card is alright, good value, but for three mana might be a bit too costly to see constructed play. The RNG variance is fricking insane, not sure I like that, but I guess cards like undercity huckster were fine.
This card will be brilliant in Qeust Priest, moreso in Wild since it has some of the best Deathrattle minions in the game (think Sylvanas Windrunner or Sludge Belcher). I think since the theme of this expansion are the new hero cards, Deathrattle as well as lifesteal, we could be seeing some really cool cards that might push the Priest Quest into the Standard meta (it's already pretty good in Wild).
I am super hyped for this card.
4/5 - Very Good. This card has a lot of potential.
Not something I would put into any deck as it simply is to random. Small deathrattles or bad deathrattles (think Zombie Chow and Haunted Creeper) makes this to inconsistent to work. Until someone does the math on how likely it is to get a good deathrattle I'm voting Dust it.

This card seems extremely bad to me. It dies on ping. What if you play vs Mage? Or pirate decks?
It's true that it can give you soething OP like Tirion Forbring or Sylvanas Windrunner but what's the chance? 1 on 80?
Scarlet Crusaider is a lot better. It has a divine shield so it can't die on ping.
It sees play only in wild (deathrattle Hunter) and in quest Priest.
i'm giving it 2/10

also it has crap stats
speed, momentum, violence

I personally would rate this 3.8 stars out of 5.
Bad stats, won't see play.

Bad. Unless they make just straight up broken Deathrattle minions, I don't see this as playable. It's not even Discover a deathrattle minion.
More random shit.

It would have been so much better if it was discover a death rattle minion ...
