Go play something else if you are tired of seeing the same show on repeat. Tell me if you've heard this one. New expansion ---> one deck rules the roost (plug in Quest Rogue) and then the only way to beat it is super aggro then the super control comes out to clean up the super aggro and then the Quest rogue will come back and on and on the wheel spins until the next expansion when everyone will forget exactly what occurred the last expansion.
I play wild. more variety. less chance that you have to deal with rock, paper, scissors as often. (at least in my opinion).

"It's a real insult to people who try". - Jon Benjamin. When asked about getting a record contract for not being able to play an instrument (and the current Druid decks in standard).
Slow decks are bad against it. Aggro eats it alive most of the time. Every decks and class isnt 50/50 against every other deck. Never will be, never should be.
I made the Rogue quest, not expecting it to be good, because I had the extra dust and don't play Hearthstone much anymore. I figured that if it was bad I wouldn't care. Pleasantly surprised though
If Rogue completes the quest within 4-6 turns they have already won. Shadowstep at 0 mana seems too op. Moroes giving 5/5 stats seems better than warlock quest if you can't remove it.
The quest itself buffs minions on board which is insane. 1 mana 5/5 chargers hitting face and if played again can deal 10 damage to face. Why is there a pyroblast in this game at 10 mana if you can do this with the charge minion. So the counter is aggro and end the game quickly
Dirty Rat's been working quite good for me (at scrub ranks atm tho), against Rogue and Mage quests...
Nope don't worry, that's definitely the correct tech at the moment. It's a 2/6 taunt which is solid against aggro. It disrupts control/combo by pulling out combo pieces (including for Quest Rogue), and against Murloc Shaman you can pull out Megafin which is pretty much your only chance of winning. On a side note, Murloc Shaman is actually by far the worst matchup for a control deck btw due to their inability to assemble enough AoE+hard removal to deal with 10 freaking minions swarming the board within 3 turns. The only problem is that Dirty Rat can flop if you pull out a Savannha Highmane but that's the risk you take by teching a 2 mana 2/6 taunt.
My opponent disconnected for 3 turns. I knew that after he come there is still a chance for him so i was applying the same pressure i would if he didnt disconnect. He came back and completed his quest in one turn and i lost.
How the fuck was that even possible? And no im not rank 15 player....
How do you beat a deck that outvalues you by turn 5/6, plays no heal, no taunts and very little removal?
Spoiler:
An aggressive deck that kills your opponent BEFORE turn 5/6....and oh wonder, it already exists: Pirate warrior counters quest rouge, nobody can figure that out themselves and instead have to open 25 threads how OP and BROKEN the quest is?
Seriously? Only because 1 (cancer) deck can beat this new broken deck, you made a conclusion that it is not broken??

<snip> If it can be crushed by aggro deck, it doesn't mean it's not OP.
It doesnt have to be an aggro deck. Every deck with sufficient minion pressure till turn 6 would do the job. I m having much success playing my jade rogue against quest rogue, which is in general a slow deck.
The guy above me is right, you can defeat rogue quest with jades. Just keep spamming them and clearing his little minions and later you can just finish him off with feral rage/swipe/druid of the claw charge
Quest rogue is not that amazing overall. I mean, it's insane when you draw needed cards early but in typical match you would probably need to fight to pull off your combo. Also, the deck archetype relies on that combo.
The most frustrating thing for me is that whenever I play my elemental shaman (only deck I can build from 50$ preorder) I get matched vs rogue constantly. Then I get mad, switch to pirate warrior, ready to make quest rogues feel bad and then I get matched vs taunt warriors, murloc shamans or quest mages... Then I feel bad...

If you managed to lose when your opponent passed 3 turns and applied anything resembling pressure (as you claim), then your deck must suck beyond belief. The only way you can lose if your opponent misses 3 turns, even if it was the most powerful deck in the history of Hearthstone (see: Patron Warrior) is if you played the greediest of control decks or used inefficient minions that can't apply enough pressure. Even if you're a legend player and not a rank 15 like you claim (btw at legend Quest Rogue is dead now and nobody plays it), managing to lose a game where your opponent goes afk for 3 straight turns is embarrassing.
So what? Dirty rat only works in certian decks.... Its not like ooze where you can put it everywhere you want.
See your quote above, whatever deck you built is complete garbage and it's your own fault for playing it. How you managed to lose a game where your opponent passed 3 turns is beyond me, but it's not the Quest Rogue being OP, it's your own failure.

There's plenty of ways for multiple playstyles to take it down. You can go full Aggro with Pirate Warrior, Murloc Shaman, Murloc Paladin etc and kill them before they can even play Crystal Core. You can play a fast Midrange/Tempo deck that applies pressure and forces them to use removal instead of their bounce combos like Midrange Hunter or Discard Zoo, I haven't tried tempo Mage yet, but in theory they should be able to apply pressure between Mana Wyrm, Sorcerer's Apprentice etc, and even cuck Crystal Core with Counterspell. You can even take it on with some control decks, such as taunt Warrior with Dirty Rat teched in, Handlock with Defender of Argus onto Ancient Watcher/the new plant that can't attack. Some slow greedy decks like Priest, Mage, Paladin etc get run over by Quest Rogue, but pretty much every deck has it's bad matchups and it's not like this is Justicar Warrior vs Freeze Mage levels of stomp.
I have been running handbuff elemental paladin with Sunkeeper Tarin and if I well draw I can often out tempo them and conscecrate to clean up their 1/1's. Have like an 85% winrate against them.
I have never called for a nerf before and I've thought many of them have been unneeded. However the rogue quest is so obviously broken, I honestly wonder if they forgot to test it.
The problem isn't that you lose. It's that you have almost no control over it. Nothing I do will win me a game where on turn five his board is full of 5/5's and his hand isn't even empty. Even if I cleared that board, it would be back the next turn, perhaps charging back.
Sure, the rogue COULD not draw the right combo, but that has nothing to do with my playing. Not fun. Not interactive.
Its exactly what Blizzard says they don't like.
Get on it guys. You screwed the pooch on this one. Fix it.

Shaku, the Collector gave me the Plague
The Rouge quest is definitely the turd in the Un Goro punch bowl but that's Blizz for you.
Too bad because the rest of the expansion is pretty fun. But yeah, it is pretty much ruining the ladder experience for alot of people.

If every deck is rogue deck, then what's fun? We should get option to ban decks too. It gets boring watching same sequence\cards\combos repeatedly.
Gotta love the freaking out over Rogue.
Are these the same guys who bitch while playing a Coin, Mana Wyrm and Mirror Image on turn one?
How many of you are playing Pirate Warrior or played Reno Mage or Dragon Priest for the millionth time?
How many of you guys laughed your way to the bank while spamming Imps with Warlock?
