So on the first day on Un'goro, I went in extremely excited to start up a hunter quest deck as for the weeks leading up, the hype that the Marsh Queen was going to be meta defining/borderline broken got me pumped. With that in mind, I immediately crafted a golden Hunter quest card and hopped into standard with my deck. About 15 or so matches later, I realized that it wasn't as good as everyone was making out to be. It wasn't bad but, at the same time, wasn't meta defining as speculation made it seem.
Now that it's been over a week since the xpac came out, is anyone else having any type of regret on crafting their quest cards/class legendaries that they thought were going to be good, but turned out to be sub-par/crap?
Listen, you really should've known better. Imprint this into your brain: Remember how Troggzor and dr Boom were previewed. Do not listen to hype. Everyone is terrible at predicting meta and card power.
I was merely a fool :( sometimes you just never learn and the hype is too real. Oh well, I won't let it go to waste.
I regret crafting Spiritsinger Umbra. He is a cool card, but doesnt really work in any decks im playing right now. In a couple months when i get bored with standard i will take him to Wild and use him, but for now i could have crafted something else
I haven't tried it, but the list I use doesn't have room for it. I only run one preparation, and by the time I would be able to complete the quest, spending 5 mana can be really clunky with a full hand. I would need to scratch two cards, one for the quest, and another for a second preparation in order to justify it.
I find that hunters are my toughest match. Secret Paladins and Quest Priests, however, are my bread and butter :)
Don't really have any regrets yet but I might have a future one I have a golden corpse flower I am thinking of disenchanting for the warrior or Mage quest but I feel like if I do it I will be regretful the artwork of corpse flower is very nice Sherazin, Corpse Flower
Keep it. Sherazin is tons of fun and is seeing play. I have a golden one too!
Open the Waygate. A golden one. I actually love the concept but I can't combo it for anything because everyone is playing the aggro fuckfest. Again. And now I can't even get some wins against control because most control decks are dead, thanks to Jade idols. Fuck this game.
They do, I have played against a few with my Lyra Miracle deck, not the strongest quest as Amara isn't a win condition but only a stall, N'Zoth is a bit surprising but if they play too many deathrattle minions and don't get Cairne back they are dead in the water as most of the other deathrattle minions are lackluster and can be cleared fairly easily with a decent board clear (volcano, blizzard, dragonfire potion, WW/sleep with the fishes, or a decent board to trade with). The quest does ok in a deathrattle/reno style deck with Amara acting as your reno and utilizing Kazakus potion and/or N'Zoth as a finisher but it is really slow and stumbles against faster pirate or quest rogue
That being said I only crafted Rogue, Warrior, and shaman quest. I was lucky enough to snag mage and warlock from packs (mage is a fun and challenging deck to play and warlock I have had some fun messing around with but it is in no way competitive, imo at least). Will not craft pala or hunter quest as they never really appealed to me from reveal. Only regret craft I have is Pyros which I did on a whim (and because ele mage looked like fun) but after getting trounced a bunch while playing the deck I feel Pyros will now just sit unplayed in my collection.
I regretted the murloc quest at first but the deck is really fun to play (and kinda strong in some respects), it is like a stronger version of Neptulon which a lot of the time is usable by the same turn or earlier.
I am lucky enough to have a good real-life friend who is a Hearthstone Pro, and he buys a lot of packs, so I held onto my 8k dust and spectated him. He made every quest, except Warlock, and played around quite a lot. This gave me a good insight on the current state of meta. After waiting for a week, I crafted Warrior Quest, Kalimos, Elise 2.0 (for fun), VanCleef and 2x Prep (to play Miracle and Thief Rogue). Now, I am contemplating crafting Rogue Quest (good chances it'll get nerfed and so I'll get my dust back).
So far, no regrets :)
PS: The URGE to craft and play decks was irresistible and the 1-week wait was EXCRUCIATINGLY PAINFUL.
I am a pally player first and foremost. I crafted some pally stuff and played with Pally primarily this fist week. I also crafted a little for taunt warrior because it looks fun. I haven't made much else so far and I have not regretted any of the things I have crafted because I intend to play Paladin regardless.
No way rogue quest gets nerfed. It's not THAT strong because it is counterable quite easily. Pretty much any aggro deck destroys quest rogue, and so does mage unless you run the coldlights list and mill them of some precious resources

Sherazin is your win condition against taunt warrior as miracle.

There is no cancer deck in hearthstone ! You are the Cancer !
I don't have regrets honestly. The only ones I crafted were Kalimos, the Warlock quest and Clutchmother, the latter two aren't as amazing as everyone was anticipating, but I still like them and enjoy building Zoo/discardlocks which both revolve and don't revolve around them. I like Kalimos a lot too. I'm not much of a ladder grinder, so I enjoy just having fun where I can.
That being said, I only pulled the Mage and Shaman quests as far as Legendaries go, and I'm not big on either of those.

If you wanna have fun, then I would suggest Elise the Trailblazer. Such a fun card :D
I opened quests for Paladin, Warlock, Druid and Shaman (4 of my 6 total legendaries).
So far I've crafted: The Voraxx thinking he'd be good for the Paladin quest, and maybe played him once before I gave up than deck. That was a waste. Sunkeeper Tarim because I play mostly pally, but have not even used him in a deck yet since I've been kicking butt with murlocs Clutchmother Zavas because I get a warlock daily and wanted try the quest. I went 5-0 in casual with the deck, but never got to see the potential of this card Hemet, Jungle Hunter for holy wrath>molten shenanigans. A lot of fun, but not overly successful.
There's also the fact that just because cards aren't that strong right now, doesn't mean they will stay that way. The paladin quest could be the strongest after next expansion. Always ways to help/adjust the quests in the future! Patience is a virtue :)
So far the only legendaries I've crafted are the Warrior quest since I'm 50 wins away from golden and Kalimos because he is a cool card. 2 Blaze Callers as well. No regrets on any of those. Everything else I'm waiting on the meta to shake out to see how better to spend my 10,000 remaining dust.

Quest Priests LUL, do they even exists?
I will crush you!
Very much so, we're talking about playing mill rogue (the best lists are exclusively wild now).
Warlock quest plus the new legendary for warlock was the biggest waste of 3200 dust FML

When life gives you lemons, trade'em for limes and get some Coronas!
