As if trying to put together a counter to the crystal cunt quest is not hard enough if you don't like playing face/aggro decks, the experience of having no fucking chance, no matter what I do, was further degraded by the fact that apparently, your minions will be 5/5 does not apply to Edwin. So, in addition to the 20/20 on the board, there was also a nice fat 15/15 Edwin to deal with? I have attached a screenshot. Is this a glitch or does the OP 5/5 bullshit not apply to Edwin? And in either case, how can this be good for the new players experience to get constantly butt plugged with no hope of countering, except to craft the rogue quest, because quest rogue is much more prevalent in the lower ladder rungs?
Mate, this Rogue quest mechanic is totally retarded. Minions get buffs but cannot be silenced or transformed. Who the retarded fuck designed this shit?

Chill. Play Pirate Warrior if you hate quest rogue so much. If you hate pirate warrior play any aggro deck, if you hate aggro wait till the next expansion/nerf. I think Quest Rogue is a problem, and will get nerfed/ pushed out of the meta next expansion. Patience.
I started to play Wild to get rid of that shit but I encountered them many times even there. I have been playing Pirate Warrior and Secret Mage recently.
He is playing jade druid which has an abysmal match up against quest rogue. edit: wait you are talking about the one above you.. still PW isn't as scummy as it used to be.
I don't like quest rogue it's too oppressive way too fast and depends too much on how good you draw it's like pirate warrior in MSG at least now if you want to counter pirate warrior you can(golakka crawler, the new ooze), if you want to counter paladin you can too (the black knight, hungry crab)
But QR is match up and luck dependent that's why I don't like this quest it's less about it's actual power, also QR mechanic is very annoying mechanically it highly favors the rogue player, hex, polymorph and silence should work against that so you can tech as a priest with mass dispel for example.
The tech against that is playing a fast deck or a deck that can constantly board clear or get lucky he runs out of stuff/draws badly, which is bad for the game.

1. The Rogue quest is fine, not our problems that you are playing a deck that has a bad matchup against it. Play something which has a good matchup against it or at least don't whine when you are playing a deck that has a bad matchup against it.
2. There are counters... everything ranging from freeze mage to aggressive decks, taunt warrior, Dirty Rat, priest running Mana Wraith (the last one I have tried myself and it works wonderfully well... only problem is that you need a Power Word: Shield to make it work reliably but otherwise, works wonderfully). So yah', there are more counters than just aggressive decks... quite a few actually but yes Quest-Rogue does in fact punish greedier decks by its design which is not a bad thing per say.
3. How do you deal with a 15/15 Edwin VanCleef? By not playing Druid. Genuinely... Druid doesn't do well against single big things or a board full of really high health minions so ... don't play Druid... or make your deck worse by running cards like Naturalize.
So onto the final thing I need to explain, how Crystal Core actually works as you don't seem to understand it: Crystal Core turns all of your minion in play, hand and deck into 5/5s. If your minion is transformed by i.e. Hex it functions as a new minion and thus' it gets reset back to a 5/5 Taunt as opposed to a 0/1 Taunt. In addition to this it only checks when the original buff goes away. This is why Silence doesn't work against it but Humility, Keeper of Uldaman and other such effects do in fact work.
So why does Edwin get buffed? Because he's naturally a 5/5 minion in your hand and when he enters the field, he gets his +2/+2 effect put onto him. Same reason why cards like Cold Blood works as it doesn't remove the original Crystal Core-buff from the card but rather just adds another buff onto it.
This is at this point in time common knowledge and if you are going to go around being exceptionally rude... may I suggest you go HERE instead? Its a place where folks don't mind the uncontrolled venting that goes on as long as one isn't harassing other users... basically, it genuinely belongs more in the Salty Thread.
Kinda think your shitting on the OP here, he wasn't rude if he was generalising, maybe don't take things personally when it wasn't directed at you?
I think while the OP is tilted to be fair a bad match should not mean unwinnable. And QR is almost auto win against control decks unless the draw utter shit which is very hard to do... Unless you literally get all 8 bounces in the last 8 cards of your deck and those odds are insanely low.
So saying play something else is kind of bs. Skill even with an unfavourable matchup should still have a decent chance... Not be a 1/10 matchup do extreme circumstance.
That's the problem with quest rogue. Not that it's unbeatable or even has a strong we overall. Teching against a specific deck should not mean playing a specific archetype with a specific class. Which is what QR is causing in the meta.
Chill. Play Pirate Warrior if you hate quest rogue so much. If you hate pirate warrior play any aggro deck, if you hate aggro wait till the next expansion/nerf. I think Quest Rogue is a problem, and will get nerfed/ pushed out of the meta next expansion. Patience.
This is literally the dumbest answer I've ever read.
What you literally said summarised is... "Play aggro or don't play the game".

No, this guy is whining. I only play N'Zoth Paladin and I don't complain about quest rogue. If you want to beat quest rogue all the time you need to play aggro, or you can wait for the next expansion. Or you can do what I do which is play control and hope to not que into quest rogue.

Players shouldn't have to wait for the next expansion though. The fact is, just the presence of quest rogue and to a lesser extent jade druid in the meta completely kills the win percentage of just about any deck with a late game strategy. The amount of other decks that would become viable if these two archetypes didn't exist is huge.
Other than the fact that quest rogue pigeon holes the meta, the OP is also justified in "whining" because what you don't seem to realise is that it shouldn't be up to the players to get around balancing problems by playing the game in a way they don't enjoy; it's up to blizzard to balance the game in such a way as to make it fun for everyone.
I honestly didn't think blizzard could possibly come up with a dumber "in the box win condition" mechanic than jades, but the rogue quest 110% takes the cake.
As I said in my originally comment I think quest rogue is an issue, but no, Jades and Quest rogue don't kill Control. What kills those two? Aggro, what kills aggro? Control. It is a balanced meta. I think it is actually very good meta, but I would love to see Jade Idol and the Caverns Below nerfed a bit.
Your right the OP is incredibly hasty but really... cut some slack you're not the forum god.
Also, you contradict yourself multiple times saying that card games are math not skill yet math is a skill, then proceed to say polarization happens in cards games go play chess if you want finite outcomes, but guess what, chess is a math game and the more you know and can memorize the better you'll do, also skill.
A quest rogue missing bounces is luck, not a polarization of meta or skill. When you play your QR deck on T4 when you complete you quest do you spend the next 75secs calculating if your going to play crystal core turn 5 for the best outcome? You need to get serious brother and not run your mouth.
TL:DR a wall of text and regurgitated anecdotes doesn't make you right. It makes you arrogant.
All minions stats are changed to 5/5. So Edwin was a 2/2, becomes a 5/5. Due to his battlecry he gains 10/10. If he was a 2/2 he'd be a 12/12, now he's 5/5 so he becomes 15/15. I think Edwin is a badly designed minion but this works as is intended.

It does apply to edwin he starts as a 5/5 then with his battlecry gains extra stats.
I hate quest rogue that's the main reason I am playing aggro ATM (I prefer midrangy decks but fine)

You dare complain about Quest Rogue as a Pirate Warrior? Muthatrucka

The problem with Quest Rogue decks is that what counters them are equally as annoying to fight. Le sigh

Rogue Quest is all fucked up, I don't know what are they waiting for, they definitely have to do something about it.
A jade druid salty about skipping t1-4 to make obscene value plays? Lulz.
