Okay, this might make the paladin quest not totally unplayable, a good buff card that shuts down aggro if cast.
I wonder, if you cast it on an opponent's minion, who gains the Stegodon when it dies though? Also, it's weird that it doesn't give "Deathrattle: Summon a Stegodon", like Explorer's Hat's wording, does it not interact with deathrattle effects?
OP cards such as sludge belcher don't inherently win you the game (like pre&post nerf yogg), they are just stupidly good value. It should be an auto include for any control pally deck but I think its going to be a midrange silverhand meta.
Never pressume the meta will slow down, even if there are alot of slow cards in a set there will always be people exploiting that with fast paced cards...
I don't think this card is bad, but Paladin is doomed. The "new" meta is going to be dominated by mid-range (jade and/or elemental) Shamans. These decks are going to be running x2 Hex and Devolve. The whole idea of Paladin buff requires that you play two cards to get one really good minion. When your board gets hit with Devolve, you don't just get a minor downgrade in minion like for every other class, but instead you lose entirely one of two cards you used to make that minion AND get the downgrade. The difference is huge, and made worse by the fact Paladin's big quest reward is equally susceptible.
To sum, the best (and likely to be most played) class has a card that disproportionately hurts Paladin more than any other class, so Paladin will continue to suck.
Lol. Wow, I missed that one pretty badly. Crow = eaten.
to all those saying its broken, I wanna believe it is too but it really isn't
the 2/6 Taunt buff is worth 4.5 mana.
With the Stegodon created on deathrattle being a 4 cost, that means that the deathrattle is worth 2 mana. Which is half. Which is how its always been in HS.
This card is actually only .5 mana above what it should be, which is shocking because it feels like so much more. The card is actually okay.
EDIT: Also PW: Tentacles is 5 mana because Priest isnt a buff class like Pally and therefore won't have as good buffs. Plus it would help OTK Priest too much if it was lower. If it was a Pally card it would've been a 4 cost.
Now is 2017 and people still talk about silence FailFish
Maybe not autoinclude in every paladin deck but i dont see how this is bad card
6 mana for 4/12 taunt (require sticky minion) is really big, only thing can stop it is sap and transform (polymorh, hex, devolve) but not every class have transform spell ,use this to bait removal and play tirion after isnt too bad
Well,my prediction seems quite correct here . No one will run silence, some mage deck also don't use polymorph anymore This card is 6 mana 4/12 and even you use it at turn 8 with 1/1 silver hand it still a mega Sludge Belcher Fun card to play but unfun to play against

yea - balance/equality. would love to see the Dev's learn that concept.
Paladin gets Power Word: Tentacles but better.
Now gives taunt and provides a replacement 4 cost 2/6 taunt minion - for only 1 mana more!
Turn 5 Defender of Argus, turn 6 Spikeridged Steed on any of the 3 minions on board that survives, turn 7 play Stegodon if buffed creatures dies + Tar Creeper and still have full board state.
This doesn't seem too far fetched. The power creep of paladin buff cards verse its cost is getting out of hand.
Cute, ineffective, but cute.

Card is very good. Staple in normla midrange paladin.
This is maybe the best card we'vegot as a class. Too powerful.
FOR THE HORDE!
Ok this sh*t is f*kin broken. Paladin is just spammed on the ladder and is broken as f*k. Nerf it

6-mana
2/6 minion with charge and taunt
deathrattle: summon 2/6 minion with taunt
Oh, happy day when the enemy Tortollan Primalist casts Spikeridged Steed on your Stonehill Defender
To be great is to be misunderstood.
