Holy shit Exodia mage is so broken. I've been win streaking against every kind of deck. There's just so much stall and I regularly draw all the way down to the bottom of my deck, often with a hand of 8-10 cards. It's cool that the deck can be played so many different ways as well. Instead of waiting for the OTK, I managed to wear a hunter down and pyroblast him for the win. This is far better than freeze mage ever was and I love the chance element of it with the randomly generated spells. Reminds me of my favourite rogue archetype with all the thief cards.
I love the deck, It is very rare that u get the combo. but when u got it, WOW! its just Amazing. And the feeling, to change a complete game with 1 HP is awesome. Never Surrender! U always have a chance and surprice your oponend with a godly combo.
Thats how Hearthstone or any cardgame are supposed to work. No Boring Face Shit. - Long 30 minute Games that are Thrilling and close, Thats awesome <3 (p.s. No its not an OP deck, cause u need to cycle through your complete deck, need lucky draws too, and need perfect discovers to surviva long enaugh - In addition is very easy to counter, if u as an enemy know how the Exodia deck works., (eater of secrets, kezan mystik, counterspell, iceblock, overdraw with coldlight, eye for an eye, Dirtyrat, fatigue)

I agree with this. I've lost a bunch of games from aggro decks but also from a taunt warrior pulling my Antonidas with Dirty Rat. I think the matchup actually gets more interesting when you're rushed down and have to make plays instead of waiting for the combo or you get stuff burned or pulled by the opponent. It's very satisfying pulling off wins that you shouldn't have been able to make.

Totally agree, its all in all a super interesting deck. Against all the faster decks I usually end up going all in with 2-3 girls at some point. However with the hand full of spells this is actually such an strong tempo play, that there is a pretty good chance of winning still. What I like is that every game gives you new little puzzles to find a way to pull a win. Got 2 Pyroblasts? Maybe change the plan from combo to just assault the face.
One of my most satisfying events was against a rogue to pull a counterspell from the glyph and destroy the quest reward the next turn. Afterwards just sitting back and pinging them 1/1's, Feelsgoodman.
I've lost to this quite a few times due to the zero mana fireballs. I wouldn't mind the win condition if you couldn't have infinite damage. Tank Up used to be enough to survive the final freeze Mage burst, and with Amara, you'd think that 40 health and a board full of minions would be enough, but you lose anyway.
I thought that Blizz wanted to stop supporting decks that feel like this. I get that having the whole combo doesn't come on turn 10 every game, but like the warrior otk deck, it feels like you are just playing against his draw. Not an actual deck or minions. Can he stall... yes... you lose. No reasonable amount of health or armor can save you (I had a game with 30hp and 50armor he had 1 hp for 3 turns) . And between at least 2 frost novas, 2 ice blocks, 2 blizzards, 2 doomsayers, and never mind all the spells you generate through cabalist tomb, the glyph, the minion, it doesn't seem hard to stay alive long enough. I played a guy with 4 ice blocks.... wtf do you do without having a secret eater.
Yeah I'm honestly shocked that this deck is allowed to exist. I've had four Ice Blocks before and I regularly get at least three. My friend even had five. There's a lot of decks that counter it through quick face damage or not needing a board to finish you off (hunter for example), but I've stalled a priest for 7 turns while I was at 1 health with no Ice Block up, eventually winning the game
Lost 2 times in a row to 0mana fireballs as priest. Any tips beside secret eater? If it's stats where at least reasonable I'd take one. But I don't want to weaken my deck for just this one opportunity.
Another card I could tech in? In the second match he had 1 hp and draw the last card in his extra turn. I even used a doomsayer on my own 6 minions because I sniffed his combo. But he just drew another iceblock when I used mindblast the next turn.

Dirty Rat.
I played a ton of exodia mage, it's a blast, butf dirty rat obliterates it if played correctly. Waiting until they are 1 or two spells away from the quest requirement is the best time to play it, as there is a better chance you pull sorcerers or archmage.
Dirty rat also can completely screw over the rogue quest, and slow down the warrior quest. It's almost an auto include in this expansion. I'm currently sitting @ legend with my priest with dirty rat techs. Try it out.

Like others have said, Dirty Rat is good as you can save it for later and combo with SW:D to kill Antonidas. It is also useful against quest rogue and other aggro decks. Another potential card could be Coldlight Oracles for when the mage gets to 9 cards in his hand to force him to burn two on his next turn. I find it hard to deal with Inner Fire priest but even running something like a pyromancer can make a mage overdraw and either burn cards or be forced to play them in a less than optimal way.
EDIT: By the pyro comment I meant making them overdraw with Acolyte
This card is not that OP, but where is the uniqness in desks mages? Its like there is one clerver person to come up with the ide of the deck setup and rest is just follow because its fun result. (If you succeed)
Am I the only one trying to have fun on my own? :) (not follow someone else)

Wait a fucking minute here..... long games that are thrilling? And close? What the hell are you talking about? Its the most boring, ball-numbing, brainless deck ever in the history of HS and thats saying a lot. Its 100% NON-interactive. It requires ZERO thought and there isnt anything meaningful either player does for about 20 turns. Then, you pop infinite fireballs at zero cost. Soooooo thrilling. I suppose there are people that find cutting their lawn by hand with tweezers "thrilling" too. its a free country after all.
Please tell me you're joking here. You MUST be! It isnt possible for a fully developed human to call this atrocity of a deck "thrilling".
Lets review how *thrilling* it is:
Play quest card. Remove. Loot Hoarder. Remove. Freeze. Remove. Freeze. Ice Barrier. Ice Block 1 of 5. Blizzard. Doomsayer. Blizzard 2 of at least 2. Ice Barrier. Removal. More Ice Blocks, back to back. Cabalists tome which amazingly pulls 2 more ice blocks and another Freeze spell. Blizzard Again. Meanwhile, the other player has made dinner, folded laundry, jerked off, watched an episode of some Netflix show and possibly shaved their genitals too. Back to the game - Oh wait.... 2-3 more ice blocks. Then another Blizzard. Quest complete Game Over. So thrilling. Right.

Play N'oths First Mate. Attack with weapon. attack with patches. Just go face. Summon other pirates. just go face. Win by turn 5 by just going face.
But sure.... THIS mage deck is the most "brain dead deck" in existence....You truly didn't think before typing that comment... Facepalm.
I tried the Anronidas/Apprentice combo and I did it !!!
I'll try this deck to check how solid is.......but is fun...

WaifuJanna- Main Jaina, Jaina is love, Jaina is life! Solarian Prime best Waifu!
Rogue now is totally retarded, please nerf this stupid quest.

Thx guys. I will try to tech a rat in

Agree with every single word.
I hoped that this card would never take off. Not only it did, but Molten Reflection gave it a reliable way to OTK. And I thought Freeze Mage was bad!
Custom cards :
CLASSES : Alchemist (CCC#5 | Phase V) | Chef (CCC#4)
EXPANSIONS : Year of the Scorpion (Year Comp)
not interactive but not that op
Always rank 1 but never legend :'c

I win due to skill and lose due to bad RNG. :D
Basically this card is...
G=Good B=Bad Do you see the pattern? Every second expansion is always trash.
G: Goblins V Gnomes , Old Gods, unguro
B: TGT, gadgetzan, Knights (Unreleased so MAYBE)
