When you play getaway kodo and a minion dies with the deathrattle from spirit echoes, the secret doesn't activate. Can someone explain what's going on. I'm pretty sure this is a glitch because, in order for the deathrattle to activate, the minion must die. Which satisfies the condition of getaway kodo.
Spirit echo give a minion the deathrattle "return this minion to your hand". When the minion dies the minion is then returned to your hand. Then the secret would go off however the minion is already in your hand. I assume it doesn't activate because then it would simply do nothing.
I assume since it's the same effect, the first one (Spirit Echoes) triggers first since it's attached to the minion, where the Secret triggers after the minion's events are completed (including all deathrattles). Since Echoes already triggered, there is no minion left to trigger Kodo. No bug imo.

All "on death" effects are queued simultaneously, in the order they were originally played. In the case of this example, I'm guessing Spirit Echo was played before Getaway Kodo.
A secret can be "untriggered" and removed from the queue if its target becomes invalid. As CrovaxTheCursed said, the minion was no longer "headed to the graveyard" when it was time to resolve Getaway Kodo, so the secret untriggered itself.

Great explanation, you did a better job than me. It's a similar situation when say a Redemption is played before an Avenge. I believe if Redemption was played first, the minion resurrects before Avenge triggers. Likewise if the Avenge was played first, the buff would occur before the resurrection. Same thing with Potion of Polymorph and Mirror Entity I believe.
