after see full set revealed i re visit this place and want to say : RIP Deathstalker Rexxar :(
you are my favorite DK because most unique and interesting hero power in this set but sadly hunter still not good enough to play control, midrange will never abandon steady shot because it too good when compare with 2 mana add a random beast to your hand

Once again, cool card in wrong class
It is not in wrong class.. Let's say it was in Mage, what would the HP do? Combine 2 spells? This card is really great imo and it will see play quite a bit, but I am so disappointed with the Toxic Arrow and Explosive bat. All I hoped was either a good 3/4mana weapon, a decent aoe spell or a bit of a card draw... but all we got is that crap unfortunately.
I love hunter, it is my favourite class and I don't think that control hunter will be a real threat as I thought when I first saw Deathstalker Rexxear.
Even if control hunter won't make it I still think that N'zoth hunter will be really strong especially with Arfus and even Play Dead. Also Secret hunter will be a tricky deck with the addition of Professor Putricide, one of the most underrated cards IMO.
No doubt, this is the most well designed fringe card I have ever played. I just took an N'zoth priest to fatigue and won! Building beasts takes a good measure of skill and honestly, this might be one of the funnest cards to play ever. Is it good, time will tell, but it isnt bad thats for sure.
It would be so much better if it was made for ANY CLASS BESIDES HUNTER. This can also be said about some of the other cards The Frozen Throne brings for hunter, such as Stitched Tracker.
Its Battlecry deals 2 damage to all enemy minions and gives you 5 Armor. It also changes your Hero Power to summon a "Zombeast", which is a combination of two Beasts. You can choose from the three choices for each Beast. The resulting Zombeast has mana cost, attack, health as the sum of the two chosen Beasts, as well as their abilities! You can create some really curious minions! (Angry Chicken finally finds its use! LoL) Personally I think this is the most interesting one among all new Hero Power!
The new Hero Power gives you continuous supply of minions of your choice. Pick the Beasts according to your situations. If you need to establish defend, make beasts with Taunt. If the opponent has minions with high health, makes Poisonous Zombeast. If the opponent's health is low, look for Charge to finish him/her off!
p.s. The other player in this video used Mage's Hero card: Frost Lich Jaina. Its Battlecry summons a Water Elemental for her, gives all her Elementals Lifesteal for the remaining game, and gives her 5 Armor. Her ability becomes: deals 1 damage, and if this kills the minion, summon a Water Elemental.
Her Elementals indeed did a lot of healing. Fortunately, my unending supply of massive Zombeasts overran her Elementals and killed her eventually. ;)
I could not make the premade deck work. Here is the deck I used:
### Control Hunter # Class: Hunter # Format: Standard # Year of the Mammoth # # 2x (1) Hunter's Mark # 2x (1) On the Hunt # 2x (2) Explosive Trap # 2x (2) Freezing Trap # 2x (2) Grievous Bite # 1x (2) Toxic Arrow # 1x (2) Venomstrike Trap # 2x (3) Animal Companion # 2x (3) Deadly Shot # 2x (3) Eaglehorn Bow # 2x (3) Kill Command # 2x (3) Stitched Tracker # 2x (4) Houndmaster # 2x (5) Explosive Shot # 1x (6) Deathstalker Rexxar # 2x (6) Savannah Highmane # 1x (8) Primordial Drake # AAECAR8EyccCncwCmM0ChtMCDY0BqAKKA7UDhwTJBOsHxQjtCf4M6asChsMC080CAA== # # To use this deck, copy it to your clipboard and create a new deck in Hearthstone
turns out every deck with this card wins 44% of the time if this is played on turn 8(and considered "best").. on the other hand if this card is never played the deck wins 50.3% of the time..
if this card is played AT all the deck WR gets 14% lower..
I don't know who play test KFT cards but he did a VERY bad job on druid and hunter cards.
With the Witchwood Expansion buff to Deathstalker Rexxar (the Build-A-Beast pool will include beasts from KnC and WW and all expansions henceforth), does anyone know if they shall exclude Witchwood Grizzly because it fits in both pools (battlecry/deathrattle and keyword/vanilla pools) like they did with King of Beasts?
I'm excited to use Vicious Scalehide and Swamp Leech and maybe finally have a proper Control Hunter with enough sustain.
Pretty happy with the very controlly cards we got as well. Though I am still pretty worried about card draw, especially with a few of our main removal options being two card set ups.

I'm having a lot of fun with this card, good job Blizzard!

I KNOW RIGHT
I'm excited to use Vicious Scalehide and Swamp Leech and maybe finally have a proper Control Hunter with enough sustain.
It's got 4 lines of text so I doubt it will turn up in the pool, or any zombeasts with have 5 lines minimum
