With the Jade Mechanic being so stupid, they can't really afford to give Druid any good cards right now.
Sort of said this in my last post but can go again. Jade doesn't have a good winrate. It shapes the meta but doesn't dominate it.
The thing is they could have given us viable strong Beast Druid or Token Druid cards and it'd have had no impact on Jade whatsoever. This is just lazy. The quest better be bloody good or this'll be the first expansion I don't actually play Druid.
Ok for a legendary it is boring, I would have preferred if it was just an ordinary minion. But I have to say I like it, I know people are saying stuff like BGH, but the fact that it is a 12/12 with can't be targeted by spells or hero powers means that it is actually quite difficult to deal with if you do not have an immediate answer. If you are ahead this can help you close out the game and if the board is empty than this is a card that is going to need a response. At least unlike soggoth the slitherer which is a card I do like even though I know it is not that good, this card is actually well costed for the ability.
Unfortunately the downside is if you play this and it gets immediately answered, than you just used your entire turn for nothing. However there are ways you can cheat this out such as in wild you can use the aviana/ kun combo and get an absolutely disgusting board presence in the process, or use the barnes/ y'shaarj combo to try and get it out on turn 4 and pile heaps of pressure on your opponent. This is also a really good beast for ram wrangler to create.
Overall despite how boring it is as a legendary, I do like it because the stats do match the mana cost and it is a simple card. Unfortunately it is probably too slow for constructed unless you are able to cheat it out. But we'll see if there are more ways to potentially abuse this.

This is the kind of stupid thinking that will only lead to bad things in the future. The legendary cards introduced can afford to be strong provided they don't boost already powerful existing archetypes. Prime example is Kun the Forgotten King who is a powerful card that isn't run by Jade, because it isn't really needed in that deck. This card is very generic (in both art and effect, which is not what a legendary should aspire to be) although I will admit that it seems to be strong, especially in meme decks, which I personally enjoy so I don't mind it too much as long as the quest is interesting. However, I still think they could have done a much better job than this. At least with cards like Soggoth the Slitherer you could tell the card was aimed at control decks, looking to shut down more aggressive decks, whereas this card seems like its not to be used in any non-meme decks (it has a decent amount of weaknesses on top of doing nothing the turn you play it).
I actually like it. Hard to play but pretty big impact once on the board. Makes you think how you can make use of it instead of just being auto-include
Right now I think that this will see play only if the Druid quest or other supporting cards either makes it easier to cheat out big minions or with more strong Beast synergy.

Hurr hurr durr durr "could be anything" holy sheep man it's only obvious. Quest is going to be adapt beasts x amount of times, reward adapt your beasts at the end of your turn forever after playing the quest.
They've been trying to push beast druid for ages, with beast adapting this would be the set to do it.
I'll screenshot this so that we can all laugh at it when the quest gets revealed. :)

As it stands now, this card is somewhere between "dust it" and "bad". A 10 mana card that doesn't affect the board is unplayable, period. If druid doesn't get any kind of help making this card better, it's never seeing play.
By your definition, N'zoth is unplayable. You don't need to kill stuff to affect the board.
Untargetable 12/12 beast does affect the board significantly.
N'zoth doesn't affect the board? You should probably read the card text. And btw, n'zoth (which is actually a good card) is too slow to play atm.
No, untargetable 12/12 does jack shit to affect the board, your opponent can just ignore it and go face because druid doesn't have a punish. Afraid of getting killed? Play a taunt, problem solved.
I'm just going to click the ignore button whenever someone uses that "ignore it and go face" argument. I have 0 interest in discussing anything with someone who doesn't (know how to) play control.
You don't play a 10 drop when your opponent can go face and kill you, thanks for the tip bro.
And btw, N'zoth isn't too slow to play atm, L2P control.
I play control exclusively, mostly ramp and combo ramp druids to legend, and this card is trash as it is. If you're playing control you're already at a board disadvantage most games vs aggro and faster decks, which is why cards like ancient of war is good to recover board presence. Even Y'shaarj has a high chance of turning the board around due to its continuous ramping effect which presents a bigger threat (what I call a pseudo taunt, such as Fandral, Aviana, etc, cards that you need to remove even though they don't have taunt) and is effective in Barnes/Goya control decks.
This card doesn't help you recover and is only good when you are already winning, but it is also worse than other 10MP cards in that situation too. It's also useless with Barnes which already rules it out in one of the few viable archetypes for this kind of high mana decks.
I will assume the quest for druid will do something big like adapt all 10MP minions or something like that so you can taunt this up, otherwise I don't see the point to play this.

Seems very likely that it's something at least similar to that. There's no reason this card would be a beast and unplayable otherwise. Don't get me wrong, it's possible it's just a shitty legendary, but I don't think so.

WTF? Pure Stats and "Can't be targeted" For 10 fcng mana ??? Seems like Blizzard hired some teenager trainees to design Druid cards, even a 10 year old kid could do a more interesting job. I mean, this just can't be real, this is the creativity of Team5? I know they suck but now it's a new low.
Let's talk about playability. A ten mana creature that doesn't impact the board and don't even have taunt. Hmmm... seems like Blizzard never learns . They should know by now that this type of card will never see play. I mean, JADE EXIST. Why the hell should I stop playing Jade Deck if this garbage is the other option ???
I've warned you guys, it's the same thing every expansion. They do a lousy job and give druids the most ridiculously terrible/overcosted cards . And don't even say to me shit about "quest synergy" because there's no card on Earth that can make this pile of dust playable.
Thanks Blizz for another disappointment . I don't even wanna hear a word about Jade Druid anymore in this forum. Now you know that Druid Players are left in the gutter by this horrible company.
Ultimately, the problem with this card is going to be a win more problem. The overwhelming majority of situations in which this is good is when you are either ahead or this comes down on an empty board.
If you're behind, it's not likely that even an Argus combo would save you.

No the real issue with this is taunt and glacial spike and other freeze effects.
Mmm you can combo with aviana kun and managerie warden for havin 2 or 3 12/12 on the battlefield but its still weak.
