Brawl is RNG-based (hello, major defining tenant of Hearthstone). That fact alone helps justify this card's mechanic. Given that the two main situations you'd use this spell are 1.) removal of your opponent's board when you have no/one minion on the board, and 2.) chance removal of a major threat when there are 1 or more minions surrounding it on either side of the board, the card remains too situational to be a problem.
I prefer aggro decks and I love to play Hunter, so Brawl is my nemesis, but I think it's a really well-crafted card on Blizzard's part, and it helps balance out the game, giving Warrior class an interesting removal that can easily backfire if not used right, and even then it can backfire (I've won a number of matches when my 7-beast board was cleared by brawl and all that was left was my Hyena, gaining it 12 damage!).
This isn't an OP card, it's just powerful when used the right way.

The entire Warrior class needs a serious overhaul. The strength of Brawl is a symptom, not a cause. Warrior has a long, ridiculous history of overpowered class cards to make up for its shitty hero power, and the class's reliance on weapons -- which are themselves a very poorly designed mechanic -- only makes matters worse. It's just not going to get better if they keep nerfing scapegoats instead of admitting the class itself is the real problem.

I love how people say just play around brawl- how? If you play big threats one at at time they get slammed or executed. Little guys one at a time? FieryWinAxe. Play around it by not using any minions? Just play freeze/combo mage? come on.
i can see why it gets annoying for a warrior. When i'm playing Hunter against a Warrior, and having a bunch of beast and one hyena, i just love when the brawl card arrive and my hyena survive :D usually he/she concede just after ^^ happened to me quite often. But it can ruin me as well and lose all my tempo and then i concede.

No. Brawl is just great.
The best part about Brawl is that due to how cheap it is you can combo it with other effects, like Dirty Rat or Sylvannas for instance. Depending on how well the deck it is in can take advantage of Brawl situations the more powerful it becomes. The card is incredibly good in general due to the ability for most control style Warrior decks to manipulate the board state with it along with other cards, but I don't think it needs to be nerfed. It is probably Warrior's best card though.
Enter the Colisseum I think was intended to be used as a way to combat board spam aggro since theoretically all of their minions are similar size so they will be left with one mediocre minion. Unfortunately the fact it costs 6, along with most of the best decks during its existence not being board spam (more like Aggro/Mid-Range Shaman and Pirate Warrior) meant it was just poorly positioned.
it should go to hall of fame as is simply the best board clear in relation of mana cost/ synergies with other cards. This way warrior could use the other board clears that have.
Brawl should cost 3 because Aggro Druids, Murloc Paladin, Pirate Warrior and other aggro shit can kill in turn 4.
Brawl should be like this: Destroy all minions except 1 random minion from your opponent. Can not be cast when you have no minions in play.
ALways warriors play 1 stupid minion and they win the brawl, this should prevent that ridiculous game turn and they have to at least have 1 minion so that if they dont, they still use their entire turn to clear most of the currently threatening board. It is way too much used and it has an overall winrate of 60%!!!! in warrior currently.. 1 card wins 60%..
