Do you keep the spell? The wording is unclear (like always)
That's actually a fair question. If you both get the spell in your hand AND it is cast once at a random target for free, it could actually be quite powerful.
No, the cast is part of the battlecry, the spell never be in your hand.
It costs so much though?! I mean I get the discover makes the ability much superior to the servant of yogg card, but there are still so many situational/worthless spells in the game. Also, with the targets being random, any direct damage/buff spells could end up being used against you, which further limits the upside of a card like this. The artwork is adorable, and that is probably the only positive about this card....

Paladin and Priest no chance, too many situational cards and crap secrets ruining the discover.
Mage maybe is the best bet, you have a lot of expensive spells don't hurt you like Blizzard, Flamestrike and Missiles, and other draw cards for value.
Hunter don't have too many crap spells but only CotW for very good option is not enough.
This is balanced, which makes it bad. But think about it, you're paying 4 mana for the ability to discover and cast a spell for free. Which makes it ridiculously swingy.
I need an adult here: what possible practical application could this card have in standard? I'm curious about wild, but not particularly concerned if it works there for now.
Guys. the card is 8 mana because with the Discover options it doesn't automatically say that you're going to get a targeted spell. You could get a Flamestrike from this thing in Mage and cast it immediately without having to worry about randomness, you could give yourself an Ice Block or Freezing Trap for free, etc etc. I bet they also released it as a nerf to cards like Forbidden Shaping that can summon 8 mana minions, because before this thing came out there were literally no bad minions you could get off of 8 mana (other than Anomalus, and depending on the situation he could have been just as good as bad). So it's not all bad as a card.
I assume untargetable spells like Flamestrike or Arcane Intellect would always be cast for yourself, not your opponent. The random target is only for targetable spells.
One of those cards that you'd never put in your deck, but you're happy to have in your hand. It's probably not as bad as it seems at first, but still never would be put into a deck.
This is worst than my nickname. I wil probably get bunch of 100 dust because of this card.
No way, I'm still trying to get my Randuin preist deck to Legend!
One more good cost 8, 9 or 10 manas spell for hunter and I play with this card.

best card in the game
Ok card in mage. Also playabke.
So Happy that @Shadowofsensei has finally been revealed.
I want a new title, but Flux won't let me have one,
Its pretty funny to compare this value with Drakonid Operative
Nice in Evolve Shaman.
Could this get banned for arena....?

This is a lot stronger in mage because if you discover blizzard or flamestrike it will clear their board.
