Before i saw the token i was thinking this would be a pretty good hunter card, now that i see the token is 1 mana, It is really powerful. I was expecting it to cost 3
I wouldnt say its meta-defining however if you draw the 4/3 early on, its insane (and makes for a lot of memes). Even if you draw it mid-game its really decent with your curve. Insanely bad in late game because hunter usually won't last that long and with that 4/3 drawn when you badly need another card, you will get destroyed.
I think many people are overlooking a card that no one plays for a really good reason ATM, however with this new archetype forming I do believe that Infest might be able to see some play and put this deck over the top and up to teir1-1.5 easily, but only time will tell.
Remember the plot for Jurassic World (2015) ? In case you don't, here's a brief summary : After messing up with dinosaur's DNA for the sake of entertainment and following the outbreak of a T-Rex on crack, the staff of the Jurassic World theme park calls the army to secure to park. During the rescue mission, a pack of Raptors is being weaponize to help fight a bigger beast on steroid - but was the outbreak only a prequel to Un'Goro ?
um u dont get much more value than this dude... i say your completely wrong - this works EVERYWHERE
The card actually doesn't give you much value. In fact, it yields a tempo loss since you have to redraw that card and at that point the 1-1.5 mana above budget is most likely kinda unimportant. In the fringe case that you draw the card in the next two turns or so, yeah, could be decent to fill out your curve and make up that lost tempo, but otherwise it simply won't matter much. No one bats an eye about Totem Golem on turn 8. There is a stark contrast between a card like this and Nerubian Egg. I don't say the card is bad by any means, but it's not an auto-include into every hunter deck. Alleycat is a way better 1 drop on turn 1 for example.
Easily one of the most powerful cards for the theoretical 1 drop spam Hunter, but unlike other one drops, this card is more likely to find a home in traditional Midrange Hunter too. 1 mana 4/3 is not irrelevant even if topdecked late game.
It would have been better if the token raptor was a Matriarch, because male animals don't take care of their offsprings, after birth. Oh well, minor details...
Male animals don't care of their offsprings? Seriously?
While I'm probably not the first to think of this, I think Camel Hunter in Wild will be pretty interested in Raptor Hatchling and Raptor Patriarch as their one-cost minion target because before Un'Goro the best minion to put in that slot to pull with Desert Camel was Injured Kvaldir as a undamaged 2/4. Raptor Patriarch is more aggressively stated at 4/3 and it would benefit from Hunter's other beast synergies and could gain charge if you had Tundra Rhino out on the board. If anything else, enabling Kill Command for 1 mana could be handy.
Wow, this card is so highly rated, despite it have no immediate value other than being a 2/1 beast.
Add the fact that it thickens your deck so you can't get your valuable spells, and minions like tundra rhino.
Can we please fix the name...

Will hunter become playable again? Maybe. This is definitely an excellent card.

This will be the next main one drop in each Hunter deck at Std and Wild. Amazing.
